Im very surprised at all the bad reviews Apollo pizza has. My family and I have been coming here for YEARS, and when I was in college, my boyfriend and I would come by for lunch once a week. The owners and employees are very friendly, prices are great, and so is the food -- in fact, Ive never been disappointed. I love the Greek pizza especially! Perhaps you should know before you go, this is NOT New Haven-style pizza; the crust is very thick, almost like garlic bread. Yes, the interior is a little run-down, and this is not a place to expect 5-star service, but if you appreciate a good pie even without a white tablecloth, youll enjoy it.

Delivery took twice the time we had been told. It wasnt hot. My childs food was thrown all together in a plain paper bag (Not even wrapped up in anything). Not even in a container! The calzone was flat, had hardly any filling and no crispiness at all. It was an $8 piece of bland bread. We didnt get the extra sauce we ordered. Even the tossed salad was a fail..It had pepperoni in it!! I dont eat meat and my child hates pepperoni. So a large salad and money was wasted. Even the delivery guy was kind of rude. NEVER again. I highly recommend skipping this place and spending your money elsewhere...Horrible dinner!!!

Just ordered a few meals a calzone and grilled chicken gyro meal. I ordered extravel gyro sauce and received no sauce at all and it was made with really old breaded chicken. When I called to ask about the sauce they said they would bring me some it has been a hour still no sauce. My food is cold and old now. Very bad costomers service. I am a chef who wanted a day off from cooking and Im discusted. My daughter got a shrimp pasta dish and it was so dry and the shrimp looked like they were chopped up. Would not recommend to anyonr.

We ordered on saturday, took well over an hour to get it. Last time we ordered it wasnt to bad not exactly hot and fresh but ok, this time pizza was ice cold like it is next morning in fridg. Had to heat in oven to eat. Oh fyi dont order anthing but pizza, most other stuff seems to be same stuff we buy from costco. Called and nobody would answer. Will not be calling them again.

I moved to Shelton less than a year ago and found Apollo within a month. I get the Chicago pizza and it is great. Love the taste of the crust. They have have many versions of their Chicago for me including roasted cloves of garlic if I call ahead. Great staff. Pleasant and appreciative.

I found myself in the interesting town of Seymour for a wedding and on my way into to I had a pie at the Apollo. Not terrible pizza I am a huge pizza guy so I will not say its amazing but the owner was nice and the pie beat dominos any day!

TORNADO! The sauce! The crust! The CHEESES! Delicious twist (haha) on pizza and calzone. Dont pass on this one.
