We were looking for a place close to the beach, not too expensive, and hopefully good. Decided to try it based on closeness and reviews. Plus it wasnt your typical franchise or on the vacationers list. It is located by the lagoon area. And it sits right beside a fresh seafood market. Both good signs. Go early though because according to the waitstaff they do a brisk business. We however showed up unknowingly right before closing time. They still treated us very well seating us and bringing drinks. It wasnt until halfway through the meal we found that our waitress belonged to the family who has owned/run the restaurant for the last 30+ yrs. Now on to the food. I was looking for good boiled shrimp. They werent on the menu :( But when I told our server what I wanted she recommended the Cajun Steamed Shrimp from the appetizers plus a side. You can get them hot or chilled. I got them hot, a friend ordered chilled. Both were excellent!!! Really fresh and cooked to perfection. My wife ordered the fried shrimp which delicious. And my friends wife ordered the baked oysters :-/. I dont care for oysters but I tried one and it was way better than expected. She said they were as good as Shuckems but much bigger. If you go ask to see the Old Man, Who is the owner. At 86 he still works doing whatever needs doing whether greeting customers helping in the kitchen or helping customers park. So go help a local business owner and leaving the big chain stores behind one night. You will be glad you did.

I have never took the time to put a review on anything, However, this place deserves it. My brother lives here in Panama City just around the corner from Pier77. When we come down to vacation we always want seafood, so we always have went to another very popular seafood place where you get all you can eat crabs legs. However the price as went up every year,. Mr brother turned us on to this place, Pier77. He said we had to try the She Crab Soup, as well as their other stuff oyster, tuna steak, gator etc. Now, I must tell you my husband is not one to eat just any seafood. But he LOVED the tuna steak, We LOVED LOVED LOVED the She Crab soup!! Absolutely the BEST!!! I went out on a limb and tried the gator as well as the fried oysters!! I have always wanted to try oysters. Again, THE BEST!!! This is a must try place!! When you pull up it looks like a country, laid back grandmas house. At first glance I got the impression that Grandmas in there cooking breakfast not seafood. So laid back. One other thing..... you must get the $1 margaritas when they have them. They make the whole dinner a finish. I just wish they where open before 4pm on rainy days like today. I sure could use some soup!! Hurry up 4pm. The Padgetts Georgia

Food was okay,, not bad but priced as though it was top of the line. We got the Platter and expected the portions to be larger based on the 23.99 price and was very disappointed. The fried oysters were very small and somewhat dry. The scallops were very small and we are not much for crab cakes, but we thought wed give it a try. The shrimp were small and the hush puppies wont hold to candle to Capt. Ds! Oh and even the condiments were not freshly served. They were the per-packaged sour cream in a tube. Reminded me of a side of the road cafe that goes to the local restaurant supplier for the cheap stuff! I wont be back. In my humble opinion, if you want to get more bang for your buck, Red Lobster is better! Especially with the Cheddar Garlic biscuits. I realize that everyone has different criteria, however if you are looking to have a good portion for the price, this place is not it.

I have to say, after eating at various other seafood houses in PCB we tried this... no waiting, seated immediately... the food was simply outstanding! I ordered the Blackened Grouper - oooh man it was awesome. My son ordered the Red Snapper and let me finish off a lil bite - it too was excellent. My older son ordered the jumbo shrimp (YUM!), and I asked if it was "gulf shrimp": waiter said they were tied with the fish house across the street at the docks which get fresh seafood daily! IT WAS FRESH! and my wife went with turf - I asked her and she said it was very good, slathered with onions and it made my mouth water just seeing it. Ive been many places here and was simply shocked at how freaky unreal this big surprise was - a little place with perhaps one of the best chiefs on the beach - little known, but wait for tomorrow! Try it. Its just up and across from Capt Andersons & docks...

Have never been more disappointed/upset in my life. The food was delicious, but the waitress who had our table was possibly the worst ever. She was actually mean enough to me between rolling her eyes and her sighing at me that the 15 y.o. family member who I was seated by even commented that she hated me. The final straw was when she yelled at me to watch my mouth because I said the word "Hell". I am 45 years old, and have never had a stranger be so horrible to me before. And no, I wasnt saying Hell to her,,,I was having a conversation with my husband and other family. Had to go outside after that because I was ready to cry. Needless to say, I will never go back.

If given an opportunity for a 0 star I would give it... This is the first time in my life I have ever taken the time to write a review, the food, service and overall experience was sooo bad I felt obligated. The portions are small, the fish was from frozen, not fresh frozen but Captain Ds/Long John Silvers frozen...at premium prices...I would have been better off to take my family to Captain Ds I would have gotten more better service, better food and wouldnt have dropped $85 for 5...we all had stomach issues after we left too...WORST FOOD ON IN PANAMA CITY

Started with the crab cakes. Absolutely delicious!! Comes with a side of the she crab soup. Highly recommend! The blackened grouper was prepared perfectly! My girlfriend had the grilled shrimp which was seasoned just right and not overcooked like alot places do! Brought home some of the gator that was excellent also. Family owned and family oriented. Loved every minute of it! Great food at a great price. Special THANK YOU to the Old Man and our server. You made us feel at home! Making this one of our "go to" places when we visit Panama City!

Dont let the atmosphere fool you... the food is great and the service even better. My family and i were concerned about the outside appearance of the building but were soon greated warmly by one of the best servers we have ever had. The food was great and well priced. The desserts were also good. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for great seafood and good service.

We enjoyed everything about Pier 77 comfortable , staff very friendly, food was very well prepared local shrimp, oysters from Louisiana and Keylime pie from Key West. For me delicious! Key West is where Im from. We go to all the seafood restaurants around the area pier Park and this was a nice getaway from the crowd. Hoping more people will eat here it really is good.
