They didnt have a time for the kitchen. When i tried to order food the barista said the kitchen was closed. When I asked why they didnt have a time for the kitchen closing outside (like they had for happy hour) she got snappy and rudely responded to me saying 9 o clock pm. I inquired how I was supposed to know due to her condescending tone and she blew me off. I went outside to be sure I didnt over look a time on the sign (there was a time for happy( 3- 7)hour but no time for the kitchen. Since I wanted to not speak to the rude barista I told the guy (Bouncer ) outside about her attitude. His reply was to speak to her (which I did and was responded to rudely) he refused to help. I dropped it, went to the bar continued to have my beer and soon after the barista rudely asked me why I didnt confront her about the incident(which I did earlier but cut it off because of her attitude). The bouncer and barista didnt like my position of the false advertising the sign had outside. (They didnt want to admit the customer was right). Out of anger they out a plastic cup in front of me and told me to leave (which is illegal to make a person walk out of a bar to a public area). I told them it was illegal for them to offer that but if they want me to leave Ill leave but I said I will call the police since the bouncer was being aggressive. While I answered the call the bouncer grabbed me from behind and aggressively escorted me out. I remsined remained in the phone during the whole assault and waited until police arrived. The Miami Beach police were unhelpful (not violent) but sympathetic to the bouncer (Even though I was the one that called). The police blew it off and I over heard a officer "hey. Is this idiot (me) giving you a problem which tells me theyre "pals". Over all, the only solution is to never go back and inform others to steer clear of a lame ass, basic, boring bar that has nothing special or unique to offer. Just a plain ol waste of time, money and life in general.

Want get hustled and get bad service? Guess this is the place then. The waitress were really slow. For example we ordered yuengluengs, and after 15-20 minutes she came back and told us they didnt have any left. We went there because of happy hour, 2 for 1. The beer cost 9 bucks each. When we got the check it turned out they still charge gratuity or service charge for the free beer, so in reality the precalculated tip was 36%. I told her we didnt want to pay that, and that we dont have to, but she insisted she had the law at her side. I knew she was wrong but my company didnt want to hassle with talking to the manager, so we payed anyway... I would recommend you to stay clear of this place. With happy hour we still payed around 8 dollars a beer there.

Initially a 5 star rating, spent last night here and had a great time! Waitress Violetta was so kind and helpful! Food is really good. However, tonight... When I mentioned there was no toilet paper in the womens toilet... The woman behind the bar was really rude and claimed it was because there was construction...?? I said that wasnt a good enough excuse really and that I kind of expect to see some toilet paper in a toilet after 24 hours (it ran out the night before and wasnt replaced). She then came back and hunted me down to tell me that i was a liar and all the toilets had toilet paper. I do love to lie about there not being any toilet paper!! ;)

Food was dry a d very salty. Beers overpriced... But then again it is Miami. The inside was incredible dark, definitely a "Im a loner that sits at the bar" type place then a "take your friends or date there" place. The worst part is the gratuities are are already included in the bill.... At 18%...and then they bring you a bill where you write the tip..... Uh what? Basically a rip off. Luckily the customer service was decent so the 18% didnt sting but thats an excellent way to repel repeat customers.

This is a real Irish pub. They do not serve frozen drinks, too Miami - cliche for their tastes I imagine, drinks they do serve are good. There is a food menu for small plates to eat while imbibing your favorite hard liquor drinks. There was a DJ spinning nice tunes while we watched the ESPN sports on all the TVs. I hear this is a great sports bar, tho no big sports to watch while we were in town this time.

Dropped in The Playwright on St. Paddys Day! Still early evening and my friend and I beers a couple cold beers and split a Reuben Sandwich and made friends with the people next to us. That was great but they really need to make sure the band does a sound check so it sounds better and crowd can enjoy it. Dont worry well be back. :)

They had all the premier league games that was on for that day. We got our own TV to watch the game. The bartender served us well and recommended to buy a pitcher for two persons instead of a beet each; which saved us a couple of bucks. The bar has Wifi and you can play pool in there if you need to kill an hour or two.

DO NOT VISIT THIS PUB!! I had my cash and bank card stolen from my purse by the MANAGER of the bar!! It happened right in front of me- the police were called and told me it had happened to another girl an hour earlier. STEER WELL CLEAR of this place if you want to keep your belongings!!

Visited south beach miami may of this year.2016...got into the playwright most days or evenings with my mate Lea. .staff were great food good and big servings. .good crowd. .good music and a pool table and with a bar that doesnt close till 5am what more could you want.. we loved it...

Great service and ambiance! The menu has lots of variety to choose from. We had the crab cake sandwich and the turkey club. Both were great!! The brownie sundae was really good too! Everything was reasonably priced and our server very personable!! Will definitely be back!!

I walked into this pub because I was hungry wanted a beer and a place to charge my phone. The staff suggested the playwright burger .. and a Smithwicks ale... This was to date the best burger and ale combination ive ever had. The service was perfect!! Best accident Ive had yet

Great Pub. Nice people working there and great food! I had the Turkey Club and I have to say it was phenomenal! Lots of fresh meat and ingredients at a very reasonable price especially for $outh Beach. If your out that way give it a try Im glad I did.

the truly looking as Irish pub, But I never hear so terrible music in my life, I just run away. good looking, great service, and bad dj! I looked for Irish music, rock of 80. and you get macarena or something spanish. But pub it self is great.
