I cant say I "hate" the food because I didnt even get the chance to try it. The management was so terrible, that I got up and left. Sax Restaurant has a nice typed laminated lunch menu.. which says LUNCH SPECIALS right at the top. There are two columns of food on the left and the right. Right under lunch specials ... it says.... "Free soup with lunch special." I thought that was a nice bonus. My friend ordered a sandwich and I ordered the pizza slice. "Both on the lunch special page" When I told the waitress what type of soup I wanted, she told me that she had several complaints about it, but the pizza slice didnt come with soup. I asked why it was considered a special then... She told me it was the only item that didnt come with the soup according to management. So I asked nicely to speak to the manager. When he came over, I asked him if that was the lunch special page... he agreed. And he said the same thing - they dont offer the soup with the pizza. I suggested he take it off the special page then considering everything else was considered a special. He said.. "Why would I do that? Just to make you happy?" I cant believe he would pass up a $20.00 lunch, and possibly a returning customer over a bowl of soup. I paid for my one soda I purchased... and told him to cancel my order. The soup had nothing to do with my decision. If he said, "your right that is a good suggestion, I could see the confusion, I would have passed on the soup." However based on his very poor attitude and customer service, I would never return nor would I recommend this place to anyone.

Good old school comfort pizza, in the proper SQUARE slices. Veggies are from a can, and the hygeine of the kitchen staff is... well. Still, the pizzas going in a hot oven so whatever, and the pizza tastes like what I remember as a kid in the 80s, so if you go with the proper expectations youll like it here. Not for the man bun, scarf-in-April crowd. :P

My favorites from Sax are the steak and cheese with onions, they used to call it a #10. It was much easier ordering when they had the numbers. Also the roast beef club is amazing. There pizza is excellent but is a Greek style pizza with a crunchy crust and lots of cheese.

The pizza used to be great and my family would go here a lot for dinner. However, I feel like the food has gotten worse over the years. I would still tell people to check it out, because Ive only had the chance to eat here once in the last 5 years.
