I and my family visits almost every week to Village inn restaurent Brandon,Fl. We were happy from almost 3 years but after the Assistant Manager Betty Simon took place. we are very dissatisfied by her rude, mean looks and arrogant behavior. She is such a mean spirited women who came and told me,my wife and my small kids that we are to wear shoes not sandals because of health hazzards. we are siting in our table and she said in front of all publics and offended all of us . According to FDA and Health Department , an employee has to wear shoes at all times if they are working in the restaurant. we are not employers in that restaurant we came as customers who came to have a night dinner. But she spoiled our night itself because of her indecency words. We are not some low class people who dont know how to behave in restaurents. But because of her low cheap class attitude she spoiled our minds. We were not even in barefoot. Even last week on our coffee cup , there was a moth dead, she argued it was not moth. It was nothing . Is she blind to see? Employee dress codes prohibiting bare feet but none of us are emplyees. I hope The General Manager Mrs Paula sees this womans attitude and discipline her for her ridiculous attitude towards customers. Village Inn was our favorite restaurants at weekends. But not anymore untill this mean Betty Simon exists. Every time we went this Betty simon had complaints against us. Looks like that She just cant stand our family.Every time we used to recommend our friend and family to go to restaurent and many times we come with our friends. Here afterwards I will tell them not to come to this restaurant anymore untill this silly women has gone out of this branch. Even when we enter inside restaurent and say hi or when we give smile to her, she doesnt have courtesy to give a warm gesture of smile. She looks us like a crazy women. One more time when we ordered corn for my children, she served the brown colour corn which looked spoiled and smelling different. Another time she served us a burnt pan cakes . Everytime we had problem when this women was there. Also she makes us to wait nearly 45 min to 1 hour to take order. All these things happened in Bettys presence. It was never like this before. We forgave her and adjusted all the time. But not anymore when she has offended us all time. This made our mind up we wouldnt come back here again. The restaurant manager was very very arrogant towards us, for this reason and a few more we will not return here. Even the service is pathetic. Every time we went she was bullying us and she is very unprofessional.Out tables were not cleaned when we said to her, she didnt care and we asked for high chair, she gave the dirty one which had food particles and she never cleaned or heard any of our requests. We are exhausted to see her Arrogant Face.Life is too short to deal with bad service and to deal with extremely bad behaviors of Asst manager Betty. There was even another server who was backing her and supporting her nonsense. I do not know whether any disciplinary action will be taken against this Betty. But I am sure I wont recommended anyone of my family, friends and relatives nor from office colleagues till this women is still in village inn. we felt we wasted our time, peace, money here by excusing her and coming every time.I do not recommend anyone untill this women is still working there. This manager is confused, defensive about her hittler role and inattentive staff in her presence.

Village Inn is the southern name for a fairly well-known and well-regarded restaurant chain from up north called Bakers Square. These restaurants are virtually the same in decor and menus other than the different names. Food quality is very good though there are some annoying (fairly small as they are) differences at these southern versions of Bakers Square - my main gripe is that they seem to think that the Oreo Pie has been discontinued. It has not and is widely available and VERY popular up north at any and all Bakers Square restaurants - not sure why these particular restaurants here in Tampa think that its been discontinued franchise-wide but theyre incorrect. Other than that minor complaint, Village Inns (aka Bakers Square) provide excellent food quality with a really great menu of items (my personal favorite? The Honey Mustard Club Pita minus the mustard, which I personally dislike, is quite tasty and their french fries are very tasty with it. They used to have a fantastic house salad that was both sizable and delicious but have recently (in the past 2 years) changed it so that its now much smaller, with less items and way more nasty spinach leaves (with disgustingly huge stems on them - theyre really gross). So thats disappointing BUT they still have the best Blue Cheese dressing Ive ever had at ANY restaurant, so thats something at least! Their pies are famous country-wide and are, honestly, the main thing theyre known for everywhere they exist. They offer a super wide selection of creative pies as well as timeless classics such as Apple Pie or Lemon Meringue. Id suggest that you sample the delicious Oreo Pie but sadly these Florida restaurants dont offer it. Service has been good at all the various Village Inns that Ive frequented down here in Tampa so thats another big plus. Overall this is a really nice restaurant chain for this local area, offering delicious food, a nice broad menu, good service, and nice decor.

I used to love this restaurant, but the staff has all changed and now its horrible. We were seated quickly and were able to order in a timely fashion, but we waited forever for our food when they werent busy at all. The waitress brought our food and my feancés order was wrong, but since it was still a hamburger we didnt realize until our receipt came and it was more expensive than it was supposed to be. Throughout our meal our waitress was a bit rude as well, so at this point we were very displeased. We brought our problem with the receipt up with the women we pay with, someone other than the waitress, and she went to go get her manager. The manager, Paula, was rude and dismissive and had a completely bad attitude. She was actually reminding me of my five year old niece. She did fix our bill, but then she waved us off after that like she was pawning us off on someone else. After we paid we found her again and told her that we didnt appreciate her attitude towards us and her response was that she didnt know how to use the register and thats why she left (How dose a manager not know how to use their own systems?). We told her that was fine, but she didnt need to treat us the way she did and her response was that we ate the food so we should pay for it and that the waitress said that not only did my feancé order the other hamburger, but I said so too, so thats why she was being that way and then she threw is a Merry Christmas as we were leaving as if that would help. I did not say anything about my feancés order other than that the tomato needs to be on the side and the fries needed low salt, which they messed up anyway, because he always forgets to add that and it really bothers me that the manager would take the waitresss word as absolute fact anyway. I havent called the corporate office yet, but thats my next step.
