Went out into the rain tonight to buy a calzone. The sign said buy one get one free a calzone or a biolis. So I called a sitter to stay with my father while I went there to place an order. My father is 90 and has Alz. so we dont go out to eat. When I walked in I asked the young lady if I could order a calzone to go on the buy one get one. She yelled over to a manager and asked and he said no. All of this could have been eliminated for me if the sign out front had read "dine in only". I was so disappointed I just thanked the young lady and left. I was trying to do a nice thing for my Dad and after having to ask me neighbor to come in and stay with him while I went to Grottos was so disappointing. When I was backing out of the parking lot I had a tear in my eye as I was only trying to make my Dad happy with a calzone. Maybe Grotto would have made an exception if they new the circumstance however its very doubtful. Thanks for your kindness Grotto Pizza.

In our family it is either you love the pizza or you really dislike the pizza. The blend of 3 different ages of (Colby) cheddar is either a hit or miss depending upon your tastes. Also they are distinctively known for the swirl of sauce (on top of the cheese). Personally I find the sauce too sweet. I am more of a mozzarella and tomatoes sauce (with a zing) pizza person. This location can become quite busy and noisy depending upon the day, time and if there are some major sports (football, basketball, etc) on the ton of screens everywhere (including the little ones at the booth tables).

Stop here to eat some pizza while I was in town. By far one of the worst pizzas Ive ever ate not trying to be rude trying to save the next out of town guests from wasting money on this overpriced Pizza that has no taste. Go right up the street and get Pizza Hut pizza before coming here. We are from Virginia and would rather go to a Chucky Cheese and eat better Pizza than this place. The only reason Im giving two stars is due to the fact that we were in and out in less than 30 minutes.

I booked a party here for my daughters graduation. Our waitress was Ashely and she was not very pleasant or attentive. She acted as if we were annoying her by being there. After she overheard me saying she was rude, she actually began to do hr job. The food was however horrible. The pizza was bland which is unusual for Grottos, the appetizer tasted frozen and the "salad" was lettuce, onions and cucumbers. For the $232 we spent here, Ill never come back. Pretty pathetic.

I dont like going to Grottos but my sister makes me anytime she is visiting from out of town. She loves the pizza, me not so much. Its best to eat the pizza while its still hot because as soon as it cools down it tastes like plastic. It is a nice and big restaurant with lots of TVs for you to enjoy sports games. Service has always been decent. I do like that they have a mini arcade where the kids can play. Help yourself to free popcorn.

Food was great but the waitress we had needs to focus on her customers, took 15 minutes to take our order, someone else brought our food out and she never came back only to give the check and then never took care of that after us waiting for her to do so, had to get someone else to find her cause she was to busy behind the counter talking. She really can use some extra training.

Nice little spot to enjoy some wings and pizza. Kitchen made an honest mistake and messed up our pizza order, but the manager (Jamie) came out and apologized for the mix up and offered to pick up the tab on the pizza. I really appreciated the customer service and will return when Im in Dover.

Hello Dominic, I have known you ever since my dad hired you for teaching in Smyrna and we went to your Rehoboth Grottos for great pizza in about 1964 or 65. I still go to this store and more often to your Wilmington store which is great. Thanks for providing great food and service. Best Wishes

I think that Grottos style of pizza is an acquired taste, which I never was able to acquire. The staff here are all very friendly and the location is clean and roomy. I would recommend going to one of the many local Italian or pizza restaurants in the area before going here, though.

Have always loved the food & atmosphere. The staff is friendly, but we tend to eat late & there will only be 5 or so tables & LOTS of staff (standing around) but it takes an Extremely long time to be greeted at table, then to get check when ready to leave. Love the arcade too!

I showed up on Saturday, so naturally I grabbed the boys to crack open a cold one. Josh promptly stopped us and poured us three ice cold pints of light beer! Literally the best bar Ive ever been to in Delaware. Id give it 6 stars but they close too early!

it is great the mayors daughter works there so you should go if you want to ask a question for him through her. jk but it is good and the wings are the best but i dont like the bullseye looking pizza i want my chees on the whole pizza

The food here is decent and the service is usually adequate. The prices are ridiculous. Tonight I ordered one plain pizza, 12 wings and 2 20oz cokes for carry out and it was $37. Lower prices and/or better specials would be nice.

The stromboli and pizza were fantastic! Our server handled our group of 16 with ease and even managed to get a great photo of everyone! Really enjoyed the experience and will definitely return!
