This was the place we have been going to for years for celebrations in our family and with friends. It was always top notch service and food. Do not look at this review as if Im a complainer but look at it objectively. The last time we were there was about 3 months ago. The food was still good but for some reason it seemed like maybe portions and pieces were a little smaller. I am not allergic to anything I know of but for 3 days my entire body felt on fire and itchy like I dove into a swarm of jellyfish. Benadryl was my only rescue so something in the food was bad. I took my husband out tonight and we went there for dinner. We ordered a tuna pokey for an appetizer - raw tuna, pineapple, avocado and a sauce of sorts to put it together all for $13. The pineapple was canned and was 40% of the dish, the avocado was another 40% and then 20% was tuna. Canned pineapple??? I told the waitress to tell the chef we were disappointed, she went away and heard nothing back. I asked for the manager and he showed up in t-shirt and shorts. I told him that the item was very disappointing and he said they used canned pineapple to maintain consistency and it has been on the menu for over 6 months and no one has complained. I told him that I am complaining and it is shocking and disappointing you are defending the dish and think that if no one complains all is well. He left and we got our meal. The sashimi pieces were about half what they used to be, the food was bland and the salmon and tuna tasted flat like the mild white fish they serve. Very bland. All the while the waitress kept asking if we wanted more wine when our glasses were plainly full. After all these years of patronage, we will no longer go there. And the dish was still on the bill. Weve gone here before and had similarly bad experiences, but last nights was tops. Valentines Day or not, we had called ahead and made reservations for seating. It was almost not honored until we pointed out that others had done the same and were being seated quickly, but it still took us over an hour to get a table (which was not what we requested). We were not attended to for at least another thirty minutes, and then the waiter finally came from around the corner from where he had been talking to another employee the entire time to take our drinks. We were ready to order but he left without even asking if we were finished talking. Fast forward another hour after that, and the party of 2 across from us had been sat, fed, and finished with the same waiter before he had even come back to take our meal order. Two of our cocktails were completely mixed up, and we did not even receive an apology for not taking into account our allergies which had been expressed specifically before ordering. Another 45 min later and our food finally came out. COLD. When we asked for a manager, we were given a hostess who claimed to be a manager but who had no authority whatsoever. She argued with me about the food being cold and insulted us, then did not discount anything until she realized we were going to keep talking to her. It was not even a true discount. Less than 10%. Basically, if you want your time valued, or if you have allergies to any sort of fish, fruits, or otherwise, dont go here.

During my visit a your restaurant on 10-31-2010 great atmosphere,The only item we really enjoy was the fried rice. The food was over price, we order odders coconut shrimp were over cook not golden brown, we order Octupus it was very dried freezer burnt or over cook. We order Lobster and shimp from the grill also over cook. The cook boil,grilled and sautee my lobster for over ten minutes.seafood should be cook when not frozen no more than 5 minutes depending on portion.I ask for fresh garlic from clove they gave me the one that comes from a jar no taste to garlic what so ever.The DIVE HOSTESS you had was very annoying came to table every 2 seconds is everying ok.We were the only customer to your gril area.I order Pina colada Waiter did not know of Don Q rum., captain morgan is not the rum you would use for this drink.Once Place were remove it was rush time to get out of restaurant.Your employees started to break down & clean grills.It could being Better to tell us from waiter or hostess WE are ready to break this section down for the night would you please sit at the bar or outside table for drinks.But no employees were very loud & grill cleaner came to our table to clean grill in front of us with his lemon juice,scrubber ,white towel. WHAT AN EXPERIENCE.I did not complaint due to I wanted to have a simple evening with my wife. I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Thank You CHEF DIAZ

The restaurant has really let its self go in the past few years. They have run out almost every respectable bartender and server that use to work there for false accusations and lack of professionalism from management and the owners. Since then I have stopped frequenting due to many issues. One being the new staff they are younger and much less experienced. The food has become sub par to say the least. And also the changes on the bar i.e. the change in liquors and what not have resulted in a totally different atmosphere. And there is no one to blame but the people running the restaurant. Like I said earlier I use to frequent this place often with friends and my boyfriend. And now I will find any other sushi restaurant in the lake mary area before I step foot into this black hole again! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!!!! Try bayridge or samurai great sushi, great atmosphere, and great prices!! Cant beat that!!!

I have eaten here four times now; twice in the last week. I usually frequent about once a year with friends or colleagues. I always order sushi off the sushi menu and have never eaten at the Hibachi grill or ordered an entree from the menu. The sushi and service were so good upon a recent visit with colleagues that I returned less than two days later and once again the service and food were just as outstanding. This is probably some of the best sushi I have ever eaten, it is always fresh, and served quickly, with excellent presentation. The prices are fair for the quality of food and portions that you get, it is not cheap, but what sushi place ever is? I noticed it can get a little loud in the dining room on a busy Friday night. This location is located in an extremely nice area with other restaurants, a few bars, and a movie theater near buy.

we order food here for lunch a couple times a month, and lately they have been so anti-customer service oriented. They cant substitute chicken for vegitables, they cant substitute shrimp for chicken...they are completely obnoxious over the phone. The food is good, but way over priced, and they pretty much lie to you over the phone. One day their reason is one thing, the next they have another excuse as to why they cant fill your order. If you dont care about being treated well, enjoy your meal! but you better like what the menu offers, cause you are clearly not allowed to stray! UPDATE: After messing up our lunch last week, offering to comp our lunch this week, they complained to the person who picked it up that they shouldnt be giving us our food for free, even though it was their fault the first time. UNEBLIEVEABLE!
