Stein & Vine is a local hidden gem. Sitting in a non-descript location in a strip mall along Bloomingdale Avenue, I drove past it, unknowingly for nearly a year before I first ventured in. I had very low expectations from the outdoor signage, but once I stepped inside and realized how busy the place was, I knew it had to have something special. They have a great craft beer selection, especially if you like Florida beers. Im not much of a wine drinker, but my friends who are assure me that the wine options are equally good. My first few visits involved much waiting because it was so small, but since they expanded into the adjacent space, its so much easier to get a seat at the bar. The popularity of Stein & Vine means, that if you visit during peak times, youre still likely to wait for a table, but it is SO worth it. The food is phenomenal. The menu is small and simple enough that you wont be lost in decision-making land, but it has a wide enough selection that everyone in your group will find something to love. For the first few times I visited, I stayed with the amazing burgers. The Juicy Lacey is my favorite and its so reasonably priced, especially compared to the burgers in some of the other local establishments, that its always a winning choice. Every one of the appetizers is outstanding. The pig wings are always on my order. I eventually began to order of the specials board, and I rarely stray from the special selections now. I strongly recommend reviewing the a-frame before you enter to help you decide because once you get an eyeful and the aroma of the other guests plates, you may have a hard time choosing. Stein & Vine is my go-to lunch meeting spot. Ive never had to wait for a table during that time and the service is always quick. Theyre not too busy on most weeknights, but on Thursday through the weekend you could see quite a wait time, but dont be scared off by it. Have a couple beers or glasses of wine and wait it out. Your palate and stomach will thank you.

This place is a hidden gem in Brandon/Riverview area. I was a bit hesitant to stop by as it seemed like an odd place to have a pub. Its next to a Big Lots and a Hungry Howies Pizza. Dont let that deter you! This place is absolutely amazing once inside. It reminds me of some older bars/restaurants I visited while in Savannah, GA. The staff is amazing and the food is outstanding. I tried the pb&j burger (special one day) and it truly was one of the best meals I have ever had. I tried there tacos and they were just as delicious. My partner had the fish and chips and the portion was very generous. He said it was some of the best fish and chips he has had locally. This location recently expanded due to its popularity I would assume. I strongly recommend this place for a great drink and food. They have a huge selection of beer and wines, among other drinks. Check them out... dont let the outside foul you!

Id much rather hang out at an intimate location like The Stein and Vine than The Brass Tap or World of Beer but they havent made it an easy choice. Not, by any means, a bad place to hang out but theres a lot of room for improvement. Nice ambiance and a solid craft beer selection. Beer is a bit overpriced especially compared to Brass Tap who have a larger selection. I was served a 12 oz. Founders Centennial IPA because, according to the bartender, its a double IPA (I guess they know better than Founders whose double IPA is called Double Trouble). Quality of the food... well, lets just say it doesnt match the quality of the beer. When I met the owners they were warm and friendly but the quality of service on my visit late last Saturday night was seriously lacking and my wife prefers a place where the womens bathroom is tidy and stocked with toilet paper.

The S&V is not only the perfect place for new craft beer fans to start their journey, but also caters to beer geeks who crave new beer experiences. If youre a fan of shirmp, do not miss the Drunken Shrimp; Im pretty sure the sauce is made with the tears of angels. The burgers are amazing and imaginative and go great with a side of tots. Best hangover cure Ive found is the Loaded Tots with everything...even a fried egg on top! The only thing better than the beer selection and food is the staff at the Stein & Vine. Their knowledge of beer and wine is outstanding and theyll make you feel like a regular in no time at all. Outstanding customer service. Its a safe place for the ladies to enjoy a nice Guinness or a glass of wine, alone or with friends. Meeting someone for the first time? Its a perfect first date spot, IMO.

S&V is in a dumpy shopping center, but dont let that scare you. S&V has a great beer and wine selection. Overall, the menu looks creative (ie soft shell crab, royal red shrimp and Gunslinger Grits were the specials) and isnt your normal bar food. Was there mainly for drinks but felt adventurous and ordered the Crawfish Chowda as well as the Chili. Both were average. I was really hoping the crawfish chowda was going to be good, but it was mostly corn, potatoes, mushrooms and a few tiny frozen crawfish tails. The chili definitely had some kick. The waitress went ahead and brought out a side of sour cream for the chili, and then proceeded to charge us the 50 cents on the bill without even asking if we wanted the sour cream to begin with. The burgers looked pretty good

Best kept secret! Attended a birthday party in the "vault" with about 11 of us, which was a perfect fit, but anything more would be tight. I had no clue about this place. It reminds me of the cliche, Dont judge a book by its cover as one certainly would when pulling up to this location. When I walked in, however, all my worries were gone. Despite being packed, the staff did a great job attending to us. The food came out quickly and the brews quicker. A worthy selection of crafts on tap. The moment of truth were those tater tots! Wow. They do something extraordinary to a simple childhood favorite to make them pop with captivating flavors! Great experience, great staff, great food, at a deceiving location. A top-notch go-to pub!

By far the best bar and restaurant East of tampa... maybe in all of Hillsborough County. The kitchen serves inspired gastropub fare that just cant miss. From ahi tacos to pig wings to burgers - everything here is perfect. Their craft beer list is stellar and the servers dont make you feel like an idiot when you need to talk through (or taste) your order. If the conservative FL legislature would get out of the way and let places like this serve a cocktail, I would never leave. Seriously - this place is amazing.

Wow. I am blown away by the level of customer service at Stein and Vine. I ordered something that was new to me, and learned that I didnt care for it. Our server, Melissa, took it upon herself to take the meal off our bill without me complaining. When you are treated like you are cared for, you cannot help but to be thankful and amazed by the quality of customer service you have experienced. This kind of outstanding service is not so common anymore. We are all impressed!! Thank you, Stein and Vine!
