I seldom deal fives so let me explain. This is a new version of Thai Stories (the restaurant in Selden Plaza, a small strip center in Woodbridge, in the Amity area near the New Haven border). It has the same great food and it has a lovely hip interior. It has an open kitchen and bar/counter seating there. Service was excellent. We had red curry duck and spicy basil chicken, iced Thai tea, fresh rolls (shrimp spring rolls) and tom kar gai. The duck had a nice crunch to it and there was plenty of it. A big meal for two, where we could only eat half, was only $38.29 before tip! The food might be considered dumbed-down a bit on spiciness but it had some heat. It is not that "Americanized" like most Chinese food. They have an extensive menu. Ive never had a bad meal at Thai Stories... Considering the quality, price, atmosphere and service it deserves a five. For the moment it is BYOB. They do not have their license yet. BYOB and it is a super bargain!
