Visited today for the second time, and just as last time, today was a big success. We came in for lunch and were fortunate to get seated right away. The staff was friendly and the the atmosphere was comfortable and inviting while maintaining a BBQ style. My son and I couldnt pass up the pork belly taco appetizer, so we split that. They NEED to make this a meal offering...maybe 3 tacos and a side of rice and beans or something. A generous portion of delicious pork belly in a warm corn tortilla, topped with a nice undressed slaw. A squirt of provided lime wedge adds a nice bright pop of citrus to cut through the richness of the belly. I will no doubt order these again and again. For my meal, I opted for the smoked chicken salad sandwich and upgraded to curly fries. Served on a toasted sandwich roll with lettuce and tomato, it was a satisfying twist on a classic. The side of slaw was refreshing and well dressed, and I think the sliced pickles are homemade (so good!) We will definitely be returning when in town. Its a great spot for a great quick meal at an affordable price, or a relaxing night out for cocktails and sitting by the fire pit. Highly recommended!

The meats are outstanding, tender, great flavor. The big smokers in the back are not just for show and it reflects in the BBQ meat thats served. 5 stars for that. ... BUT then I tried the sides and it almost destroyed the experience. The coleslaw was warm and tasted like it was just scooped out of a bucket from Walmart. The collard greens were simply disgusting, zero flavor. At list price 4.95 for a side I expect something spectacular and not some tasteless afterthought. The sauces also tasted like straight up from the factory. Its a bummer that they ruin what they build up with the great BBQ when it comes to their supporting act. For me, Id rather get my BBQ fix at Northern Smoke BBQ, the drive is well worth it.

Stopped for a late lunch after hiking around Devils Den Nature Preserve. Food was tasty and plentiful. Maybe a little pricier than Id expect from a BBQ place, but the portions were generous. Husband and I shared the BBQ fries appetizer (curly fries, cheese, and pulled pork), which was better than most cheesy fries Ive had. Husband had the big combo BBQ plate and I the Cobb Salad- both were great. I took most of the salad home cause those cheesy fries were filling, and husband had leftovers too (despite his big appetite). Service was friendly and quick.

5 stars for the food and the bartender/waiter Mark, who was amazingly nice. Went there numerous times However the last time I went there the hostess would not seat my party of three in a booth. They told me they dont do reservations yet the hostess told me we couldnt sit in the booth because that was being saved in case parties of four or more showed up. Why not accommodate willing & able customers now over customers who may never even show? Thats bad business!! So we left, went to Hoo doo Browns and Wire Mill lost 3 dinners plus 2 to go meals from us.

Barbecue is ok but the prices are friendlier compared to other bbq restaurants. Personally, I would go to hoodoo browns which is about 10 minutes away.
