So ive been to the big GWC two times. The first time I ordered some chicken lo mein which is my usual. Sadly it wasnt great and rather bland but no biggy Ive had worse, Ill just eat it and not come back here because of it being rather disappointing right? Wrong something compelled me today to return to the the great wall and boy was it a mistake. I decided not to press my luck this time with the lo mein but instead I ordered the general tsao chicken with and egg roll and white rice, I know basic but my thinking was they cant get this wrong. Nope. They took 15 minutes to prep this one thing and then when I got the food the man at the register takes away the chopsticks from my plate and replaces them with a fork because I guess my american appearance compelled him to give me a fork rather than just giving me both and letting me choose. Like homeboy I came to eat chinese so give me some mamajamming chopsticks. Regardless after all this I was rather hungry so I decide to alleviate this stressful encounter with some quality general tsao. The only problem was this was some horrible general tsao. I dont know what this sauce was but to be quite honest it tasted like I was licking a chimpanzees left butt cheek. I couldnt even eat my rice because it was doused in this butt cheek sauce too. So I was only left with one thing to eat which was the egg roll which turned out to be flavorless and as hard as a metallic baby carrot thats been taking roids for the last month. So then sad, heart broken and hungry, I gathered my remaining taste buds and took my leave. Needless to say it was not a thrilling experience and I do not recommend it to anyone unless you like the taste of chimp butt cheek.
