I went in here to grab a sweet pastry after lunch at Dexters next door. I walked in at 12:43, waited in line for a minute or two, and ordered one cronut (a croissant/donut hybrid) with nutella on it. There were a few other people in the restaurant, but it was mostly empty and not busy at all. The cronuts were in a presentation case in the front. It took at least 12 minutes for them to get a cronut from the case, split it, and spread nutella on it. It was room temperature and tasted okay; it didnt blow my mind. It took WAY, WAY too long to prepare and deliver to me. Ive spread nutella on toast before, I know how long it takes. I could have cut slices of bread from a loaf, placed them in a toaster, toasted them, and spread nutella on it myself faster than it took them to get a pre-made room temperature cronut from the display case and slap some spread in it. I would understand if they were packed, but one guy was in front of me and he ordered a sandwich. There was one person in the back prepping the sandwich, and the cashier just flitted around the store not doing anything while we waited for our cronut. She could have had us out of there in 2 minutes had she bothered. She did apologize for the wait and was friendly the entire time we were in there, which I appreciated.

My wife, daughter and I stopped in yesterday for something sweet to bring home for dessert and possibly a breakfast pastry. When we walked in, we were not greeted by the person behind the counter. We poked around for a little bit before we decided on some chocolates that were not made by the bakery. The girl behind the counter seemed irritated that we were there, but we were still customers. We decided that we would try something made at the bakery to take home and ordered 6 canels. It seemed like it was more of nuisance to have her do more work. To add insult to injury, we tried the canels and every one tasted burnt and dry. Now, I know that canels are supposed to have a caramelized/brownish outside, but they should never taste burnt. I am all about supporting small business, but when the cashier is in a crappy mood and the pastries we tried were crappy, I can only hope that management takes this criticism constructively and fixes the problems. Locals support local business in Thornton Park. You lost a customer.

Fresh from a vacation in Paris, I figured that Id try again to find a real baguette in the Orlando area. The baguettes at Benjamins are the real deal. A hard crispy crust, properly NOT bathed in an egg white sheen, surrounds large holes on the inside that offers a bit of a resistance when you bite off a piece. I cannot think of another bakery, artisan or not, in the area that offers an authentic baguette. Heaven! Unless you have been to Paris, you may think what you had up until now was a real baguette. The wide variations in what is offered from the other local bakeries to the chains should be a clue that you are not getting the real deal. Believe me, having enjoyed baguettes just weeks ago in the City of Light; Benjamins is spot on. Had a Bastia sandwich on this toothsome bread that was dressed with butter just like a sandwich from a recently visited Cafe in Paris. Had a Frasier and a double espresso that brought me back across the pond again. Friendly service tops off the fabulous experience and food.

Terrible customer service ! Im french so I was so happy that I found a french bakery in Orlando, let me tell you that I was so disappointed by their service, I tried to engage conversation in French with that lady she wasnt in the mood to greet me properly. The food is so expensive for the portion and their baguette omg ! it tastes like flower more than anything else! I usually never write reviews but I was so disappointed by this place I couldnt help myself. I know its nothing like a real french bakery I had hope but I will keep my expectation to myself and come to realize there is no good french food in America

This is a small cozy place with great outdoor seating on the sidewalk where you can people watch as you enjoy your meal or beverage. I shared the St. Tropez Panini which featured delicious smoked salmon alon with the Normande salad which contained grilled chicken along with brie and some fresh fruit served over greens. Both dishes were thoroughly enjoyed as we ate them outside with our iced coffees.

Great authentic French eatery. Awesome pastries, sandwiches, and coffee of wine, if you choose. Small cafe with limited inside seating but fun window bar stools providing a view to the passer bys or outdoor seating also great for people watching. Cant go wrong stopping by and grabbing some food and drink at this cute French cafe. Thorton Park establishment - very cute and cozy.

The food was quite tasty, however the portions were pretty small which was disappointing as the prices are on the expensive side. I paid close to $9 for a panini with cheese and tomatoes and it was less than 6 inches long. Lastly I felt like one of the ladies thst works there was a bit rude when I accidentally threw away one of their plastic bowls. Not the best experience.....

If you find yourself in Thornton Park or are just looking for a taste of Paris in the morning stop in and try, well, anything, its all tre magnifique. My favorite is the Croissant Ham, Cheese & Egg with their amazing iced coffee (it makes that weird mermaid logo place taste like crap). When there, say hi to Amira, Greg and the rest of the great people who work there!!!

Visited here twice on a recent trip. Food and people were fantastic. Got to enjoy a sandwich on a fresh baguette the likes I have not had since being in France years ago. We purposely went back the next morning to buy chocolate croissants, which they were sold out of the day before. I bought two and it should have been ten. Delicious.

This is authentic French pastry! I just bought their Buche de Noel for a party. Everyone raved about it. While I was picking up the cake, I decided to sample their croissants. They are the best I ever ate, without a doubt. Im telling all my Winter Park friends to head to Benjamin for those special pastries.

Cest magnifique! The croissant literally melt in your mouth! Their baguettes? Absolutely the best! Perfectly crusty on the outside and soft on the inside! I took the baguette home heated in the oven and it was to die for! Like having a France in your home! Will become a frequent customer! Jadore Benjamin Cafe!

Extremely rude employees. They messed up my order twice. Then I found a hair in my food and they didnt apologize and accused me of putting hair in the food myself. I had to ask for a refund and wasnt offered a refund or a different menu item. My friends and I were then glared at as we left the restaurant.

Les baguettes sont très bonnes. Les tartes aussi, la crème brûlée laisse un peu à désirer. Mais, les croissants, ça cest quelque chose!

This is the closest thing one gets to experiencing french food besides living in France. Hope you prosper and stay in our community. Thank you for doing all the extra steps and using the best quality to keep it authentic. I get excited when I am coming to your cafe :))))
