Stopped for lunch after friends raving about the food. It was after 2, so not very busy. Ordered a med pizza and husband got a cheeseburger. Food sat waiting for waitress to quit standing at register looking down. Finally brought it. It was a half hour after we ordered. Fries were cold, but food was ok. Pizza buried in cheese so you didnt taste any veggies or sauce. Never saw waitress again near tables. Finally stood up to get her attention, said we need a box and check. Left money and felt bad because I left a 15% tip which I didnt feel she deserved. But I rarely leave less than 20%. Still, Im going to stop tipping with such bad service. At night felt sick and all day today. For lunch today my husband ate some of my leftover pizza and now feels bloated and ill too. So we will not be back.

Porto-fino has been around for a long time and has a great atmosphere of local spot. You can always tell, when most of people walk into the place and greeted by name, know waiters and know what to order. There is always a fresh popcorn waiting for you while the seat opens up.The salads are always fresh ( the Greek one is my favorite), the Philly cheesesteak ( as well as chicken one) are among the best in Delaware and as good as the ones you get in Philly. The rolls are delivered from local Serpes bakery daily, and they are top notch. Anyway, if you are walking the Old NewCastle , this place is only a couple of minutes away. Bon appetite!

I have always enjoyed my dining experience and take out orders from Portofino until today when I called to order my favorite nachos and now all of a sudden there is a new manager who refuses to accommodate me. I will never order from this place again. Thanks Nicole aka New Manager.

Best itailian restaurent in new castle.ive been here 4 times so far and the food and service was exceptional...the waitress even remembered. My buddys service dog...wow try this place it is awesome!!!! Lisa is a great and wonderful waitress...she deserves a raise!!!!

Absolutely fabulous tasty food. Have yet to dine in, as its always busy but the take out is on point! Delicious worth left overs for next day tasting as good as first made. Ordered 3 times this past weekend, we couldnt get enough. Had to try everything lol Yummy!!!

It was for pick up on a Friday evening, the food was fine. Was told to pick up at 6 05 pm and did not get food until 630. Was waiting with a group of others that also there for pick up. Never got an excuse or apology. But the good was fine.

Food was just OK. Prices were reasonable, but Ive had better food for the same price at nicer restaurant. They dont have much competition, so I guess people are just not willing to drive anywhere else. Service was friendly.
