This place is amazing. They make everything from the caramel to the cones (you can see them doing cones if you show up when theyre not busy). The ice cream flavors are really interesting. There are normal ones, but there are also interesting different ones, too. Check their Facebook for updates. There is a huge bright mural across the street with some tables which is an awesome place to sit and eat your cone. Besides the good ice cream, the staff are lovely. Kind of a sad story following here but a good example of the heart of this place: when my service dog was dying of cancer, one of the few things he still enjoyed eating was Sweet Spots coconut ice cream. I bought a container of it to give him his meds in, and when they found out what it was for one of the clerks gave me a whole back of broken cone pieces too (he loved those). Lovely people, I would definitely recommend this place. The lines can be long at peak times but PERSEVERE, its worth it. They get through lines pretty quickly, anyway.

At first when you walk into the Sweet Spot, you might think its a little bare, but this ice cream restaurant definitely holds its treasures. The Sweet Spot offers a delicious variety of ice cream treats including frozen yogurt with sweet and nutty mix ins, milkshakes, sundaes, hard ice cream and smoothies! The Sweet Spot recently opened to the community and is very interested in providing the most satisfying ice cream treats to anyones taste buds. If you cant find your favorite ice cream treat, the Sweet Spot is glad to add the most breath-taking items to their menu. We stumbled in the the Sweet Spot during their opening week in April 2009. And, have been hooked ever since. The owners are warm, friendly people who quickly call their customers by name and remember their dessert preferences. The ice cream is out of this world! The flavor profiles are delicious, and you can taste the fresh ingredients without all the junk that you usually find in ice cream. They make yummy ice cream cakes and pies too. Make sure you dont miss their homemade toppings (hot fudge, caramel, peanut butter and marshmallow)!

Five stars to Jimmy and Melissa, the owners of the Sweet Spot in downtown Deland. Not only is the homemade ice cream delicious and available in a variety of flavors, the smoothies are great and very filling and the soft serve is wonderful as well! Its such a wonderful place to take the family, Jimmy and Melissa go out of their way to please their customers and ensure the experience leaves them wanting more!

Jimmy and his family have created one of our communitys bright spots. The ice cream is made on site, the flavor ideas are amazing (love the maple bacon in a waffle cone) and the service is more than youd expect from an ice cream parlor. They also make the ice cream for our communitys "Ice Cream Walk" which is a "must attend" event in DeLand.

Great place to grab dessert after dinner. There was a large line the last time we went, but we got our ice cream within 5 minutes. Their ice cream is awesome, but the service with a smile attitude really makes this place special. Try their lemon blueberry next time you go.

Best Ive cream around its all home made there and you always get unique flavors. They do have traditional but, they are not their main. The flavors rotate every week or so, so if you find one you absolutely love grab a pint before it disappears again.

Tasty. Service was nothing spectacular. Went to the chocolate shop on the Main Street and they told me that Sweet Spot makes their ice cream, but uses their chocolates. If you want some different flavors, visit Pat and Tonis.
