I have supported the Green Parrot MAINLY because they have kept Live Bands coming in since they began. Now, even though only on weekends, Thus, TWO stars instead of one. I still respect them for supporting local and good bands. (We need more venues like this for live music.) On the other hand, this week, me and several friends went to the club. We had to wait for more than 10 minutes to get someone at / behind the bar to get us a drink. We had to literally wave them over and whistle. Slowly, the bartender approached and leaned over the bar to hear our orders. At no point was he congenial, helpful or even interested (seemingly) in taking our order, obviously. Since we were getting poor service from the bar, we all elected to go to a table near the empty stage (weeknight, not weekend). No entertainment, except baseball on most every TV. The music was blaring through the house PA. We had a hard time talking to each other. As well, the A/C is on and off, making it too cold to too hot. The 4 girls we were with were having to go outside sometimes to "warm up", even though we were trying to sit out from under a direct AC vent. Then, our new but same problem: We got NO SERVICE!! We had to go back to the bar and ASK who our waiter / waitress was after 20 minutes with no service. The bartender pointed to a blond in a red "Green Parrot" shirt. We had hoped the bartender would have told that waitress we still wanted / needed service. It took an additional 15 - 20 minutes to get her OVER to our table. We had to ask for menus, as she did not offer them. Our completely empty drink cups / pitchers should have told her the story, as she looked cluelessly at our table. We had to specifically tell her what we had been drinking, and even ask for any specials or alternative beers / liquor options. She did not even clear the table of empty glasses and pitchers. We had to pick them up and put them on another empty table close by! While she eventually got our drink orders correct, the food was a disappointment. My order: The "Hoagie" was a couple of onion slices, with a ground beef burger patty, shoved in between two pieces of cheap white bread (literally). The chips were soggy and stale. The waitress seemed uninterested in serving us, and we heard other complaints also from different tables when they heard us complaining openly. The "management" (or whomever was on duty) seemed unconcerned / disinterested. Our waitress seemed mostly concerned with a couple of guys she hovered around mostly, close to the bar. While we gave a reasonable tip (even above 10%), we will NOT be returning to this establishment. We might come back to support local / live bands, but that is it for now. There are dozens of other establishments close by that treat us with more respect for our patronage. Well spend our money elsewhere.

My husband and I came in yesterday afternoon. Sat at a table and waited to order a drink. We waited about 10 minutes with no help in sight. My husband walked to the bar to order drinks where I am assuming the 2 guys back there were bartenders. He stood there for about 5 minutes un-noticed. How I dont know considering he is a big guy and looked as if he needed help. With nothing happening he came back to the table. Finally I see a what I believe to be server wearing a staff shirt. She was watching the games on the TVs not taking care of customers. My husband flagged her down, She took our drink order, 2 cokes. About 10 minutes later, we got them. Asked for a menu, Had to wait even longer to place our orders. We both ordered the buffalo Chicken sandwich. 7.50$ a piece. Lets just say good thing it was served with bread and fillers because the chicken part was not even enough to feel up my infant. Not to mention it was the cheapest fakest processed chicken I have yet to eat. Sauce was decent. We then only seen our server very little as she was busy watching the games. I have many years myself in serving, and customer service. I told my husband to leave her 24 cents. She wasnt even worth a quarter if you ask me. I also noticed the big guy sitting at the bar snorting cocaine. Not sure why the bartenders didnt considering they were practically in his face the entire time we were there. With this said, I will never come back and never give a good recommendation to anyone. Hopefully one day you will be able to improve your staff and you will see more visitors whom are not considered "regulars" considering they are the ones snorting cocaine in front of other customers and obnoxiously drunken state.

I have been patronizing the Green Parrot for about ten years, and continue to do so on a monthly or so basis on the weekends. I always enjoy my time there as the staff is exemplary and very courteous. The management/ownership recruit very talented local cover/tribute Classic Rock/ Grunge Rock/1990s Alternative Rock, and 2000s Rock based band (s) to play and entertain the patrons on the weekends and there is dance area for people who like to dance to the live music. The bartender (s) at the Green Parrot prepare the best Mudslides and White Russians, hands down in term of quality and portion, of any bar in the Central Florida area that I have patronized. In addition, they have a good selection of beer, including but not limited to: Goose Island IPA , Newcastle Brown Ale, Killians Irish Red , and Stella Artois on tap. The Green Parrot is also very good in terms of being a sports bar as they carry the various DirectTV sports packages. During the MLB season, usually the different tvs are already set to the Rays, Marlins, Yankees, Mets, Red Sox, Orioles, Nationals, and Phillies games, assuming these teams are playing simultaneously, which is great for Northeastern transplant sports /MLB fanatics as myself. If you know your DirecTV channel # for a particular game/sporting event that you want to watch, ask one of the staff , and they will gladly put it on for you. During the Fall on Saturday nights, the Green Parrot takes on an even livelier dimension and atmosphere when FSU Seminoles, Miami Hurricanes, or Florida Gators are playing a prime time game during the College Football season.

This establishment supports a man that has abandoned 4 children. Andrew Murphy deals poker during the week at the bar. While the mother of the children works more than one job to support the family. The children have no father figure as he has abandoned all responsibility to them. They are hurting. He has had numerous opportunities to spend time with his children and refuses to. Men that are cowards and abandon their children should not be supported in the community. Any person or establishment that supports this contributes to the pain of fatherless children and the lack they live in being left with one parent to support them. Do not support Andrew Murphy. Do not believe his excuses as to why he has abandoned his children. Everyone should know. It is public record in Seminole county.
