This diner saved our day. In January my newly wed husband and I had a disastrous trip to St. Albans to interview for his green card. Our car broke down, there were no cars available to rent in the entire town and surrounding area, and we had no way of getting home. We ordered a much needed coffee and breakfast from this diner and went to work trying to figure out how to get all the way back across the state with no car, and our incredibly kind waitress allowed us to sit at her table as long as we needed. As someone whose been s server myself I know this is quite a sacrifice! Not only was the food delicious, friendliest staff you could ask for, but another guest in the restaurant overheard me on the phone and covered our bill as he felt sorry for our situation! After an already stressful day turned even more disastrous for us, I didnt think anything could turn it around. However our experience and meals here exceeded expectations and small town kindness goes a very long way. Thank you maple city diner and the kind stranger that changed our perspective :)

My wife and I visited this as our first outing in St Albans before riding the rail trail. The building is easily accessible for handicapped and painted a cheery yellow with vintage Coca Cola decor. The first course: Delicious maple parsnip soup! A completely new and wonderful taste experience. Homemade coleslaw is just right. Chicken salad and turkey wrap are tasty and hit the spot. Turkey baked on the premises; whole wheat bread satisfyingly substantial. Service was friendly and prompt. Only downside was walking past the deadly looking desert case - determined not to partake.

Food was good, the two of us had open faced turkey sandwiches with gravy and mashed potatoes. My wife asked for some cranberry sauce, which was very sweet and from a can. When we got the bill, they charged us almost four dollars for the cranberry. I asked the owner why they did not tell us about the $4 charge and she just said " We cannot give away product".

We went out on Mothers Day. Food was Great and staff was ok. Only thing I would ask them to change is the menu...No Childrens menu and had to pay full price for adult meals for kids and my kids dont eat like adults. Ages 4 & 6 Lots of wasted food. Nice Diner, but not for a family with small kids.

Decor and design is a little gaudy. The food is pretty good, especially for the price. Lots of plated food options including fruit and really great coffee! High chairs available for our toddler and you can order beautiful pastries to go!

After waiting 15 min, and still didnt see a waitress to even get a glass of water or order, I walked out... Worse yet, the place was pretty much empty... Maybe its good? But the service sucks.

Quintessential diner experience. Great service, excellent food (breakfast all day!), and a nice atmosphere make this a go-to spot for diner faire. Get there early because seats fill up quick!

Great place for breakfast and lunch. Best blueberry pancakes in town. Avoid if on a diet, the deserts are sure to make you postpone you weight loss program for another day. Very good!!!
