You wrote a review for China A 12 minutes ago 3.0 star rating 2/11/2017 On a whim my husband and I decided to stop in here one night. We had never been here before and were in the mood to try something new and so we decided to dine in. The restaurant is very small, only two or three tables. That night it was just our table and one other one having dinner. As soon as we entered we were greeted by a very enthusiastic lady who informed us that they have Chinese, Thai, and Japanese food. Indeed. Their menu is extensive. My husband asked what was good and he finally settled on a rice noodles with chicken in a spicy sauce while I went with my old standby cashew chicken. While we waited I looked around the restaurant. It was eclectic. There were the usual things you expect to see like Lucky Cat but there was also a large wall hanging of Italy and the flag of Ireland behind their Buddha. I can forgive their confusing decor but not the black air vents and ceiling tiles. They needed a serious cleaning. When I see something like that it is a complete turn off. Our dinners came with wonton soup served in strange little mismatched bowls. Mine had a puppy face on it. It was like something you would use to serve a toddler. The dinner was good. Plenty of tender chicken in a nice brown sauce with crisp vegetables. I had enough for leftovers and hubby must have enjoyed his because he finished his entire dinner. No egg rolls with dinner though, I thought that was weird. I also thought the bill was high for what we got. it was $30 plus for the two of us not including tip and I only drank water. Not terribly high, Ive just had similar for less money. Between the higher prices and grime we probably wont be going back but the decor amused us and was definitely a different kind of experience to eat here.

This place used to be a decent spot for Chinese, they had reasonable prices and specials and good hours for a late craving however at present I was let down on many ways on my last experience with them so much so I feel compelled to share. It was a simple to go order of General Tsos chicken and a side of chicken noodle soup. I really dont know where to begin so Ill say the food even though picked up as soon as it was "ready" was barely passable for warm it was undeniable it was not just cooked nor was it crispy it mildly warm and entirely soggy...big yuck. The dish literally had two...YES TWO! small broccoli florets, They are RIDICULOUSLY cheap there. I quickly found to what extent the cost cutting was. In addition to the non existent broccoli the breaded chunks which were supposed to be chicken where no more then extremely extremely small chunks of chicken with 4x the fried breading as one would expect. I would be surprised if there was more the 2 ounces of actually meat in that dish. Now this next let down is a first for me the fried rice on the side had no pork pieces in it, thats literally what give the fried rice a good flavor. But not to be confused you can ADD THIS TO THE RICE FOR $1 MORE...This place is truly pathetic never have I seen a restaurant take crucial elements out of a dish or include them in such pitiful quantities and expect happy customers. Im not sure when this extreme cost cutting took effect but I certainly will not go in there again nor would I recommend it even as dog food!!! What a lousy lousy meal get your act together or at least market properly and change your name to "China D-"

The food is great! Ive been there a total of three times and get the same things. Me and my husband both get two orders of tuna rolls, two orders of miso soup and two orders of seaweed salad. However, I give this restaurant two stars. All three of my experiences at this establishment has been take out. My first experience I pick up my order thinking I got what I asked for. Couldnt have been happier! My second experience, I realize I have double the amount of tuna roll then my first experience but for no difference in price from the last. My third experience, now realized I was skimped and charged from my first experience I brought it to the cashiers attention. The responses was clear. "How do I know your telling the truth?" Acceptable... So I tell him there must be record of my previous sales from previous dates. In this case first being just two weeks ago, and the second being last week. He taps on the computer then looks up at us and says "No record". Im appalled at this point because when I placed the order on the phone providing them my phone number the cashier continued by stating my name. I work in the business and I genuinely liked there food. Its works with my diet plan so its a shame that I will not be returning to this restaurant for how they handled something that could have been easily rectified. I wasnt looking for a free meal. I was looking for compensation because clearly I was skimped the first time I went there. Its bad business if you ask me. And shame on cashier for applying 0 customer service

Just got done eating food from this place. We decided to try it because the food from our usual Chinese delivery has declined so we were hoping to find something better. Unfortunately, it was worse. I placed the order online which was easy and efficient. Delivery was made in a timely manner. -- So no complaints on those services. Complaints -- Food portions were very small. Food was very bland tasting, like it was a microwaved meal. Ive actual had better Chinese food from microwaved meals at grocery store. Rice was absolutely disgusting. We ordered 3 dishes (beef n broc, Gen Tsos Chicken and Boneless Spare Ribs), with fried rice and egg rolls. None of it was worth eating. My family loves Chinese food. Unfortunately, we havent found a place close to Oakland Park, FL that passes the test. I wouldnt rate any of the Chinese restaurants in this area above 3stars.

I have never taken time to write a review, but felt compelled to write one on this location because it was the most horrible dining experience I have ever had. The food was amaturely cooked, lacking even the slightest taste of Oriental authenticity. I placed my order "to-go"- the lunch special Boneless spare ribs. My egg fried rice had large shreds of lettuce in it. I have never known Chinese rice to be made with lettuce. The boneless spare ribs were just dry, thinly sliced pieces of pork. They were not ribs. The overall taste of the food was bland and unusual. The Wonton soup was watered down and tastless. I had hoped that because I waited 20 minutes that the food would be worth it. Instead, I feel extremely disappointed and cheated of my money. I strongly suggest to anyone looking for good Chinese food to stay AWAY from this place.

I dont ever write reviews for places, but this one struck a special cord. Ive been here over 10 times and the food is just amazing. I think I have eaten at every thai place in south florida and China A is definitely in my top 3. The food is consistently good and the menu extensive but at times I have asked the owner (who is also the chef) to surprise me with something new and he never fails to disappoint. The staff is very friendly and the owners make friends with each of their customers. The setting is cozy and each area affords its own energy. Ask for the samurai cut on the sashimi or if im in the mood for thai I just go by the owners suggestion. Try it once you will never stop going back, I come from west broward to eat here!
