BEWARE. If you are looking for service, you will not find it here!!! I had the unfortunate displeasure of dining at this establishment today - it was not my fist time. The service has never been good, but today, it was some of the worst I have ever experienced or witnessed. The waitress took our order and we never saw her again...someone else brought out the food (she was very rude, as well) and the "bus boy" had to provide refills for our drinks. The waitresses are more concerned with gossiping than with serving; and I was informed today that since there is no "cashier" on duty, the waitress is doing you a favor by ringing up your bill...no apologies offered...do not expect anyone to work too hard at ensuring you enjoy your visit. The food is decent, but not enough to EVER visit this cafe again.

I have eaten at Gyro Cafe many times since I moved to PC in 2001. I always enjoy the food and the service is generally good as well (yes, just like every place else out there, they have had some bad servers on occasion). If you are expecting a high-end Greek restaurant, look elsewhere, which why they call it a cafe. The meat is really tasty, and contrary to what another reviewer said, is what gyro meat is supposed to be. Its a combination of lamb, beef, and seasonings. Greeks use the same type of meat and sometimes even add strips of fat to the mix. This is not health food. The price is reasonable and even though I no longer live in Panama City, I try to stop by whenever I am back in town.

Some guy wrote a review saying theres not a greek in sight at this restaurant. Aside from the racial stereotype, that doesnt mean that the food isnt good. In fact, when I go to a Mexican restaurant, it usually isnt full of Mexicans, and Ive never seen a Japanese person at Mikatos, which has the best sushi in town! Anyway, I love going here. I always get the 2 can dine special which is a gyro, curly fries and a drink. The service may be slow, so budget that in your time and just relax and enjoy the place.

I recently took my toddler here for lunch. I didnt think it was going to be a kid friendly place at first but I was surprised how even the dinners didnt mind a outspoken 1 year old. I had a gyro which was loaded with feta like how I love it and some hummus and toasted pita. The homemade hummus was the best. The pita was toasted perfectly. My son had grilled cheese. The staff is welcoming and friendly. We both enjoyed our lunch. I will return in the feature especially to have some more of that hummus.

I could eat here all day, every day for the rest of my life and be very happy! The staff knows each of my family members by name. The place is so clean you would feel that eating in the restroom could be a possibility. No matter how you pronounce it everyone understands the pleasure of a wonderful, delicious meal. From homemade fresh cut seasoned curly fries to the very crisp and fresh salads whatever you order you will not be disappointed. Dont forget the extra feta!!!!

Went today for lunch at apparently the busiest time of day...place was full, but we never once felt stressed or rushed to finish our meal. Staff was working hard, but still kept the meal a pleasure surroundings. Gyro was good and curly flies were sublime in their simplicity....but the real star was the baklava...awesome. If we lived in the area, this would be a regular stop as it is apparently already for so many in the area.

I came in for a take out order. The restaurant was very clean and inviting. Unfortunately it took me several minutes to get a menu and place an order even though every employee there walked past me several times. When I got my order, the food was gross. The pita was stale and the fries undercooked. Save your money or go to the food court at the mall for better food and service.

Food is ok. Not the best gyros Ive had but not the worst. Its hit or miss if the meat is dry. I always order the traditional gyro. The fries are awesome here, fresh cut, thin spiral fries. The service here is usually slow and the waitresses are not very friendly. But in panama city there really isnt another gyro place Ive found so i keep going back to get my gyro fix.

GREAT GYROS BUT!!!!! the male workers dont wear gloves and they cook right in front of you. Its kind of gross when you see them touch their phone or the counter and go straight for the lettuce and vegetables. Ive spoken to the owner before about it but I guess he doesnt care. He owns Taco Casa as well , FYI. Once again good gyros but :( on the cleanliness.

This is the best place for gyros around hands down. Friendly staff, plenty of ways you can customize your gyro, and great prices. If you love Greek cuisine, you simply must give this place a visit. The only thing that could make this place better is an overhaul on their bathrooms and updated furniture which can be a tad wobbly at times.

This place has amazing gyros, but their kurly fries are almost better. Ive been here about a dozen times and the service hasnt been the greatest. The food is always ready super fast, but Ive had issues getting refills and whatever waitress Ive had has been paying more attention to a baby at another table. 4 Stars for great food though!

I didnt expect much from this unassuming restaurant, but I had a surprisingly delicious gyro. The food was excellent, reasonably priced, and the staff was friendly. The missing star is simply because the restaurant wasnt the cleanest and the outdated interior left something to be desired. With a small remodel, Id give it 5 stars.

Service good. Greek salad was wilted greens with white core of iceberg lettuce that I do not like. Tsatziki dressing was pure yogurt barely flavored, without garlic, no fresh dill, no lemon juice, nor diced cucumbers . Do not order the Greek salad if you want authentic Greek salad. Baklava is not fresh either.

Ive been going over 10 years since theyve opened. Ive ordered 2 traditionals w/ xtra "Z" on the side every time. This is one of my FAV spots to eat in town. They know me by name and have a rewards club you can join that saves you a ton of money. If youve never had a gyro before you NEED to go here.

Good Gyros but I dont know who voted the fries the best in bay. We have been here multiple times and I have just given up on the fries. They taste like they are cooked in old oil and they just unpleasant. But the gyros are great. It is a good quick lunch when done on 23rd street

My wife and I frequent this restaurant as its locally owned with an attentive and friendly staff. Southern style sweet tea is always good. The 2 can dine special makes dinner affordable as well as tasty.
