This place went from being one of my mine and my husbands favorite places to eat when we are in town visiting family to one of the worst experiences that we have ever had. We had reservations for a party of 20 at 3:00 We were celebrating my mothers 80th birthday and very excited to share what we thought would be a wonderful experience with her. It was understood when I called that we were coming for cocktails and appetizers. I said our party was from 3 to 6 and was told on the phone that was fine. They were very unaccomadating regarding serving any happy hour to our party as we were going to be seated in the UPPER bar area. From the minute our party arrived we were all treated rudely and spoken curtly to particularly by one woman named Mandy. 1 1/2 hours into our party She came to me and said we had 1/2 hour left of our reservations. She was adement that this was told to me which it was not. At this point we were ready to just be out of there any way so decided to go elsewhere so my mom could open her gifts. As we were leaving Mandy was approached by my friend, Mandy out and out lied to her and said she had called me yesterday to tell me number 1 that we had a 2 hour reservation, number 2 that they dont reserve for more than 6 people and number 3 that reservations were only for dinner. REALLY Mandy you are a lier, I never once received a phone call from you or anyone else that works there. I can not believe the horrible way you treated my family and my parents elderly friends. You lost any future business that you may have received from any of us!!! What should have been a special day you did your best to ruin, but you did not succeed. When we walked into La Sandias next door we were greeted with friendly people who were actually happy to have us there. They were awesome and actually saved the day. We should have started there. Will never make that mistake again!!!!!!!

I should have known when we entered later in the night and there were so many open tables. My wife and I went here after having an excellent meal at a different restaurant. We felt very good and primed for drinks and desert. Given that my wife dislikes traditional chocolate but loves white chocolate we felt this was going to be a great choice. There were only six deserts at all on the menu, two of which had no white chocolate at all. Of the remaining 4 most still had traditional chocolate. Every bar, cafe, restaurant, and bistro out there has multitudes of deserts most of which are traditional chocolate so there is an expectation that the White Chocolate Grill has a fair selection of white chocolate and few to no traditional chocolate deserts. We begrudgingly have to go with our 3rd choice as everything else was not simply white chocolate. Bread pudding with some white chocolate. A good chef knows his ingredients and makes the dish a balanced experience. What we had was not featuring white chocolate and its flavors, it was featuring a sugar explosion through the medium of white chocolate and using bread pudding to be a filler. While looking through the drinks that the bar considered their specialties there was one with white chocolate and it was paired with a traditional chocolate vodka, it seems in everything they dont actually want the white chocolate to be the star. I truly wish we had not left the other restaurant to come here as this was pathetic and the place we had entries was spectacular. There are too many significantly better places out there to take a date or anyone to impress please look elsewhere as this is not worth it, it tries to be up scale but the food and drink are not impressive or unique.

I can only write about our individual experience as this restaurant is not local to me. My girlfriend and I decided to check out the White Chocolate Grill one evening while visiting the Denver area from Maryland. We didnt read a full description of the place so I was initially expecting this to be a restaurant specific to the area. Turns out that there are 2 other locations in the country...so while still fairly exclusive, that kind of took away the local feel I was anticipating. When we walked in, I kind of got a vibe along the lines of Cheesecake Factory, though more upscale. The atmosphere was very energetic and the place was very nice. A bit on the dark side though...but the lighting was positioned as such so that the light shone directly down on each table. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip for an appetizer, and that was good. For our entrees, she got the center cut filet and I got the Balsamic Ribeye. Her filet came out overcooked and as a result, it was a bit dry and bland tasting...there really wasnt much in the way of seasoning on it. It also initially lacked the mushrooms that the menu said it comes with so she had to ask for those. She thought they had a spicy bite to them so she couldnt handle too many. It also came with mashed potatoes which were good, and she chose the glazed carrots as her other side which were also good. The ribeye was pretty good, particularly the glaze. The cut itself was a little gristly, even for a ribeye. Still good and flavorful though. It also had the mashed potatoes and I chose the steamed broccoli which was just that...steamed broccoli. I was able to dip it in some of the glaze which added some flavor to it. Our server was very good and helpful.

If I could give zero stars I would. It was my grandmas 80th birthday and we wanted to surprise her with a classy place to celebrate. There was nothing classy about The White Chocolate Grill. This was the worst experience Ive had at any restaurant. The customer service was horrendous, especially from the "manager", Mandy, whom I thought was just the hostess due to her unprofessionalism. We had reservations for about 20 people, my mom told the person on the phone that wed be there from 3:00-6:00, she said, "No problem". When we arrived for our reservations at 3:00, we were greeted with the most rude and unprofessional staff, already making it feel uncomfortable from the start. When the last of our party arrived at about 3:20, they were actually DENIED SERVICE at the bar!!! The bartender was told by "Mandy" to not serve anyone else from our party. At about 4:30 "Miss Mandy" told us we had 30 minutes left for our reservation (Thats only an hour and a half into a 3 hour reservation)...Are you serious?? She was actually kicking 20+ people (many elderly) out of the half empty restaurant!!! Not a great way to keep future customers, just a thought. Because of the very unpleasant experience, we went next door to La Sandia and were greeted by very friendly and happy people (the kind of people that know how to treat others and apparently like their jobs). Thank you Mandy, we had a fabulous time at La Sandia!!!

Our experience was terrible. From the hostess who did not smile, or make eye contact, and shrugged when we said we had a reservation. To the 10 minute wait we had while 5 other tables were sat. To the waiter who seemed hopped up on drugs, caffeine, or I dont know what. Our food arrived in a reasonable time, was hot, presentable and delicious. Offering a vegetable would be nice. Offering a variety of non-alcoholic drinks would be nice as well. What was really a shame, was that not one person wished me a happy birthday. Even though our Open Table reservation was made with the birthday notation, and even though my husband told our waiter when I was in the restroom. Our dessert was not comped, and another server barely made eye contact, didnt say a word, and practically dropped my banana pie with a droopy candle on it. Not one happy birthday, nothing. Really disappointing. The entire restaurant staff needs a complete overhaul in training, especially the front desk staff as they are front of the house. Wish we went to Cheesecake Factory, where at least they sing happy birthday to you, comp a dessert, and try to make it special. My other thought while dining at White Chocolate is that we should have booked at Perrys across the way - a much higher level of service standard. I dont think we will be back here.
