I have been going here since the place opened...the food is excellent, especially the mojo, grilled, FRESH chicken! Try a 1/4 chicken (ask for white) with two sides - we get balsalmic tomatoes & red onion...and black beans & yellow rice (both) is the 2nd...dont forget to get the cilantro/garlic dipping sauce at the condiment bar! Not only is the food pretty darn tasty and will fill anyone up - its under $4.00!! You can also buy an entire chicken with two sides for $9.99 to go!! They have a drive thru!! You CANT make food like this for that price...hello?!The reviewer below made some comments...OK - Ill admit - there may be one or two punk kids with a tude...but youre going to find that anywhere (except Chik Filet-lol) but most of the people that work here are very respectful and are very customer service-oriented. My wife and I probably eat here 2-3 times a week...but love to stop in on Friday evenings...eat...then walk over to the movie theater next door! This is probably my favorite place to eat...fast, fresh, good! Check it out! BTW...never had a problem in the drive thru...

You know, weve been REGULARS at this location for years, and their food is really good. But lately their service is HORRIBLE! I was so IRRITATED with their service the past few times weve been there, and tonight finally sent me over the edge. I feel its time to share it. We always purchase the family meal deal and GO IN as opposed to do Drive thru to ensure they do it right. Well, once again, when we get all the way home, they had left stuff out that we paid for. This time, I called and drove back up and asked that they do something about it. Throw in an extra side, a coupon or something for the inconvenience of me having to drive BACK! The manager didnt even come to the window. Not a word. It wasnt even that busy! She had the drive thru staff tell me they were out of coupons and "the next time you come in" well get you one. Seriously? You would give up a regular customer (family of 5 diners) over a $2.39 side dish that was YOUR MISTAKE?? YOU SHOULD HAVE COME TO THE WINDOW! Our family wont be back.

The small portion serving of the rice, beans and 2-piece dark chicken at this location at Tampa Rd., was ridiculous! I had to physically go back myself and ask for a larger portion of chicken. And although they exchanged the chicken, it was not significantly larger. In addition, the air conditioner was not working properly. It mustve been at least 80 degrees inside the restaurant. Ive eaten at other Pollo Tropical locations and the portions of food have always been satisfying along with the A/C. I will try this location one more time. But if I find that the same situations occur again, Im writing a letter of complaint to their Corporate Office.

Food is good but I cant speak for the actual cleanness of the place. We came in on a Saturday at 7PM. First of all there wasnt any tables available since they werent actually cleaned. When Staff cleaned them she just picked up trays and dishes but did not wipe down tables at all. There was spilled tea by fountain that i almost slipped and they did no clean for at least 20 minutes. Seriously I ate and finished it was still there. Once they cleaned it was slippery and placed no sign. My other concern was lack of cleaning overall.

i know grilled check trust me this chicken at pollo tropical is fire super good the chicken tho i dont eat nothing else there since they specialize in the chicken it so good makes me want whole chicken to my self Im originally from new jersey , in our area we have brazlian and portaguse bbq thats very similar to their chicken those place are called churrasquieras there chicken is banging and i love polo tropical if you go there make sure u get half chicken with rice and beans i think Im gonna go now cause i want more chicken

If youre looking for bang for your buck, this is the place. For $6.99 I got a half chicken which was very moist and falling off the bone, good smoked rotisary flavor, with a roll and two sides. Rice and beans are one side and a lot of them, and a side of corn. Im a big eater and I had to force myself to eat all of it. Only four stars because theyre not really into cleanliness. All the tables were dirty, just seams like they pickup the dishes but never wipe them down. If they do wipe them down, tables are still sticky.

I have been to this pollo tropical, and I was in line waiting to be served then Rachel one of their worker size me up and down and for another server to help me. I guess she was too good to take my order. I went a second time to the restaurant then Rachel stood there and looked at me and my daughter with a discussing look. They need to replace her with a friendlier and business oriented worker. I give it a 2 stars because of Rachel being with an attitude with certain races.

I really love the food and although some of the staff is nice, there are the ones with the stank attitude that make it worse. You get scowls if you ask for anything extra like peppers on the tropichop and once even after being requested a second time an employee totally ignored me. Im sorry but that food is too Damn expensive to be treating customers like garbage. I wanted to go today but changed my mind just thinking of how terrible some of the employees can be.

Pollo tropical has very good food, especially considering the price. The staff always treats me well. They even offer discounts for all police officers and government employees. I am a government employee and recieve a nice discount from here. They dont allow discounts in the drive through for whatever reason though, but I dont mind going inside because its usually clean. It isnt what Id consider a fast food chain. It has real food, the service is quick however!

The people who worked there seemed nice, but the food was terrible. The chicken was dry, and the ribs things are like eating salty leather. The food that my friend ate was tasteless. There are so many other fast service places to eat in the area... I would not bother with this place. One last thing... the restaurants eating area was not clean. The floor has a lot of things spilled on it and most of the tables were not properly bussed after people left.

I try to come to this restaurant because for quick food its not too unhealthy. My issue with this Pollo Tropical is that the employees pay 0 attention to what they are doing. 9 out of 10 times I get the wrong order. I speak clearly, listen to my order be repeated back to me, listen AGAIN as Im paying and they still manage to give me the wrong food.

Its nice to have more options for healthier food in a pinch. If you thought Pollo Tropical might be that option, ya thought wrong. Twice ive gone through the drive thru, same situation happened both times. Wait over 10 minutes, unpleasant staff, food stale and just not pleasant. Pollo Tropical is not for you, dont waste your time like i did, twice.
