It took a lot out of me not to give 2 stars just because of how bad this particular location is in comparison to other People Wei locations. This is the worst Pei Wei Ive been too. My wife and I have eaten here on 3 different occasions and weve noticed a few trends: 1) This location is ALWAYS out of something. Whether it is their sushi, soda fountain flavors, or basic condiments; theyre always out of supplies during any hour. Today, they were out of coke, diet coke, coke zero, dr. Pepper, Sprite, Sprite Zero, vanilla syrup and cherry syrup. When I asked an employee about it, she told me that they were waiting on the coke supplier to refill the machines and apologized. Shortly after, I saw the same employee loading the machines with coke syrups. I went up to the machine to see if she did, in fact, refill the machine. She reloaded all the coke flavors. A blatant lie to my face. Not at all pleased. 2) The portions are not consistent. Imagine you and your wife order the same meal but you pay $2 more for extra chicken. Both of your plates arrive and you have the exact same portion sizes. Then you come back and order extra chicken again, hoping youll see a little more. Nope! Still a small portion and much smaller than the portions youve had at 2 other Pei Wei locations. That has been my experience here. Small and inconsistent. 3) The staff doesnt pay attention. 2 out of the 3 times weve come here, weve had to call someone over to take our order because no one was near the counter to take our order. Our order was taken incorrectly once and, if you order something like condiments while at your table, just forget about it. Youre not going to get it. One experience, the waitress just never came back after ordering Sriracha sauce. Our third time, we asked for Sriracha sauce and she brought us spicy mayo. Both times, I went to the kitchen counter and got what I needed. Overall, the food is as good as the price, but the portions, service, and overall experience is terrible. Still, the facility is clean and the food is good, so I will reluctantly give 3 stars. I do not recommend this location. Pei Wei is better than this.

I have been to this location twice and both times my experience was horrible. I went at lunch time and this location (along with the whole mall) is a very busy. Both times I went they only had one cashier helping customers and the line was very long. Most of the tables were dirty and needed to be cleaned, but the employees couldn’t keep up. Not only that but the same employee cleaning tables also has to bring the food to customers, so neither of those things were happening very fast. I sent a complaint to their customer service about the situation and they were generous enough to send me gift cards for my next visit. I went again at lunch time a month and a half later and unfortunately the experience was even worse the second time. Again, only one register helping customers and there was a long line of people also waiting for take out and pick up orders. Everyone was frustrated and people waiting were just leaving their food unpaid for because they had to wait so long. It was obvious there was no organization and both times there was no management in sight anywhere. I ended up leaving the business because the one cashier kept leaving and not saying anything and left everyone just standing there. At this point I dont even want to use the gift cards they gave me. They basically paid me to eat there and I couldn’t even make it to the cash register without giving up. Hopefully they change their service around, but at this point I can’t imagine ever going back.

Pei Wei is a hidden luxury I find myself coming back to every now and again. Began as a corporate meeting, turned to my bi-weekly southside asian cuisine fix. I love this place, customizing orders from heavy dining all the way to light eating with its Gluten Free menu, all the way down to the chill dim-lit ambiance, It just compliments the food so perfectly. I find myself going traditional everytime with the Thai Dynamite shrimp with fried rice, hence the title its like an explosion of flavor in every bite, you just cant get enough until its gone! While rather pricey you definitely get your moneys worth in quality. Ive personally heard alot of good things about Caramel under Bright Flavors, so look forward to my tip when i try it later this week. Typical General Tso chicken and Chicken Teriyaki gets boring after a while so if youre looking for something different with a ton of diverse flavors to choose from, i HIGHLY recommend giving Pei Wei a try! 10/5 if i could!

I had a sesame chicken rice plate and my partner had a veggie and tofu rice place. Our meal was ready in minutes and tasted delicious. Additionally both dishes looked stunning. The colors on the plate and the seasame seeds sprinkled on the top looked like something out of an episode of master chef. The ratio of breading to chicken was perfect. The breading was flavorful and crispy. The tofu was sliced longways almost like thick fries. They were crispy all the way through. Overall some of the best tofu Ive eaten. As for price, if I had to choose where to go for 9 bucks Id pick here every time. I spend the same amount at panda express for the same meal served in a similar amount of time. Edit: I went back and had the same meal but this time my sesame chicken was an oily mess. Im not sure which visit was the fluke so Ill edit this again after a couple more visits.

Pei Wei is easily is a top 5 restaurant for me. The Jacksonville location is not a real Pei Wei. Its like youre eating completely different food. Ive been to probably 8-10 different Pei Weis (Charlotte, Orlando, Denver, Stuart, etc.) I created a Yelp account just to review this Pei Wei. The food is wildly inconsistent. Its so frustrating. Not sure where to begin. Whats the point? Corporate isnt going to fix it. People of Jax: if youre ever out of the city- please try a different Pei Wei. The dishes are incredible if the menu is consistently executed. Dont let the Jax location ruin the experience.

I have been here many times with few problems. However my last visit made me not want to ever go back. The Honey chicken we ordered was served to us raw. So I said eh its okay Ill give them a break and asked for another. It came back raw again.... So I talked to one of the employees and they told me "Sorry its not our fault, corporate pushes us to churn out food as fast as we can, they want us to be like Mcdonalds." I had gotten food poisoning from this place a few years ago but I overcame the fear of eating here after a while. However I will not ever be going back here sadly.

3/5 stars. The food was good, the service was kind, and my husband and I were pleased with the gluten free menu. We went on our anniversary for lunch and tried the gluten free. First experience, and I wont ever go back. Our gluten free food was not gluten free and both my husband and I got sick. It put a damper on the entire occasion. If you dont have food allergies the place is ok, just a spot to grab lunch where youll have some leftovers... but if youre gluten sensitive, allergic, or celiac then dont bother... Save yourself the trouble and stay away.
