Sometime last year after church, my family and I were looking for a family style restaurant that served breakfast in the afternoon. We spotted the Boulevard Family Restaurant on the way home, its located on Little Rd, between Ridge and Massachusetts. By the time we got there, it was almost near their closing time, so I went in first to make sure they would still seat and serve us. Immediately, one of the owners (Husband & Wife team) said, "absolutely, please come in!" Were a family of 5 with 3 children (12, 11 and 6). The interior decor, cleanliness and layout far exceeded any other restaurant that weve been to in the area. You have to see the giant chalkboard that the owners hand wrote and drew on, listing many of their specialties. The menu didnt disappoint and offered an extensive selection of breakfast and lunch favorites. Our waitress was friendly and never made us feel hurried even though it was near closing. After ordering, my son noticed a TV up in the corner and asked me if it was possible to watch the Sprint Cup race that had just started. I told him it wasnt likely but I would ask anyway. Not only did the owner allow it, but he personally came over to our table and handed my son the remote! (maybe it was because it was near closing time, but that was very kind) Anyway, our food arrived quickly, cooked to order and hot off the grille or griddle. My son and oldest daughter had an enormous grilled chicken Cesar salad that is served in an edible shell. My wife, youngest daughter and I had waffles, an omelet and eggs. By the end of our meal it was 15 minutes past closing. Again, not once did we feel rushed. On the contrary, we were made to feel welcome, to relax and enjoy. Good food, amazing service and an atmosphere thats clean and welcoming. Weve been back here many times now and is truly our favorite daytime restaurant.

Nice facility. Clean. Nice light homey ambiance. Price was a little high for a breakfast place, but it is a nice breakfast place, not a diner. Also lots of food. No senior discount. Good vegetarian options for breakfast. Not so much for lunch. No dinner. Courteous staff. Waitress Dawn did a very good job and was pleasant and attentive. Cathy enjoyed her breakfast of cheese omelet, hash browns, and one fluffy pancake. She gives it a 4. My veggie omelet was over cooked the first time, despite clear instructions. Later saw ticket and it was not notated. Second omelet was okay although not flavorful. Hasbrowns and "homemade" biscuits, that were not homemade, were excellent. They do not offer Tabasco hot sauce, a real negative, as the brand they use was a poor substitute, as are most off-brand hot sauces. If you dont use this stuff you wouldnt understand. Coffee was excellent. I give it a 4 this trip because of the omelet and hot sauce, but will try it again. I can see a 5 is possible. Spending the few extra pennies for world class hot sauce would help.

The first time we came here it was great food was hot and the staff was good. Second visit was so so but we figured they were having an off day because of the previous visit. Came today and very disappointed and will more than likely never return. We ordered and waited for our food as it sat in the service window without out are server to be found our food got colder and colder. The server finally appeared and shuffled our plates around brought us our food which 2 of the meals were just garbage. The one plate we waited for showed up with a piece of plastic on the eggs and the other meal was just cold. We asked to see the manager where we showed him the plastic and he said oh it must have come from the fruit salad, news flash we dont care where it came from. He offered to make us what ever we want but the manner in which he presented himself was like he didnt care and was really disinterested in what we were saying he really didnt even give us an opportunity to let us say what we wanted to say.

We often enjoy breakfast at the Boulevard and the menu is full of variety and creativity. Weve been going to this place for breakfast for nearly 20 years, long before it was taken over by new owners, and while we loved the former owner (he knew us by name and always came to greet us personally at our table), the creative flair of the new owners is equally welcoming. A few of the former servers have been kept on by the new owners, and we gather they are trying to take all of the servers to a higher level of customer service, which enriches the customer experience through satisfaction and loyalty. There is one waitress weve known for years, and she is quite good, yet we have always remarked that she never smiles when she greets us or checks back with us. Still as long-time diners, we applaud The Boulevard and their new management!

I used to love coming here because the food was so great. Service was always so so, last time I was there it was the worst. But thats not why I wont go back. I was sitting in a booth in view of the kitchen and pass bar. The server asked the cook for a biscuit, and the cook grabbed a biscuit with no glove on, reached across the pass bar and tried to hand the server a biscuit. Of course the server didnt take the biscuit from him, so the cook looking dumbfounded stood there for a moment with his head in the window reaching across the pass bar with a biscuit in his hand. That was it for me, if this is how my food is being handled in the kitchen, I am never going back. Only reason Im not giving one star is because they have great food. Its just too bad you know, I kinda miss it.

The BEST food that we have had in a long long time, family cooking, family atmosphere, you HAVE to stop and eat and Ill bet you will ALWAYS come back over and over! The portions are HUGE, you will never leave hungry but maybe a to go box! The owners Mary and Sam keep the place VERY clean and clutter free! The restrooms are pretty and SUPER clean also! Mary is very artistic so if you see unique things in there, its probably her doing...and they can both have their own recipes for us to try..we have had so many items on the menu and cant say enough about this place!! Mary and Sam became friends and you just have to come in! Be treated like family!! You will LOVE the TASTE!!

We waited for over 20 minutes for a seat, when we were seated we were placed in a crammed corner table with two kids, mean while there has been tables and booths open since we got there. Our drink order was not taken for about 10 minutes, and when it finally was, our drinks took forever to come out. When our food came out, my husbands eggs were not done (really watery) and my daughter had an EGGSHELL in her scrambled eggs!! The server never got the manager, she put the egg and the shell in a napkin and threw it away. Nothing was done for us. Will never be back there again! Very disappointed.
