The food is good but we have had a few bad experiences in a row. The last one was the worst. Invited my folks out with my husband and 3 year old daughter to "our diner." After a 40 minute wait (which we expected as it was a Sunday), we were sat and greeted by a waitress who never smiled once the entire time. When she brought my moms food, my mom apologized and said (for the second time) that she was on a diet and couldnt have butter on her toast. My mother again appologized and said that she thought she had mentioned it (which she had). The waitress snached back the plate of toast and said, "no, you didnt." We are used to waiting here for things as it is a busy diner. But when we finally got out food, or dirty plates hadnt been cleared for more than a few minutes when who we believe was the owner came to our table and said, no joke, "we have a line at the door guys. Lot of people waiting." And that is now the Sunday that we put the last bite of food in our mouths and were kicked out of a restaurant, toddler parents and grandparents. I have never felt quite that level of "quick! Give us your money and get out!" From any other business. It gave us a good laugh as we left, but as this was not the first or second bad experience, after ten years of patroning this joint, were dunzo.

If you miss New York a trip to Egg n You will make you feel right at home. Ive read some of the negative reviews and to them I say -- go eat elsewhere! The food is terrific, the service quick and once they get to know you incredibly friendly. Truth is they were nice to me before they knew me. Can some of the waitresses be a little brusk? Yea -- but you serve 10 tables for 8 hours on inexpensive meals for 20 years. Cut them a little slack. The servers have been there for as long as I can remember and they work their asses off. Not to mention -- if you were in New York the chances of getting scolded for ordering a non standard items would be much worse! Its Florida but its still the south. So they have grits -- not homefries. Try asking from grits at Three Guys on Madison Avenue and see how that goes. Long live Egg N You!

I was able to wipe the fork and knife and I could clearly see either they were not cleaned properly or just covered in dust from the surrounding area. The coffee pots are all uncovered and sitting next to what may have been the the most disgusting electrical outlet mankind has ever seen. There are statues on display that have obviously not been wiped down in months, maybe years. Seating is pretty tight. I was able to listen to 5 different conversations and it was not because I wanted to. I ordered a simple breakfast and it was okay....overeasy eggs, toast, hashbrowns, and bacon. The bacon crunched like they made it in a deepfryer. Im not saying I would never come back to this place but they really need some change here.

Its a diner, its not fine dining. Good food, served quickly and pleasantly. Those are the only real requirements. EGG AND YOU, revisited executed very well. The pancakes are fluffy, tender ave bursting with fresh blueberries. Tender pancakes are a rarity and these very good. The burger and eggs are nothing special, but they are tasty. The burger was a little tough, and maybe a tad over charred, but its not a deal breaker. The biscuit was moist and very flavorful; I may have to come back soon and have them smothered in gravy. This is a place that gets really busy on the weekends with the local crowd, have some patience service is fast and friendly and you wont have to wait too long to stuff your face with blueberry goodness.

The restaurant does have an old diner feel to it, but I cannot recommend the cuisine. My friend and I both had ham and cheese omelets that were overcooked (just short of burned), tough, and were made with lunchmeat ham and cheddar cheese that was clearly not for use with cooking an omelet. Both omelets were cooked the same way, and the place wasnt overly busy. Pancakes tasted as if they were made with a stale box mixture. I personally would have thrown these omelets/pancakes away and started over if I were cooking for others. Atmosphere was decent, but rating this as poor, based on the food we received.

It is like going back in time. Nice, vintage place (and vintage but productive staff) smiles. This is Old Florida. A local favorite and we love it !!!. Keep up the good work. Good service and best Diner food in town. ....But yes... I have stayed too long as well, ...and I have been ask to move along, lol. When the Egg N You has a line waiting at the door, you got to eat and get the hell out, someone (like me) could be waiting on a booth ! I mean they dont ask you to choke your food down, but this is not star bucks. My word not the diners, smiles..

The staff was super courteous and efficient. I placed a large breakfast order to go and I did not have to ask a single additional item. i.e. cutlery, condiments, napkins. It was all added my order was reviewed and I was welcomed back. They were great. In addition, I was offered a glass of water or a drink whilst I waited for my order. I found that touch to be a refreshing throwback to when service was great and the norm. Kudos! Well done, everyone. Thank you!

The food is great but the service needs to improve. The ladies at the register seem like they are upset that you are there, Ive been there multiple times and its always been the same experience. The place has been there for many years and it looks like its never been updated. The usual customer is probably 65 and retired. Overall good place to have breakfast with your loved ones.

I really dont know what the fuss is about. We came here based off the line we frequently see and reviews. Yes servers were friendly and the place is old but the food was below average. Nothing had even the slightest seasoning or flavor. Even the coffee was bad. Everything was frozen and both of us left feeling sick to our stomachs.

This a little gem! Walking into a timewarp, the servers are friendly, the food is varied and very well priced and theres even free parking out back (through the gate, yellow marked spaces). The steak and eggs was great - very flavourful and well cooked, coffee also good. Definitely a return trip (or several) on the cards...

I usually eat here at least once every other week. The food is very reasonably priced, well prepared to your order, and the service is very personable. Their biscuits is the main thing that has been keeping me coming back for breakfast for so many years now.
