Owner and his staff are quite unfriendly. They run the place very unprofessionally. They charge guests who they like cheaper rates and the people they dont like they charge more. Go check out their beer menu and you will know what I am talking about. They have one hidden somewhere. They appear to give up an alternative vibe, but in reality they are just pretending just to get your money. I guess my only suggestion is to suck up to the owners and the workers there and they will give you a better price. Have fun at the Mermaid juice.

With an amazing selection of craft beer, and wine. Mermaid Juice is one of the most delightfully unique experiences you can find in our area. Regularly acclaimed as one of the best bars of its kind in the state. Its easy to understand why. Seeing trolling reviews like the one below are entertaining, but still annoying. I was there the night "young kim" came in, and was asked to leave. Yet after being very rude to another guest, and the staff still had to be told the police would be notified before he left.

Beer prices are way to high. $3.00 charge on top of bill to buy bottled beer to go. Growlers are outrageously expensive, as are t-shirts and antiques. On top of that the guy tried to overcharge our bill with a t-shirt we did not buy. 4 growlers, 3 draught beers and a tank top.........$107. Ridiculous! The staff and building are way to dumpy/dirty to be charging wine prices for beer. Places like this give the beer business a bad name. Hold on to your wallet at this joint.

Hands down, the best craft beer bar in Florida - possibly even the Southeast. Do yourself a favor and make the trip to the beautiful Mount Dora and visit this spot. Literally hundreds of craft beers to choose from and the entire staff can tell you exactly what you want after spending ~30 second with you. Enthusiasts, starters, and the casual beer drinkers will find something they love. Absolutely worth the trip and then some.

Mermaid Juice is hands down one of the best atmospsheres to be found in Florida. Amazing beer selection along with wine and antiques. The staff is incredibly nice and knowledge. You will not be disappointed. Absolute best place to chill with an awesome beer and great people. Dont pass up Mermaid Juice when in Mount Dora!

Mermaid Juice is a fun and serious beer venue. These guys know their beers and will make you feel at home. There is always an event going on. Ive been going here since they opened and it gets better every year. I will moving back north soon, and it will leave a hole in my soul, not being able to have it around anymore.

Great place to enjoy a brew with friends in a laid back non-pretentious atmosphere. Staff is fully knowlagable on enormous selection of beer (they even have a selection of wine if barley isnt your thing) and can match anyones taste preference. Selection is constantly changing so be sure to check back often.
