Listen, dont walk into a place like this expecting to be blown away by the fine cuisine or spoiled rotten by a highly trained and attentive staff. Its a Greek pizza joint people, and I honestly dont think theyre expecting or aspiring to be anything more than that. Depending on the time and day, you might get a great server, but you might also get one thats not quite there yet. You will certainly never be abandoned, but theres so fluctuation there as far as service goes. In the numerous times Ive been there, its never been terrible. Food-wise, again...its standard Greek pizza with the standard appetizers and entrees. Its not the best youll ever have, but its consistent and never terrible. If youre looking for a quick bite, or a quick drink or even to hang out longer and watch a game, this place is solid. Sometimes peoples unreasonably high expectations translate into inaccurate reviews here. I will agree that the pizza is NOT what it used to be across the street, but its a good bite, and they take care of you. Case closed. I will say that as it gets later on weekend nights the bar clientele gets...dicey. It doesnt bother me, but if youre there with a spouse or a date or kids or whatever, Id clear out by 9pm.

Might be our new go to place! I was amazed how quick they prepared our takeout order. We walked over to the bar for drink while we waited. Food was done just as our drinks were finished. The burgers were delicious and huge! Steak fries were good as was the Spartan wrap. Potato salad was different but delicious. The pizza is not my style and the small was very small. But for a thicker crust pizza it was very tasty. Place is nice looking, well kept and staff was friendly. Parking lot is a little odd, especially with people picking up takeout and parking in front of the main entrance.

As a regular visitor to the Waterbury area, I have found Spartan to be my local favorite. Their dinners, sandwiches, and pizzas are consistently good. I highly recommend ordering one of their pizzas with gyro meat and a side of tzatziki sauce. Its not on the menu, but theyll make it on request and its outstanding!

The boneless Buffalo wings are excellent the sauce is something I bet you never had before. The pizza well I just got a plain to sample the basics first. Not bad sauce wasnt my style. Good beer selection. Was pretty busy waitress wasnt exactly on par. But all in all was a good experience.

Met another couple for a Christmas lunch and it was excellent. Calamari and carpaccio appetizers were excellent. Penne vodka and chicken risotto were also ample and very tasty. Wine prices were reasonable and service was attentive without being intrusive all in all a nice experience.

I surprise gym in the Middlebury area. I wasnt expecting much when I first got here, but the food turned out to be amazing. Had a lot of Mediterranean as well as typical American food influence. Their home made feta is to die for. Great value for money is their chicken breast dish.

One of my favorite places to eat. Amazing food! Great staff! Perfect family restaurant. I have never had a problem with the staff or atmosphere and I have been getting food from here for 7+ years. If you are looking for a lot of food and a friendly clean place to eat...this is it!

First off the girl on the phone was not professional. Then I get no ranch with a buffalo chicken sandwich. Plus their idea of Buffalo sauce is BBQ sauce. Worst mistake Ive made in a long time. Oh Mayne put some salt on the fries too. Epic failure of a restaurant.

My family loves the pizza from Spartans, its the best place in our area. Their staff are great too. I havent actually sat down for a meal there in a while (I have a two year old!) but I do remember the last time being a pleasant experience.

I come here for the chefs salad or really the creamy garlic dressing. They have good pizza too. Tula the owner is always there to make sure the patrons are taken care of. Ive been coming here for 30 + years and dont remember being disappointed.

My favorite restaurant in CT. Well worth the one hour drive from home. Perfect food both in terms of flavors and in beauty, and the service was impeccable. Manhattan quality food served in a casual farm setting is the best!!

went there to have a slice of pizza, it was ok i guess. The crust was was just way too thick. It is very busy in a bad way, it takes forever to order something and the food is awful, but there is room for improvement.

There is a menu with prices on their website and another menu with HIGHER prices at the pick-up counter. After insisting, and getting the manager involved, they agreed to charge the web prices, a 20% difference.
