The aroma is mouth-watering as soon as you enter through the doors of this very fine bakery. I absolutely love their chocolate dipped canolis and strawberry cheesecakes. They are always delicious and very fresh. I have never once had a bad experience here and I have been coming to this bakery since I have moved to Trumbull.(21yrs now). They have the best sicilian rolls around!! The rolls are extremely soft and fresh as well as their breads. This bakery stands out from all the rest in Trumbull because unlike most; Luigis has a nice sit down cafe located right in the middle of the bakery!!!! Where you can enjoy a warm, frappy latte and many delectable pastries/cookies/cakes. I highly reccomend this bakery to anyone. I have been a customer for years and will continue to do so. Also, I love their very own red sauce and pasta (which they have a variety of). I love that their pasta is all home-made as well as their very own red pasta sauce. My two all-time favorite cookies here are the chocolate and vanilla dipped sandwich cookie with raspberry filling inside and the Italian classic--pignolli cookie. The service is extremely polite and well-mannered. Always welcoming and helpful; for when your looking for something in particular. Wonderful food and service!! This is surely a splendid bakery located right here in Trumbull. BEST BAKERY IN TRUMBULL!

Sorry people but its not like it used to be. I cannot tell you how many times I came home with pastry and cakes that were stale. I moved here from N.Y. years ago and was so happy that Luigis was here. It was great back then. Everything was delicious! Somehow, its changed a lot. I was just there the other day for zeppoles and its around Easter so you would think it would be fresh, no, not at all. My company took one bite and I ended up throwing the rest out. Even the Easter pies last year werent as good. I ended up going to downtown Bridgeport just to get freshness. Frank and the staff is great, I agree, and the italian rum cakes are only good if you specify you want it fresh. Wedding cakes, awesome!! Go down to Arthur Avenue in the Bronx if you want to taste fresh canolis.

My husband and I ordered our wedding cake from Luigis in Trumbull, and we were absolutely floored by the service. We met with Frank for cake tasting, and he brought out about 6 different cake samples for us to try. Every one of them was really tasty, but we settled on a 5-tier cake with alternating layers of raspberry and lemon mousse. The cake was beautiful when it arrived, and many of the guests said that unlike most wedding cakes, this one actually had great flavor. We were very happy with the presentation, and I will definitely be back to Trumbull Luigis for more!

Staff always seems to be new and alone. Ordered large coffee and medium Americano. Was told it would be $10. Coffee was listed as $2.70 and employee couldnt tell me how much an Americano was. She was just making it up. Eventually got the Americano, it was bad.
