So, this is not a fancy place. It is quaint with antique soda bottles and old milk jugs scattered around the top shelf. It is tiny, only seating 24-26 people. But it is a slice of real Americana, complete with smiles, genuine concern for your happiness and enjoyment of your meal and recipes from your great grandmothers kitchen. (Chicken and dumplings, chocolate cake with peanut butter icing) Local fellas were in and out, hiding from their wives, getting some part for a car, and generally harrassing the waitresses in a good natured way. There was a long table pulled together along the back window where these men ebbed and flowed, filling and vacating open seats. A bit of country fried floor show. We wanted autographs... Bottom line, good food, CLEAN, friendly, right off the highway, we will be back.
