AMAZING ICE CREAM!!! Yes, the lines can get long. Yes, they only accept cash. AND YES, there is an older gentleman who keeps things moving smoothly and orderly IF need be. BUT, the line moves quickly and the frozen treat is WELL worth the wait!!! Its a neighborhood est so you will probably know someone in line with you to chitchat with while youre waiting. The prices are good, so who doesnt have a twenty dollar bill floating around their wallet or car? And the older gentleman keeps things cleaned up... no saggy pants or underwear showing. No loitering for non customers. No blaring car speakers in the parking lot. Its a small location with limited parking and seating, hes just keeping his establishment running smoothly and making sure its comfortable for his patrons. Some think he may be rude, but I cannot blame him one bit. They also offer discounted treats for kids with good grades (bring their report card), and have punch cards!! If you havent been here I surely recommend you try it out!! You will not be disappointed!!

I have been going to Dreamette every since I was six and now Im 36. Never had a bad experience, until today. I noticed new faces. So, maybe new management. The young lady was rude, she never greeted me and my family like she did the rest of the others that was there. Secondly, I noticed a girl using a dirty dish rag to wipe off the side of my ice cream bowl. I told them that wasnt sanitary, so I wanted for them to redo it over. Due to the fact I dont want a dirty dish rag germs around my bowl. Well , that was a problem for the old man that was there. So, he gave me a refund instead. To be honest I think he has a problem with certain people. Especially, after reading the sign posted up front. That was a little suspicious to me, being that no one can enter the shop, you only come to an outside window. Not that I promote saggy pants. But, I thought that was strange....Well they won, because I dont do filth.

Been coming here since I was a child. I live in walking distance so my daughter and i come frequently. I want her to have the same great childhood memory. Well I went to sit at a bench to take some Tylenol after walking my body was not good. Before I could sit the owner glares at me. Are you a paying customer?? The bench is for only paying customers!! I was hurt. I mean I come everyday just about and had so many memories here. I said to him I know you know me. And I know you know I come almost everyday with my daughter. And whos to say I wasnt buying anything?? I just needed a moment. It forever changed how I feel about this place. It hurts that he could alter my childhood and my daughters like this. Ill never come back again. Unbelievable. But we all know this man is not the reason the place is what it is. But it doesnt change how I feel. Ill never see it the same again.

This place is great for ice cream, floats, and slushy breaks! I, sadly, am lactose intolerant so I couldnt enjoy the actual ice cream. HOWEVER, they had the next best option, a slushy. With a wide variety of flavors, you will be coming back to try them all, also at a great low price. With regards to the ice cream selection, it looks almost endless and my non-allergic friend can attest to that!

My family and I have been going here since before I learned how to walk. Now I have been taking my wife and children to experience it all. Wow.... The times have changed, yet the quality and customer service has consistently maintained an exceptional level. Step away from the yogurt, for one day, and indulge into some good Ol fashion soft serve. Try EVERYTHING.

What is there to say about Dreamette that has not been said? We walk up here many times a month and are always greeted with a smile and a treat for it dog. Their prices are low, the ice cream is fantastic, and its a great, historic part of our city.

I got the Banana Pudding shake and it was absolutely amazing. It was thick enough to eat like soft serve, had real bananas and vanilla wafers, as well as being the perfect amount of sweet. It was worth driving all across Jax for.

This place does not disappoint with their selection of options. But this ice cream cone is an upgrade from the regular chocolate dipped cone! And its taste like CAKE BATTER!!!! I believe this a cash only facility also.

A Northwest Jax classic if there is one. The menu hasnt changed since the time I learned to read, and for good reason - this is hands-down the best ice cream in town, maybe even in Florida. Just remember to bring cash!

This place is historic. My grandad took me to this Dreamette as a kid. Now 30 yrs later Im still going there. Great place for anyone who loves Ice cream. Usually crowded so expect a 10- 20 minute wait. Its worth it.

When I heard we were going to Dreamette after a soccer game I asked where was that! We found it, and I must say when I tasted their brand of Ice Cream it was finger licking good. You wont be disappointed.

Great place for soft serve in Murray Hill. Lines can be long sometimes but its worth the wait. Plan on eating it there otherwise you might make a mess in the car. Also its cash only.

Their ice cream is great but they dont take cards so you have to go to the gas station next door and use their ATM and then go back to Dreamette. Thats my only complaint.

It is ok. The cone was not as fresh as it could have been. Size is not commensurate with price. I think it could have been larger for the cost. Parking is horrible.
