#MiamiSpice2017 Review 3.5 Stars The lofty and elegant interiors set the stage for grand expectations at this SOFI location on Miami Beach. The vibe unmistakenly classified as SOBE chic. Milos claims to serve the finest Mediterranean seafood. That might be the case, but I felt underwhelmed during my visit. What I tried: CHARCOAL GRILLED OCTOPUS sushi quality mediterranean octopus, grilled Holland peppers and wild mushrooms. SALMON TARTARE micro-basil, serrano chili, shallot, cilantro COLORADO (or maybe AUSTRALIAN) FRESH LAMB CHOPS charbroiled and served with steamed vegetables and fries. DORADO ROYALE mediterranean sea bream grilled and served with steamed vegetables. BAKLAVA layered phyllo with almonds Loukoumades (Not on the Miami Spice menu, but very good) Fried traditional Greek beignets, served with thyme honey From the Island of Kythira, walnuts and cinnamon “THE REAL GREEK YOGURT” spoon sweets HIT: Listed as Colorado Lamb Chops, but presented as Australian (which is it?). These weren’t the meatiest, but delivered big on flavor. I ate every last bit. The Real Greek Yogurt could have used a significant amount of honey on the side for my taste, but I enjoyed it regardless. A true delight. The Baklava was equally well done. MISS: - The Dorado Royale. Not necessarily bad, but just too simple and underseasoned for my taste. - The waiter, while very nice, must have insisted at least four times that “even” if our party went with the Miami Spice menu, “…it was a good idea to get an a la carte appetizer for the table. ” We got it the first time, thanks. No need to keep repeating it. He even mentioned it as they served the entrees. No, just no. - No corkage fee as an option. Outside bottles not allowed. I paid $140 for a $38 OK bottle of wine. Ouch. As an avid diner, I often use Miami Spice to visit restaurants that have been on my list for a long time and I’ve somehow overlooked. The way I see it, if they can hook me during Spice, I’ll return often throughout the year (as was the case with Los Fuegos and Byblos last year). Although I liked several of the items I tried, I don’t foresee this happening with Milos. PASS. That said, perhaps Milo is for you. Know that the menu offers a nice variety and the portions do not disappoint. If all else fails, maybe they can interest you in an additional appetizer outside of the Spice menu? #justsaying

That was not the first time I was dinning at Milos. Terrific hoster, outstanding bar tender, out of box waiters and sommelier. With regards the food, just an Excellent Experience as usual. The only thing to be concerned about is with the Valet Parking guys service. Special one named Samuel. Why? I stopped by with my new Masseratti, before restaurant was opened. The Holster acting with amazing kindness offering to my wife and I to be in the Bar until the restaurant was open. In turn the Valet attendant was upset because we arrived earlier than the restaurant time!!!! So, something amazing that a person could almost blue the outstanding experience of a such high end restaurant. My recommendation for others going to there: take a cab or parking by your self. Your car will be in the street anyway. Maybe it will be safer that to left it with them, My car experience was unfortunate in many senses. But that is not the issue. The issue is the attitude! Without that somebody could not be in a position to serve others. Fortunately, the restaurant continue being one the best in town. And I will come back there, naturally, without my car, Antonio.

The experience begins when they demand ten bucks to park the car. (The legendary Joes Stone Crab, nearby, charges six dollars, and also has free parking). The waiters are incompetent. They first try to sell you bottled water, then if allowed explain to you what fish is, or meat is, like youre idiot. Meanwhile requests for such things as (1) mustard, (2) salt and pepper, (3) ice water go unnoticed and unfulfilled. It takes a quarter-hour to brings some more bread. The octopus ($10 extra charge) are soggy. The two little lamb chops ($10 extra charge) are greasy. The fruit plate (offered as dessert) looks like one of those plastic containers of fruits you find at super-markets. The fish (no extra charge) was filled with little tiny bones. The salmon appetizer came on half -- half! -- a bagel. This is a restaurant dedicated to charging as much as possible for as little as possible. Only an idiot would eat here a second time. Hint: When you see a restaurant whose title contains "by" followed by some chefs name, stay away!

My husband and l were looking forward to a Greek meal, spinach pie, pita bread and baklava. No such luck, we were shown to a table for two which was so small the napkins and silver filled the table. When we asked for something a little roomier we were ushered to the side of the room between an exit and a food counter. Their menu is limited and one must go to a fish display to pick out your entree for the evening. No preparations were offered it was simply grilled. It was suggested that we order their signature appetizer which we did and we had a Greek salad with the $170 fish. Dessert which l wished we had skipped was a terribly dry and tasteless baklava, although they told us everyone loved it they did remove the cost of it from our bill. The best and most positive aspect of the restaurant was the staff. This is a place to be seen if you dont need to be seen skip it.

When to this restaurant las night, having visited Greece several times Im astonished they called this Greek food. Portions are small and very salty. We arrived at the restaurant and where promptly seated. Then it when down hill from there our service was very apologetic through out the whole ordeal but there just is no excuse for our dinner to have taken one hour and half to arrive at our table. Thank god for their bread even if our waitress said they had no butter in the restaurant. They tried to make it up to us by putting two desserts on the table for free. I will definitely not go back for the same price I can go any where in Miami (approximately $70 per person).

I recently took my mother and daughter for lunch. We went to take advantage of "Miami Spice". Of course the best dishes are an additional cost but well worth it. The menu offers a variety of options. The wine list is quite extensive. We had a delicious bottle of Greek Wine, Malagousia. The service was great and the food was spot on! We had the grilled octopus, a cheese plate, grilled sea bream, and the lamb chops. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection! The greek yogurt at the end was the best weve ever had. If you love Greek food, this is the place to go. We will be back and highly recommend it.
