This Publix has to have one of the best art deco style entrances. I personally love the outdoor look however on the inside lighting is a little dim and they do provide the majority of services you would expect from a regular Publix the Western Union, Lotto, coin machine, Rug Doctor, flower shop, etc. I do think the layout is a little bit odd compared to other Publixs is why which is why I rated it one star lower. The bread is next to the cheese aisle and the medicines are on the second aisle which is very different from other typical Publix layouts. Medicine aisle is a little limited and things seem to be more crunched together. Theres a lot more volume at this store since it is on Alton Road dont come here expecting the regular Publix cashier friendly customer service as many of the cashiers seemed drained of energy due to the non-stop nature.

Publix discriminates against LGBT in employment opportunities. Having said that it is the only grocery chain in the area (I am equi-distant from three locations). The only alternative is Whole Foods which is considerably more expensive. Publix does have a large selection. Meat is mediocre a (Whole Foods is not much better). Very good vegetable selection. Nice Kosher section as well. The frozen fish is actually very good. It might actually be fresher than the fresh fish - depending upon turnover. Ultimately, I am part of their captive audience.

Dont buy seafood from this store!!!!!! Bought king crab legs twice now, the smell of chemicals burns your nose...brought them back to the store this time because i wasnt losing my money again...management could care less ( daniel) pretty much a uselss person overall....but trust me stay away from,their crab legs unless you want to get sick...

This is an older smaller neighborhood Publix sometimes its easier to go here then to the one on West Avenue. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable sometimes they can be lines during their peak time.
