Since I was in Rehoboth Beach one evening and had never been to any restaurant on the boardwalk, I decided to try the Greene Turtle. The design of this restaurant is a bit odd because the dining area is upstairs. So before dinner, you have a test of physical ability -- going up the steep flight of stairs! Not a problem for me but perhaps there ought to be a street-level dining option as well. The restaurant seemed a bit understaffed, so it took a while both to get seated and to get service even though it wasnt terribly busy on a Sunday night. Menu prices were high for portions that were only regular-sized. I thought the boneless wings were actually not bad, with a good amount of sauce. The chili nachos, on the other hand, didnt have enough nearly enough cheese to qualify as nachos and whatever was there had solidified into a food brick.

This Green Turtle isnt worth the one star. We received such poor service here. We were a party of four adults and seven kids on a visit to the beach. We decided to stop in here for some dinner. We were told it would be a 45 minute wait. So we waited. An hour later and we were told it would be another 20 minutes! Meanwhile other people were being called up for their tables. I finally had enough went up to the hostess who told me she wasnt sure how much longer it was going to be and then she said she didnt think they could sit us cause there were too many of us. WHAT?!? I asked for a manager, who came up to us to tell us the same story. We were so livid! We left. HORRIBLE establishment!

Spent the week at Rehobeth and every day I was at the green turtle on the boardwalk . The first meal was wrong (I ordered rare and I got medium) the bar tenders Rob and TK told the manager (I dont remember his name) even after I said it was ok. The mamager took $$$ off bought me a beer AND gave me another steak. Every day I was greated with a friendly smile and a handshake. The other bartenders Travis and Riannon were friendly and like Rob ans TK I never had to wait. I HIGHLY reccommend The Green Turtle on the boardwalk. Everyone worked together to make sure customers were take care of.

Came here this past weekend while on vacation to get some food and drinks with friends. The waitress barely spoke any English, which made it very difficult and frustrating on both of our ends while trying to place an order. The restaurant seemed very dirty and unorganized. I ordered the chicken quesadilla and after having 15 minutes of eating it I had gotten so sick that I ran to the bathroom and puked. Very bad experience, if you are visiting rohobeth or any of the surrounding beaches and boardwalks do yourselves a favor and stay far away from this place.

This was my first time at the Greene Turtle. The experience wasnt what I anticipated. Waited 20 minuets to be seated and then another half hour to be waited on. After finally being waited on we waited another hour for our food! Food came and was decent but the "homemade" chips were stale and hard. The manager said service was slow because of hot weather. It was a pathetic excuse for being under staffed on a holiday week. Bottom line is that if you dont want to waste your entire night waiting for average quality food then this is not the place for you.

Went in to have lunch while enjoying ocean view. After being seated waited over ten mins for server to greet us. After finishing meal waited over 20 minutes till finally went to hostess and asked for manager so we could get our check and leave. Explained experience to manager did nothing other then asked where we were sitting so he could get our sever to bring the check. Neither sever or manager apologize for delay. We paid our bill and left. We left there and went to Nico-bolis where the service was great and drinks were much better.

I usually refrain from posting reviews on places because I was a waitress and I understand that some days service can suck. However this place was just terrible. Our server took 20 minutes to get our drink order. Then our drinks arrived when our food did?! I also asked 3 times for a water which came half way through my meal. Our waitress was disengaged and completely rude. The food sucked and was cold. We didnt bother sending it back because it wouldve taken another hour. DO NOT waste your time or money here.

Food was good our waitress was great. I wish i remembered her name. We were driving threw on our way home to New York and had to stop to watch the Bills game and even though the Bills lost to the dolphins we were winners to find this place we sat in a booth with a tv for 3 hours while watching the game with the view of the ocean. we saw dolphins jumping. The bartenders were not very nice. we were going to sit at the bar until we opted to get a table. Our waitress was patience and sweet and welcoming.

Worst Greene Turtle. Just because you are located by the beach they discontinued Happy Hour. Every other Greene Turtle in Delaware has it and they decided to take it away because its tourist season. No wonder its empty and other guest are dining at the other restaurants in boardwalk. Im so disatisfied with this restaurant. Sucks to be a reward member for so long. Dont plan to visit this location ever and I wouldnt recommend it to no one. Service is slow, food was cold and place was empty.

Oh the view! Its a chain. But you cant beat the view. Food was decent. Nothing to write home about, the staff were are quick and attentive. Took a while to get seated with only three other parties waiting. Lots of open tables, but Im sure they probably just didnt have enough staff. We visited in early September and the weather was well into the 80s which was a bit warmer than average for the time of year. So they must not have expected many customers but the sun brought us all out.

I came down to the beach to enjoy some time with my friends and get a drink, and had the unfourtantle experience of stopping in the bar, the first server we attempted to call over was too busy twerking, after 20 minutes trying to flag someone down we finally asked out loud for a shot and were greeted by a bartender with a terriable attitude, I shouldnt have to call across the bar to get some service I hope no one else has to deal with this unfourtantle place

Went to watch the Stanley Cup Finals, the only sporting event on TV at the time and a championship game in one of the 4 major league sports, and not a single TV had the game on. I asked several different servers and they said the manager was tied up with something. What a joke! We left to go elsewhere, along with at least 5 other customers. How does a sports bar not have this game on, yet every single restaurant around them had it on every TV.

I am not a big fan of any of the Greene Turtle restaurants I have been to, but this is certainly the best of them. This is due mainly to the location; it sits on the boardwalk in the second story space, making for great views and a nice breeze off the Atlantic when the large glass doors are opened. There is a small balcony where you can sit at a table or stand and look out at the ocean. Beyond this, its Greene Turtle as usual.
