This establishment works in conjunction with Seamless Web applications to fulfill food orders online and delivery of the food. My husband and I ordered food this evening via Seamless app from Cotto winebar and were told food would be ready for delivery one after order was placed. We had called several times after the time surpassed this estimate and were told the food would be ready in 35 minutes. When 35 minutes also was exceeded I had called the restaurant to find out what was happening with the order. The manager picked up the phone and identified himself as such. He explained that he was "very busy" and the order "would not be made". He thought by providing a refund that this would satisfy our needs and promptly hung up the phone on myself and my husband several times. It took 4 phone calls to understand we were not getting our order and should be happy with the refund. This was a poor experience and terrible customer service. The man who claimed he was the manager cannot handle such a job.

Cotto has only been open for several months but this place is noteworthy for many reasons. The ambiance and decor is incredible. The food is beyond amazing. Started with an arugula salad, perfectly seasoned with olive oil. Prosciutto de Parma is unbelievable. The buratta is perfection. Fried calamari is perfectly fried with marinara sauce. Hanger steak cannot be beat. Pappardelle with wild boar is rich and tangy. Spaghetti carbonara is creamy and amazing. The owner Claudio is gracious and knows exactly what he is doing. Huge global wine selection.

We were just passing through Stamford for the night and stumbled upon Cotto - looked like Italy, so made reservation. Greeted warmly, fun at the bar. Moved to a table and really enjoyed a dining experience. Entire staff was incredibly attentive without being intrusive. Authentic Italian family and food. Delicious starters, rounded out with homemade pasta and pomodora - so good - and finished with classic creme brulee. Great experience and if we never make it back to Stamford, this will be our memory.

the manager/server had white powder coming out of his nose, and treated the staff like crap. it was horrifying. updated 8-24-2016 running scams, serving dubra out of grey goose bottles. avoid at all costs, drug fueled/abusive waiting staff. after three years its getting worse. if you insist on going, make sure to tip the bussers and the food runner. if the manager sees you tip someone, he WILL take the tip away and pocket it.

I really never go out to eat at a place that has not been already checked out by a friend or family member, but this time we took our chances. It was a great surprise, the atmosphere was perfect, the owner is a real Italian born in Italy, the food was simply awesome. Will be heading back this next weekend and Im taking my parents with us that happen to be Italian :)

Was over in the US of A for business and we endded up in Stamford, We decided to go for an Italian meal and ended up at Cotto. Its was a great experience, very nice place and the food is a real taste of Italy. We had the pleaseure to meet the owner that was nothing but Italian himself, I mean it couldnt be any other way with how good the food was.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Stamford. They have great drinks and various small plates. The owner is a bona fide Italian who prides himself on using locally-sourced, organic ingredients of the best quality, along with imported Italian meats and cheeses. Definitely order a the meat and cheese platter if this is your first time here!

Pros: Salads are good, drinks are good Cons: the food (pizza and pasta) tasted like it was pre-prepped and then frozen or placed in a fridge for too long. Pizza crust tasted like a frozen pizza. Very salty and not well balanced (crust/sauce/cheese). Service is average. Summary: this place used to be a neighborhood gem and has lost its way.

Didnt honor reservation; offered a round of drinks only after we had already ordered and paid for a round: finally seated us, only to ask us to get up and move after our appetizers had arrived. Nice food, good kitchen but the front of the house is an overbooked disaster on the weekends

I went to Capital Grille on a Saturday evening. It was very crowded so I would recommend making a reservation. My date and I opted to eat in the bar area where Adam was an excellent bar tender

We keep coming back because we get very good food (pastas in particular) at a reasonable price with good service. Great little place. Also nice to sit outside during the warmer months.

Great food. I usually come for brunch on Saturdays. Pre-fixes lunch menu Monday through Friday is so affordable for how much food you get. Friendly too!
