I have visited this Five Guys many times because I enjoy the burgers. Today, Saturday 8/13/16, my boyfriend and I went to grab burgers and arrived at 9:55pm. The sign on the door said they close at 10pm, but the door was already locked. We could see staff and a few customers inside. I knocked on the glass door a couple times before staff acknowledged me - a staff member with a broom motioned that they were closed. I pointed to my watch and said its not 10:00 yet. This particular Five Guys is close to Nationals Park and the game had just let out. I suspect they locked the door early to prevent a post-game crowd from entering. Whatever the case, they should not have locked the doors early. I was disappointed and hungry. I will take my business elsewhere in the future. I am writing this review while enjoying a meal at a different restaurant.

There is nothing fancy about 5 Guys, but the burgers are fresh as they cook them as your wait and they are made with our choice of topping. As I am from the west coast and travel to the DC area, I always make it a point to pick up burger and frys when Im in town. They are that good. Where else can you eat a hand full of peanuts as they cook your food. Oh, and before I forget, order the reg size fry, unless are sharing a large. They put your burger in the sack first then add a cup and filled the sack with frys. Their only missing milk shakes. But that does not take away from a GREAT burger!

A quiet location and an understated interior make this a great place to sit down and chill. We all got burgers; they have a great array of toppings and the burgers are stain-the-bag greasy good. We also ordered the large fries, which are like boardwalk fries, and there were so many fries spilled over in the bag that we could fill 3 cups. A large fry will probably feed 3-4 people if you are all getting burgers. We definitely recommend this place if you are looking for something simple!

The lettuce wrap was just lettuce thrown on a burger like a bun. It was messy and not worth the 20 minute wait after ordering online when the order should have been ready in 8 minutes. The lady behind the counter was rude and served others without checking to see if my order was ready first.

Worst Five guys ive been to. Employees were rude and even one of the bus boys gave me a hard time for grabbing a hand full of "FREE" penauts to take with me. And why do they claim its the "best $5 burger a man can eat" when there cheapest one is $6.99 + tax.

The entrance is actually on 2nd Street SE, not where Google Maps suggests it is. Lovely people working there. Good food. STAY AWAY FROM THE PLACE IF TOU HAVE PEANUT ALLERGIES!
