The staff was very accommodating, even though we had a decent sized party. We sat outside, and they even turned on the heaters for those in our party that were chilly and didnt bring jackets. Personally, I didnt want the heaters on, but it wasnt unbearable (this is FL =P) They were pretty quick to get the tables cleaned up outside, arranged and then get us situated and take our orders. Everyone was friendly and tolerant of our sense of humor, even though it can be a bit much at times. My only major complaint... is that the appetizers came out AFTER our entrees. In retrospect, the food was very filling and we may not have needed them anyway, but they were VERY good apps, and I would have liked to enjoy them more while waiting on the entrees. We ended up taking some food home anyway, so we probably wouldve destroyed the apps and then taken more good food home for lunch the next day. Now, for some minor complaints: The Specials board is a bit jumbled and could use some clarity. I like that it looks like an old specials board from a small diner, but its MASSIVE in size and cluttered with so much stuff... that not much seems really "special." The Chicken Francaise was a special the night we were there. They said it was something they were "trying out." Well, here is my feedback, which I wish I had time to leave that night: Having had that style (the best, imo) of Francaise, served over pasta, I can say that everything about the dish was exceptional, with two caveats. It should be served with 1-2 lemon wedges so a diner can dial up the lemon flavor to their liking (or it should be more lemony), and there should be a "blackened" option for the chicken as well as battered/fried. I worked over a year in an Italian kitchen that did this dish to perfection, and they were the only one in town to do so. Everywhere else has just disappointed, but you guys are SOOOO close to being the new go-to. I will be back, and hope my next visit with some friends will solidify a positive opinion about the place. Hope my feedback was helpful and not too negative. Thanks!

A total of 5 of us went. Was the second time going. Was NOT disappointed. I had the pound cake french toast with 4 eggs. Eggs cooked exactly how I asked. The French toast was phenomenal. One of my friends had the shimp grits which looked incredible, and I dont even care for shimp. Another friend had the crab cakes Benedict, which was mouth watering. My other friend had biscuits and gravy, I dont eat pork, but almost did for just a little taste it was a huge plate of them. The sweet ice tea was excellent. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. Our food came out fairly quick. Although it was a lil after brunch, and right before lunch time. The manager also came over and asked if we were doing alright, which I like that because shows they care. Good family type of atmosphere. The price of the food was well worth. Wasnt to expensive, for the pound cake french toast, sweet tea and 4 eggs it was under $20. Next time Im in town, Im going back.

Ughhhh, I wanted to like this place sooo badly, but after 3 tries they have struck out! Attempt #1: Made a to go order on opening day, when I got back to work the order was partially wrong. I understood being it was day 1, no big deal. Attempt #2: I dined in. Food & service were just ok. Attempt #3: Another to go order…Waited 30 minutes for 2 egg sandwiches and home fries. Had I had this kind of time I’d have sat at a table. Got the food finally & went back to the office…1 egg sandwich was dry as dirt, sloppily put together (egg hanging off the bread, bacon only on one side) and placed upside down in the bag so all the bacon grease came out of the ventilation holes and was now all over everything = AWESOME!!! Sandwich #2 had an egg that was soooo underdone it was not suitable for consumption and was tossed. Lastly, the home fries were HUGE unseasoned potato chunks. What an absolute waste of time & money!

Was excited to try the new metro diner.... In Longwood, Fl Had for the first time -ever-chicken and waffles - asked the waitress for a recommendation, that was her recommendation. I read the description and it sounded good.....It said it came with a special sauce..... That never came and I waited 20 minutes before I could even ask someone for whatever the special sauce was. Not impressed with service or food Honestly the waffle was good but the chicken was very tasteless/ flavorless. No seasonings no spices. ?? Yet it boasts that it does. Will not order chicken waffles ever again– at least from here. Not sure if we will go back...looking at trying a new spot on google today ...they say you only get 1 time to make a 1st impression.....restaurants come and go- look how quickly its previous tenant left ( Carmels) didnt last a year--- Prices were ok-with drink/tip-$15.-20.pp

I absolutely love this place. Ive gone to the one in Jacksonville several times and I cant bring myself to try anything other than the Chicken and Waffles...and each time I go I tell myself Im not going to eat the whole thing only to have an empty plate by the end of my meal. The staff at this location in Apopka was prompt and very nice. The food came out quickly even during lunch rush and we were a table of four. The portions are generous and the food is delicious as well as filling. You wont leave hungry so come with an appetite. Again, ge t the chicken and waffles! If theres one complaint its that it does get packed sometimes so you may have to wait a bit to eat, so call ahead to see if they are busy or what the wait time might be in case you arent in the mood to wait for your table.

went on opening day and a madhouse of customers and waitstaff running around --crowded noisey. wife had barb q burger which was outstanding; i had patrami --big sandwich but they smoke the meat which i did not like (not ny style) they gave me another at my request no problem--beef au jus--ok nothing to rave about. had lunch today --wife had american burger and nothing to rave about; i had lunch special mahi mahi blackened---again just ok. not much blackening and lunch portion (if you know what i mean) black beans and rice--below average lots of vinegar---big portion of this right now not overimpressed . lots of waitstaff running around again --they are busy and very noisey place in general. 1 more try for breakfast hope its better than "okay"

Have eaten here a few times since they opened, dining in and take-out. So disappointed, I really wanted to like this place but the food, breakfast specifically, was just not that great. The eggs have no flavor whatsoever and if I ever got the urge to eat my 5 year olds potted school paste I imagine it would be just like eating the grits from Metro Diner. My fiance got the Monte Cristo and that was pretty good, just wish I could say the same for the breakfast pie I ordered. Also, each of the 3 times I have eaten here, both dine-in and take-out, something about the order was wrong. -- Ask for no green peppers, got green peppers, add bacon, no bacon added, etc.
