I am a local and I eat here almost daily. The food is good and the customer service is excellent. I was supprised when I went to "check-in" online today and saw the review by Johnny. The review by Johnny is very interesting to me. I happened to be there that day and there were 2 seats at the bar (where I was sitting since I was alone and it was very busy) and several 2 tops open. The back table he was sitting at was near me, and seats 5 people. He had finished eating and had a cup of coffee. The owner did ask if he could move to a smaller table or the bar - he was only one person, not even eating anymore, had been there since before me and there was a line out the door and families with children waiting on a table. When he got rude and insisted that he was more important than any of the other customers and saying "Ill sit here all day if I want and you should appreciate the business I send you", the owner did say "youre killing me" and left it at that. The owner did not yell, kick him out or insist he leave. He was asking a favor so a family carrying around their kids could have a place to sit. This is a small family owned place with limited seating, and the owners are very nice. They would not ask a customer to move if they were not a regular, it was not the busiest day/time of the week, or if they were still eating. I have moved many times to allow larger parties to sit, without being asked. Its just the nice thing to do, but maybe thats just me. If you want to go to a restaurant with great food that is family friendly and the owners and staff are great, The Bunnery is for you! As for the food here, it is amazing and well priced for downtown! The pastries are baked fresh and made from scratch in house. The breakfasts are large and made to order and the people are wonderful!!!

We went there for a late breakfast, and at 11:00 we ordered and were told or ticket number was 31. The numbers are not called in any sort of order. After 15 minutes my husband went to the window and asked if they missed our ticket and they said no they arent in order. So we waited. At 11:30 the whole clientele we walked in with had already eaten and left so hubby went up to ask again and the blonde chef said "if you dont like it get your money back. Go see that guy over there." While he talked to who I presumed was the manager, I watched them put our ticket in a bunch that were hanging together. The manager walked over and they handed him the wrong one. As the woman at the register was doing the refund, I told the manager what I saw and he said I was not telling the truth. The woman told him not to pursue the conversation and he got very rude with my husband and said we were told it would be 30 minutes when we ordered. We said we were not told that and he said well we should have and walked away. The money was returned but the service and treatment we received was horrendous! We will never recommend nor go back.

i have been visiting the bunnery on average of 3 times per week for over 2 years. I manage a small B&B of which i refer on average of 100 Bunnery customers per month equalling to about $700.00 a month. The bunnery refer no one to my business. This is the thanks i get... ...Today, i sit down at a table next to George, the owner of the bunnery, whom was having a coversation with someone at a table next to me. ````As i am enjoying my coffee and bagel, George looks over at me and says ""you are killing me"". Bewildered as to whether he was ingaging me in conversation or, he than says, "why could you not sit at the bar so others could have the bigger table"? Bewildered even more because when i came in there were no vacant seats at the bar and George himself was occupying his OWN customers table. ````This hypocracy has happened many times, the owner accosting me about sitting to long at a table at the same time he himself was occupying a table. George! you just lost my business and all my referrals. My name is John Romano. Treating me this way, your customer, a loyal customer is against all customer service rules.

I chose to eat breakfast at this bakery for the last day of my trip. As I was in line I watched as an employee brought freshly baked spinach feta croissants out of the oven. They looked very good so I chose to order one for breakfast. I asked the cashier for one of the hot croissants and he went to get one. When he already had the hot croissants on a plate, the girl putting the croissants out told the cashier to put it back a give me one of the old ones. I ask the cashier again for the fresh one and the girl looked at me and said " I just put them all out." As the cashier placed it on the counter, I put my hand on the croissant and told the girl, "I just watched you put them out." She ignored me. The croissant was cold so I gave it back. The cashier just put it back in the basket. I spoke to the owner and all he had to say was, "well its not more than 2 hours old."

After a long day of walking, I needed some ice tea and a snack. Walked in and it was very nice. I got a large glass of ice tea and a chocolate chip cookie. The tea was free refills as long as I stayed there. I was able to put down about three glasses and refilled to go. The cookie was pretty good. Little pricy at but good. Our waitress that was behind the counter was very friendly and polite. The bathrooms were around back with no air conditioning and it was a really hot day. The place looked pretty clean with no obvious problems. The place had quite a few customers and was still very quiet inside. That is what I like. I will give them a try for lunch next time and update this post.

Great food, quick service, takes credit cards, they have long lines but they keep it going, which helps when they only have so many tables. One of the party had a full order of sausage gravy. He couldnt finish it all, first time ever. He was like that is lot. Their breakfast sandwich is out of this world huge and tasty. I am taking the biggest I ever seen. We shared a sticky bun with pecans topping it but I really want to go back and try more from their menu. Out of all our meals while in St. Augustine, this was the best one and a decent price. I am not fond of breakfast foods and this is one place I will make an exception for after only one visit.

Food was good, when we finally got it. Staff was rude, not to me personally but was very loud to another customer who has just asked about the wait of their food. He very ruddy snapped at them that they were busy and to take it or leave it. Overall food was good. Very busy. We tried to stop in stairway and elder due to a 30 minute wait on food but we did end up getting a bite Sunday, was good, the bacon was excellent and the portion was large. Would recommend just have to catch it at a good time.
