A friend asked me to go to Doc Magrogans 1/24/14 and I agreed. I dont go that often. When I got to the entrance: I asked the Caucasian security guard how much was it to get in $3? He said "What? Its $5! (***NOTE HE SAID $5***) This isnt the Square Club!" (An African American organization in the Dover DE area known as "The New Square Club"). I asked him if that was a racial remark. Of course he replied, "No". I told him I dont go to The Square Club or Doc Magrogans that often and when I do the Square Club cost $15 or $20. I asked to speak with the manager about my experience and the manager said he did not think that was a racial remark and saw nothing wrong with it. The manager ASKED ME TO LEAVE. He could not tell me why I had to leave. I simply asked for my money back and told him people would hear about this! Before I walked across the casino to Doc Magrogans I went to a surprise birthday party at the FIRE AND ICE LOUNG. It was in the VIP section and it was free. There was a great band and the place was packed. I really enjoyed myself. About two months ago I went to Doc Magrogans and the crowd which was mostly african american were complaining about the DJ not wanting to play Hip Hop. I asked the DJ why couldnt he play Hip Hop He said Doc Magrogans didnt want him playing Hip Hop...... Around 6 months ago. Some friends and I came out to Docs and I ordered oysters. OVERPRICED! Omg! I never had oysters that high. Food is definitely overpriced for the quality. That was my 2nd time eating there. THESE ARE THE RACIAL EXPERIENCES IVE HAD WITH DOC MAGROGANS LOCATED AT DOVER DOWNS CASINO IN DOVER DE. I HAVE BEEN TO DOC MAGROGANS 5 (FIVE OR LESS) TIMES IN THE WHOLE YEAR AND A HALF IVE LIVED IN DOVER, DE BECAUSE OF MY BAD EXPERIENCES.

The worse experience ever, food was disgusting and bland no seasons I ordered some seafood trio meal salmon, scallops, shrimp, and garlic mashed potatoes. Lets not takk about the DJ music was horrible, Im all about alternative music but damn as a Dj you adapt to you audience. He played classic rock all night and the manager tells me its District office that sets the music genre. She also said the music played is in conjunction with whatever concert is in the casino. Bs if the concert is going on and ppl that bought a ticket to go wtf does the bar area have to do with the concert. Anyways never go its so WACK!!!!!!!!

Weve been coming to Dover for over 10 years and Docs used to be our favorite place to eat. Since late 2016, we have noticed a steady decline in the quality and quantity of food and service. We came about a month ago and they were out of so many basic foods it was pathetic. Today we ate lunch there and my husband ordered a medium rare burger and it comes out well done and inedible. My crab cake was burnt. Very disappointed in the quality of food anymore. Weve given them so many chances. We have decided to frequent the other local restaurants in the casino area.

Yesterday was my 1st & last time coming to this place. My food was cold when brought to my table, i had asked my server for the manager about 3 times and he never came. I could see her go to him from my table in the kitchen and all he did was wave his hand, kinda like a "get out of my face" wave. I believe his name was Curtice or something like that. It was a bad experience. My server and drinks were good but other than that I would not recommend eating here to anyone and I will be contacting corporate.

Nice upscale restaurant located inside the Dover Downs Casino. Our server Jason was great, really friendly and helpful. The dishes were all beautifully presented. The dishes were good, not great. Blackened salmon lacked flavor and was too oily. Croutons in salad were stale. Crab cake in fried Maryland combo lacked salt. Tuna tataki (rare) was pretty good. Overall, good dining experience and would recommend for a nice night out.

Gross got food poisoning from the only thing I thought was good there...the clam chowder. Didnt eat the crab dip because it was the consistency of cat food and the few chips it came with were stale and then the mussles smelled fishy. Spent $40 to puke later. Save yourself! Just go to mcdonalds...fish sandwich much better. Guess I should have known better when the chairs dont even match....no attention to detail

Ugh what did they do to my favorite salad in the world??? You can check my picture. This is no longer a cob salad. Its a salad with seafood! Im so disappointed! The only reason to go was for buck a shuck and the seafood cob salad... Now that half of the equation sucks. I wont be returning. They ruined a great thing. I wish I had a picture of the old salad so you can understand my pain more thoroughly!

Visiting from far. The endless crab was refreshingly endless. Olive Garden and similar places stop after round 5, this establishment catered for my 3 hour crab cram. My only complaint would be the fish sticks being sad, some sort of tasteless trash fish. The staff was family friendly and could have all been friends outside from the interactions i witnessed. Seems to be a popular enough spot.

Very pricey and this seems to be the one place in Dover where I dont "love" anything on the menu, possibly due to seeing the prices on things I typically lean towards. Atmosphere is great, service hit or miss. If you want it quiet, ask for a booth because the patio suffers from constant casino noise, but works depending on your mood. Trivia game on Wednesdays in patio section!

30 dollars gets u 3 shrimp 2 scallops and a peice of rubber for salmon. I ordered oysters and 45 minutes later after i got my disgusting food they ask if i had gotten my oysters yet. Which i hadnt. Even though i had asked about them numerous times. Used to be a good place to eat. Not so much anymore.

Very nice restaurant. Everything was very fresh and well prepared. Not a lot of food for the money but very good and satisfying. A nice place to enjoy a night out with the Misses.

No longer what it used to be. Food is greasy and staff seem not interested in your comfort, business. Prefer the sports bar next door.

We had some issues with our food while we were here but the manager made things right once we told her about our experience.
