Not as good as I hoped it would be, and quite pricey. The eggplant rollatini was delicious. So savory. They supposedly ran out of Buffalo mozzarella so we couldnt try their special caprese. Quite disappointing. We were there before 7, which is quite early being that theyre only open for dinner. Bread was pretty good and EVOO was delicious. Butter was chilled and still hard, difficult to spread. I got a shrimp and mushroom pasta with mushroom/cream sauce. Loved the mushrooms and appreciated the strength of mushrooms embedded in the dish! The sauce was OK, but was missing something, a little bland. Got a bit salty near the bottom, should have been mixed longer. I added pepper and parmesan (which they put in a wine glass - couldnt tell if it was freshly grinded or preshredded) and it helped. My fiancé had a clam pasta, which looked and tasted less impressive. Huge portions. Couldnt finish mine. Probably how they justify the rather pricey menu. Service was better than what you typically expect in privately-owned Italian restaurants, at least in New York and parts of Europe. The lady who served us was great! However, based on other reviews I expected a little more. The manager did greet us as we walked in, but proceeded to make calls on speakerphone , which was quite distracting, especially being that the restaurant music was connected via his Bluetooth (Im guessing) and would stop everytime he called. I really tried to like this place, but was overall a little disappointed. Dont get me wrong, its good food, but the reviews had me expecting more than what I got. I paid the same amount at the local joints in Bleecker St. for better quality dishes. Should consider lowering their prices.

Its the real deal. Old school. Owner on premises all the time to greet you and welcome you to his restaurant. Menu varies with whats fresh and available. Its small, not fancy and the menu is limited, but what you get is good food, well prepared in the cozy atmosphere of a real Italian trattoria, the kind that you might find in Italy. The only thing I found that was strange was that they dont offer a Caesar salad.

The Owner Francesco and his wife are so warm and welcoming!!! Authentic Italian meals which even my picky Husband from Torino loves and which make him feel likes hes back home in Italy. Fresh and flavorful plates, accompanied by warm and friendly service, all in a relaxing and elegant establishment make for a beautiful Italian cuisine date night!

What a great place! We had the Yellow Tail Snapper, great flavor and very fresh. Also tried the Osobucco It melted in my friends mouth. The pasta served with the main course was great as well; angel hair with olive oil and garlic. Yum. Our Service was great and Francesco made us feel very much at home. I will be back often. J Lopez

Italian is not my first choice, but whenever I want Italian foods I would come here. This 23 years old restaurant is highly recommended. Real mom&pop place. The owner, Francesco, has such a warm heart. He made us feel like eating at our grandparents house. He kept feeding us wonderful and tasty foods. The price is reasonable.

Always and exceptional meal in this restaurant. The fish and tuna dishes are excellent. I have been coming here for the past 3 years and Francesco and his staff have always been great and a pleasure to visit. You will never go home hungry!
