I honestly wish I could give no stars to this piece of trash establishment. I want everybody to know that NO ONE should ever support this restaurant. It all started Mothers Day 2015 and all I wanted to do was take my mother out for a nice brunch after church. I researched and reviewed many restaurants and decided to go with Corner Bistro Wine Bar based off of many reviews. I made my reservation and we arrived promptly at 1PM. First off, we werent greeted at our table until about 10-15 minutes later (as a server and bartender, it should already be understood that a table should be greeted within 30 seconds to a minute). Upon the greeting, the server already seemed to have an attitude, and when asked questions about their menu (because we had never been there before), his responses were very short and unfriendly. After putting our entree order in, my mother asked if she could have some bread in order to take medication, of which she received the response of, "well we dont give bread." We didnt need anyone to "give" anything, it couldve been paid for. My mother felt uncomfortable enough to then speak to a manager. The manager did change our server which seemed to make things feel a little better, however, the foolishness did not end there. Dont get me wrong, we were informed that our entrees would take about 20-30 minutes because of the holiday (even though there wasnt as much business as they would presume), but when the clock made it to 2:30PM and there was still no food for a simple chicken and waffles and chicken sandwich order, anyone would begin to get restless. The manager never tried to check back after all of the issues so we decided to leave. Im normally not the type of person to complain, however, this experience was ridiculous enough to the point that I wanted to inform the General Manager or try and call a corporate office. I found out that they have no corporate office because they are independently operated. The process of even speaking to a GM took from May 2015-July 2015. Throughout that time, Ive spoken to several different "managers", servers and hostesses that always had an excuse as to why the General Manager wasnt in the restaurant. Sometimes they wouldnt even know when the next time would be that he would be in the restaurant. The only person that tried to help was a gentleman named Jeff, that actually offered to send a voucher for us to return so that we wouldnt have that impression of their business, but funny enough, that voucher never came in the mail. Finally now in July, I get in contact with Mr. Andy, the General Manager of this independently owned establishment for him to tell me he doesnt believe we should get a voucher even though it was already offered from one of his managers and just continued to make excuses for the rest of his team. He thought that it was sufficient enough just to fire the server, but didnt think it was sufficient enough to respond to all of my means of contact. So, as promised, here is my review of Corner Bistro Wine Bar. The independently owned restaurant that will NEVER get further than what it is because of their service. Im surprised that they even have the location that they have. I REPEAT, DO NOT EVEN WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY YOUR TIME.

I went to your restaurant last night with 4 friends and came away with no doubt that I will never return. Why, you ask? Well, lets start with the service - it was sporadic at best - water by request? At your prices? We had to ask for bread after being there quite a while, and it was a mere one slice per person like someone counted. The drinks - at $8 for a thimble full of Jack and Coke whos mixture by the way varied from almost water to pretty strong and the second round two of us ordered never appeared because the waitress wasnt paying attention - we put in or request again when she eventually came by to ask if we wanted anything else. After getting the check I almost wished we hadnt ordered a 2nd round, except my 2nd one at least had some palpable Jack Daniels in it. I ordered a ribeye steak, "Medium plus a little" and another table mate ordered his rare. There was no difference between the two steaks - mine was full of gristle that I had to constantly extract from my mouth and deposit on the plate** and so undercooked I elected to bring most of it home so I could cook it properly the next day. To top it off, that infernal piano man started playing the honky tonk thing as we were finishing our meal and trying to engage in conversation - the acoustics are so poor in your building that while we were not even in a line of sight with the instrument it completely drown out our ability to communicate without yelling at each other. I will NEVER understand why restaurants insist on playing any music at all beyond peaceful background during dining hours - news flash - people go out to eat to socialize and catch up with each other, not to tap their feet to music they may or may not have a taste for. With tip, no soup salad or dessert my tab was $52 … since the place was 2/3 empty that seemed like an optimistic price list for a chewy piece of undercooked meat and the other things Ive mentioned here. Oh - the last straw …. the gristle Id left on my plate was included in my to go bag, but NOT in the box with the steak, rather laying in the bottom of the bag outside of the box like …. what was that about? I dont go out to eat very often - being retired without a pension I squeak by on social security and whittling away at money Id been saving since I was in my twenties. When I drop $50 on a dinner I would anticipate a small soup or salad, a good quality piece of steak (Im a bit of an authority on this topic) cooked TO ORDER. There was no crowd there where a chef might be harried and be unable to keep track of what was being cooked for whom. Poor experience, I would never return, and while I tried to email this to you to save putting it in a public venue, the email came back as undeliverable at the address on YOUR website. This is not being written out of anything but offering you a chance to re-evaluate the procedures, purchasing, attentiveness of the wait staff particularly on a slow night, and that infernal music. I wish you luck in the future.

Just had the possibly the worst restaurant experience ever at Corner Bistro, just now. Took my Mom for her BDay today & my gf, bought a groupon, $40 for 20 & it wasnt even worth that! Mom ordered Mahi, well we all had never seen Mahi that even looked that way, let alone tasted so fishy, then had the 3 day old server in training insult us,by saying "Well, its fresh & just came in today, maybe youre not accustomed to fish so fresh!" wtf?! A$$h@!#,I had a Chicken Parmigiana, that wasnt even breaded, never seen it not breaded,Im Italian, you cant fool me w/this lousy barely seasoned chicken breast, smothered in Marinara & Cheese to hide its mediocrity. Erica (my gf) had a chicken Philly sandwich, that shouldve had a cheese sauce, but wasnt noticeable. It was just chicken, onions & peppers on chibata bread, no big deal, for a upscale restaurant. I about spit out my charred mushy squash, cause it tasted horrible, like it was bad for real. They brought Mom some Shrimp to compensate for the bad fish (fake Mahi, whatever it was) Then had the supposed "Chef" come out & tell us the fish was fine & there was no supervisor & no meal would be comped, sorry He didnt make it, despite being "THE CHEF" the one responsible for the food quality! Then he asked if he could eat the last shrimp on her plate to try for himself,as if he never tastes the food they make & had the nerve to say, "Well I must have gotten the only one that wasnt salty" Ahemmm, wtf!? Corner Bistro you suck, from top to bottom, Horrible Food/Service all around,NEVER AGAIN! Outraged! Upscale is gonna go belly up,down & out at that rate.
