Finally a restaurant themed around my two favorite entrees, The Burger and Beer Joint was sure to be a hit with the FatCats crew. After spending a long day in sunny Miami Beach we had collectively developed a level of hunger that only Jabba the Hutt could fathom so we decided that this place was a must. This place is pretty cool... im really digging the old school biker look they have inside here (we decided to eat outside because the weather was nice) the place actually looks like its run by a bunch of tattoo covered, californian west coast motorcycle builders. I would of taken some pictures of them but i was too afraid of getting beaten with a rusty wrench. Check out how cool their menu looks. To our amazement they had quite a diversified menu, with specialty items such as Pork Belly strips dipped in maple syrup, fried pickle chips, fried mushroom strips and one of the best tasting mac and cheese plates Ive had in a long time. Amazing Mac Daddy Cheese Gratin The Pudge really likes his fried pickles There was definitely some good grub on the table. He cant wait to dig in! Now on to the Pièce de résistance and single handedly the sexiest item on the table.. A custom FatCats made burger officially dubbed The Fatty McGee. Notice my IPhone placed next to it for size comparison. This bad beluga is 1lb of Kobe Beef on ciabatta bread topped with horseradish cheddar and jalapeno jack cheeses, roasted garlic bud, slathered in spicy garlic mayo (which I highly recommend), sliced dill pickles and guacamole, with prosciutto, hickory smoked bacon and truffle demi in between. I paired her off with an order of Duck Fat Fries which made this meal GLOOOOOOOOOOOORIUS! That was one monstrous burger, heres an animation of me struggling to finish The Fatty McGee (but you best be damned sure that I did because that sucker was amazing!) Executive chef Carlos Barillas deserves a Pulitzer Prize or at least a foot rub for coming up with such an amazing menu with several unique creations as pictured below. Picture borrowed from The Burger and Beer Joint website Even in the late afternoon on a Sunday they were pretty much at full capacity. That did not affect the service as our waiter was very prompt and friendly with plenty of menu suggestions for first timers (I love that!) We also found out from our waiter that The Burger and Beer Joint is home of the MotherBurger a 10lb burger "the size of a manhole cover." Unfortunately our group was comprised mostly of females who were intimidated by the idea of eating 10 pounds of beef. So were going to have to come back to do a write up of that monster. The Pudge is looking so forward to our return that its just plain CREEPY. Overall we really enjoyed our experience and unanimously recommend that you go make a visit to The Burger and Beer Joint which in turn gets the FatCatsFunTimes Happy Belly Seal of Approval! CHEERS!

40 bucks for a burger?! Youve got to be joking. No sir, not when the burger is made from Kobe beef, dressed in black truffle demi, and toped with foie gras. Yes I had that burger. To be honest it was not the best burger Ive had at beer and burger. In fact it was the worst. I have however had several burgers that were out of this world, and so that makes up for it. Beer and Burger (B&B) is new newest addition to Mary Brickell village and a welcome addition at that. You go here looking for awesome burgers, and craft beers. If thats what your looking for then you wont be disappointed. The burgers are large, and the beer is cold. You might have to fight your way in or wait a while for a seat but that should get better after its not so new. There are several already made burgers that the chef has placed on the menu and then you can always go it alone. I would avoid the onion rings and hot wings. They arent bad but they arent anything to write home about. The chili fries are quite good however and I would recommend you get them if you can. As I said before the burgers are all large and quite unique. They all have creative names that reflect the burgers make up; like Hotel California (avocado and fried egg), sympathy for the devil (spicy buffalo sauce), Thunder Road (BBQ burger), and Dear Prudence (veggie burger). Its a great place to go to get a good burger. Dont think your getting out of here cheap however, beers are about $6 each, and burgers are about $15. Its worth the cash but you might want to do some pre gaming beforehand. Ill give B&B 4 stars because its a great choice for me when Ive got the burger craving. I would like to see them play with even MORE exotic burgers as I think they done a great job with the ones they have. Keep up the good work guys and Ill keep coming.

This was a terrible experience. We went to watch the football games in Sunday around 3p. We ordered drinks and watched while the table that sat after us got drinks first. When we inquired with the other server she told us that our drinks were being made at the inside bar, which we could understand. However, we ordered our food and not only did a table that sat down after us get their bill before we got our food; but the table that sat right next to us, (we heard them order) got their food before us as well. At this point, we had been sitting there for about 45 minutes, so we asked our server what happened and she claimed that our food was taking longer because of what we ordered. (The truth was that she never put in our food order, we watched her go to the kitchen and then put the order in on the computer). When we asked to speak to a manager (twice) we were also told to wait. I got up from the table to speak to the manager and the manager who saw me standing their also told me to wait. Then when manager realized I was upset, she got defensive and told me to leave the establishment. I have been to this restaurant many times and never been treated this poorly.

Definitely recommend this place. Took 47 of my colleagues here for our incentive trip back at the end of February for a dinner. My CFO said that the burger he got was the BEST burger hes ever had, and Im always worried about him and the President most when making dinner reservations. Chris, the manager was AWESOME in helping us with the group menu, giving us more options and being timely with all of his responses. Giant onion rings, delicious duck fat fries, shoestring fries, and phenomenal burgers! I had the Paradise City, which is shrimp on a burger--- super good! I was sooo full I couldnt even finish half of it. Everybodys favorite were the Mother Fudgers--- ginormous, I kid you not, bowls of ice cream, deep fried oreos and deep fried goodness with brownies and whipped cream where everybody just crowded over a bowl and dug in. Everybodys eyes lit up when they saw the bowls come out and their inner child came out. Service was super fast--- in and out within 2 hours for such a large group, super accommodating and patient servers. Definitely recommend this place! Who doesnt love a gourmet burger?
