** Called Bay County Sheriff After Horrid Sushi ** Worst Management I Have Ever Encountered Worst Sushi I had ever eaten!! The fish was obviously old, the rice was mushy and the roll was served at room temperature. We asked for the manager and after complaining the manager said,"I serve you food, you pay." We told him that we would not pay for horrid food and he called the police immediately. After an hour of explaining to the police of what happened he agreed to not press charges if we paid for the little salad and tiny bowl of miso soup I had eaten. He then proceeded to tell us that the bowl of soup was $5.99 and the salad was $5.99. Normally this soup and salad are normally free with any meal. I then requested that he show the officer where these prices were and he said they were not on the menu. I then offered the last $7.00 (the only cash I had in my pocket and he sure as hell wasnt going to get my credit card) to not press charges. He said, "You will respect me and that I underestimated him due his size and to never come back to his restaurant again!" Please spread the word as this business does not deserve our support!

The food was good and the cook was good and I would have rated this place better BUT....after I paid my bill...which was $60...I didnt leave a tip on my card..because I prefer to give tip in cash. I was waiting to ask for change so I could leave a tip and the little lady that comes and takes the check ask if there was something wrong with the service. I was like no I need change. She proceeds to say..well gratuity was not included. Im like I know it wasnt...I need change. Then she says oh I can get change. Then she proceeds to stand there to see how much of a tip I was going to give. This pissed me off so bad and I started not to leave a tip after she got me change, but I left one...a lot less than what I had anticipated. I wanted to say a few choice words, but my kids were with me. How are you going to force me to tip after I just spent $60 in your establishment! Maybe she thought because I was black I wasnt going to leave a tip period.

We visited this restaurant on 5/18 for dinner service at the habachi table. Minimal wait considering we had to wait for another party to join our table. Appetizer: #1 veggie and shrimp tempura. Just ok. #2 shrimp and veggie dumplings. We asked for pan fried and we got deep fried. Not good Soup: #1 miso, ok. #2 beef. Light broth with ground beef and mushroom. Ok. Habachi Entrees: #1 steak and shrimp & #2: filet mignon and shrimp. The meat was tender and cooked to our request. No flavor or seasong. Shrimp started off good with salt, pepper & butter and turned into a hot mess when cheff added a sweet, brown sauce (not teriyaki). Fried rice lacked tons of flavor. Veggies were ok. Overall. Great ambiance & interaction with the cheff. Needs flavor!!!!! Needs sauce other than siracha. If your going to pay $100 for one meal for two, you deserve a lot more.

Very good place to eat. Owner seated our party. The wait was not long at all. We were seated and our orders were taken. This did not take long either. What really impressed me was that the owner walked around joking with customers. One child who had a birthday got a cupcake or small cake. Another person who had a birthday also had a cake brought out. Im not sure if this was requested, but everyone sang happy birthday and I could tell both parties were happy. Yes, they have yum yum sauce you just have to ask. I ordered shrimp and it tasted fresh out of the Gulf. There shrimp was better than other seafood places ive eaten, and I wont mention them here. I also found pricing to be right on the mark with other hibachi places in the area. Definitely worth the trip for dinner. It was dinner and a show! Owner is hands on and cares! Food is very excellent!

Our experience at Mikato was overall a decent one but our service was dreadful. She was horrible at explaining dishes, our check, etc. She spoke in such a low voice that no one at our table could hear her the first, or second time she said something. We tried to tell her to speak louder to no avail. When our check was brought to us, we tried to pay but then after 15 minutes she finally brought us back our card and said that only a certain amount could be taken out, and we had to pay with cash to cover the difference. We decided to give her a tip anyway, as the cook was spectacular, but come to find out, she had took $10 more dollars then what was shown on the check, and took the rest of the money for herself! Dont come here unless you are watching them like a hawk with your money, and check your balances online!

Wow where do i start with ourb terrible dinning experience. Our cook and waitresses could not speak or understand English! Our cook was rude, lot of our hibatchi food landed on table, asked for salt and soy repeatedly before provided. Ordered tempura appetizer and two filet dinners, when our tab arrived we were charged for a tempura meal, asked owner/manager to correct and he argued with us that we ordered a tempura meal but it was due to waitress error. Fortune cookie had no fortune so we mentioned it expecting him to give us another one cent cookie. He told us to go buy a lottery ticket sarcastically. Food was mediocre at best, vegetables were under cooked also. Do not eat here, worst dining experience ever. Thanks for reading my post.

We have eaten at many different Japanese Restaurants, and Mikato Japanese Steak House is by far one the BEST! The Combination Platters that we chose were perfectly cooked and a complete meal... We tried the Hibachi Chicken Dinner... It came with a large Salad (I tried the tasty House Dressing) and the Soup that I got was their Beef Soup (delicious)... The Bartender James kept me refreshed while my food was being prepared... He was kind and I enjoyed talking with him. This is our new favorite... I believe Mikato is one of PCBs hidden treasures.

Loved it! Fun and delicious for the whole family! The service was great. The chef and servers were friendly, attentive, and efficient. The manager came around repeatedly making sure we were all happy and satisfied. The food was fabulous. It was cooked perfectly, and the hibachi meal included soup, salad, and dessert. The atmosphere was very pretty, unique, and inviting. I cant believe I have lived in this town forever and have never tried this place! Mikato will definitely become a regular dinner out for us!
