Time Out Taverne is an institution in the Durham area. Great bar area and wonderfully decorated dining room all in one building. Parking is ample, though it can get tricky during the busy hours. Reservations are suggested on the busy nights, Friday to Sunday. The Specials menu rarely has a miss on it. Depending on the time of year there will be an ample amount of seafood options. The seafood is very fresh and paired well in the dishes. For a suggestion I would say look to the regular menu and get the Tavern Chicken. It was a special that made its way to menu and is the perfect balance of Sweet and Savory, all over a perfect risotto.

Our family went on March20 2016 for the first time. Our Table ordered the pistachio crusted salmon, fried Calamari, garganzola covered steak, and their clam chowder. Everything was ridiculously good. Cooked on point and presentations were well done. Well be back. Keep it up guys

Great place to go for lunch or dinner especially if youre a Red Sox fan. The walls are decorated with Sox memorabilia and lots of TVs to watch the game. The food is good but on the pricier side. Really like the chowder here. They also have have an outside seating area.

Food is pricey for a restaurant that caters to the local people and service isnt that great when its busy. But if you sit at the bar and order food, service is better. Ambience is typical with sports tvs in bar and main dining area is lackluster.

Just stopped by 2 signs read wait to be seated but nobody offered to seat us. Proceeded to the bar but the bartender was to busy texting to acknowledge my existence. We left without speaking to any employees. Texting is downfall of many businesses!!

Nice place. I go regularly. Crazy popular early evening because of location. Food is done and presented well. A bit pricey for dinner, but a great deal for lunch. Lots of beer selections, but almost all are bottles. Very few draft options.

went there 2 days ago. had a burger and friend has pasta and both of us got sick immediately. after a day i ate the leftover i had and also got sick again. something was not right with these guys on that day. owner should check this out.

We love this restaurant. It is consistently good. Never disappointed no matter what we order. Staff is pleasant and informed. Its a great spot! Good atmosohere, good prices, pour a great drink and feed is delicious.

While the ambiance is OK, the food is over-cooked. The Irish Coffee I ordered was probably the worst Ive ever had. You dont serve Irish Coffee in a coffee cup! The old Time Out served the best Irish Coffee around.

Its food. I didnt go hungry, but it really wasnt that great. Also, when I went the place was packed and I swear I walked out with hearing damage. It gets so loud. Pass.

If you dont hire a chef, close the doors. Over salted steak, undercooked fish dishes are a clear indication there are definitely health violations if not worse.

No very good food. We had to send our drinks back 3 times! They were Manhattans and not drinkable. It was like drinking straight Vermouth.

This place is clickie, really nice inside and busy but why I do not know. Food is over priced and just ok...at least the drinks are good
