I decided to give this place a try despite the lower reviews. Well that was a mistake. Ill start with the positives the building is in a nice location and it is a nice atmosphere. Our server was very nice Thats literally it for the positives. I went in with my wife and two kids, we sat down and we ordered our drinks which came out fine. we ordered a shrimp and calamari appetizer , the shrimp and the calamari came out completely over cooked like rubber there was still poop in the shrimp because it wasnt cleaned properly and there was literally no flavor to the sauce they used for it, it was over some burnt up arugula. We ask the server to please take it off or try a different one because none of my family enjoyed it. Apparently the owner was there and it raised questions so he decided to come over and talk to me. I wish I never even complained because meeting this man destroyed my night , he claimed he was the owner but I certainly hope not, he was obliterated and belligerently drunk, after explaining the situation I must have made him upset because he told me my taste buds were F*****Up, at that point I ended the conversation told my family to go to the car and we are leaving. He proceeded to tell me that I will be paying for my app, the poor server behind this man look so embarrassed I felt so bad for her I gave her $10 and told her good luck with her job and walked out I did not pay for the food please avoid this place. Me and my husband have not been to the new location, but we have eaten at the old location probably once a week. We decided to go there tonight for our 24th wedding anniversary. I cannot deny the food is great. But the waitress at table 1 I think her name was Anita was horrible, so bad that me and my husband did not speak to one another until we got home. She ruined my whole night. Thanks for that. She still got a 20 a% tip but my husband is a much higher tipper than me. He was going to give her 30.00 vs. The 20.00 she got. I cant say enough I will not go back there. Horrible service, I wanted desert and he refused to wait at her pace and her attitude. I was actually in tears on my way home. Way to go Anita. You ruined a very special day. Food is great but service is not recommended for the amount you pay for food. Go elsewhete.

To start with the rolls were hot however the olive oil diping bowl was void of any flavorable seasoning Carrabas dipping oil has spices and something similar would have been expected.The salads ingredients and presentation was very nice, but once again the dressing was absent of any flavor. My wifes bolognaise pasta dish came out and the pasta was barely warm and once again the sauce was flavorless. if they could learn to use some basic seasoning perhaps the food would be acceptable but as it is now im surprised that they have any business.For the record,my taste buds are functioning just fine. Im not exaggerating about the blandness

mediocre . I tried to take my girlfriend here for dinner after reading some awesome reviews and was embarrassed. the outside looks very cheap and although the interior was appealing the staff was.. old , to say the least. the place is outdated. menu is outdated. workers are outdated. clearly this is an older establishment but come on.. they wont even make sweet tea. needs some major improvements. we literally just walked out that place before we even got our drinks. wouldnt recommend for people under 50.

Food was overpriced, theyre trying to do way too many restaurants under the same roof. Food came out cold didnt taste very good I wont be going back. On the way out a man smoking a cigarette in a tank top and shorts claiming to be the Chef asked how everything was. I explained how are food came out cold and he literally replied "well it is extremely busy tonight". We were in the back room bar it was about 7:30 on a Thursday it was actually really quiet in the place and I see why.

I took my husband there last night to celebrate his birthday. It was our first time dining at Avanzare. It was outstanding. The food was fresh and delicious, and the service was flawless. I had the Lobster and Shrimp Fettucine, while my husband thoroughly enjoyed the veal T-bone. We were made to feel like special guests. The chef even came out and introduced himself to us. A very special evening and we will be going back to sample the innovative menu.

5-20-2016, went for dinner with wife and her parents. I would not go there again, not worth the cost. My wife complained to waitress about the food and request that the chef be aware of the poor taste. No one came back to us, paid the bill and left never to return. It was last minute decision to go there, did not read reviews.

Absolutely Love this restaurant, we have been twice and have already made reservations to take friends next week. The Grilled Romaine is amazing, and the Filet Gorgonzola fantastic. Parmesan crusted Chicken is my next order, as my wife loves the Parmesan Souffle..............Wait staff is very good, and the back room is perfect.

Cozy, elegant atmosphere. Server was friendly and did a great job. Good pace between meals. Food was delicious, very tasty. One of a kind Italian food and experience that you cant find elsewhere in Vero. Reasonable prices for the dining experience and homemade tasty food. Definitely will be coming again.

DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!! Owner is a corrupt two faced liar that would rather support wealthy snobs than the majority of his customers. Horrible service, rude staff, WAY OVER PRICED FOOD!!!!!! Will never eat here again. Expect worse experience than Taco Bell.

Being from NY I have been looking hard to find a good Italian restaurant... I believe I found it! Calamari is one of my favorites so imagine my delight and surprise when there appetizer turned out to be the best Ive ever had!!!

The food we had was pretty good but even though the place was not full and no one speaking loudly we could hardly hear each other talk. So there are too many other good places in Vero rather than put up with this....

As you can see I had about 6 clams in my linguine with clam sauce. And one of them was empty. I finished my plate in less than 2 minutes. Wasnt bad tasting, but not great either. One and done here.

My wife and I try to eat here at least once a month. The food is outstanding and we both rate Avanzare as the best restaurant in Vero Beach. Highly recommend the Lasagna Bolognese. Un-believable.

Fancy stuff but for a steak I would prefer the Ocean Grill. Lots of fried potatoes....not so much steak. If you like truffle flavored stuff this is your place....not a taste I particularly like.

The veal T bone was pretty amazing. The staff were friendly and knowledge, especially Kris behind the bar. We will be returning to taste the entire menu. I suspect the chef is quite talented.

Terrific Italian — best meal weve had in Vero. Pastas are fresh, perfectly prepared, and pared with tasty sauces. Wines are decent. Service is friendly.
