This is the first time in my life I did not leave a tip. The two female servers sat in the entry table texting and talking. I got up went and got a water pitcher came back and served my husband and myself, the one server glanced up and then went back to texting. The mother & daughter older couple in the front of the restaurant had to go to the kitchen to see if their meals were ready (they were and had been sitting there). The phone rang twice while we ate the horrible food and the servers didnt even bother to answer. The chicken mole was dry and meager portions. The beans had been let to set. It was by far the worst service I have ever experienced only plagued by a pathetic attempt at food of my cultural heritage. Basuda.

Made my entire family sick. There is no excuse for improper food handling. Safety of your customers should come first, especially kids. If you are interested in knowing about flavor, well it was average. Pretty much the same flavor you can get from any mediocre Tex-mex from anywhere in the US. Also they werent serving any chicken entrees, they said they were out. What kind of restuarant runs out of chicken?! Obviously the management has no quality control or oversight of the kitchen. My advice is if you choose to eat here, just make sure you arent too far from a bathroom for the next few hours. Good luck.

Great mexican food...coming from someone who grew up in Dallas with some of the best tex-mex restaurants on the planet. If your in Leadville and hungry for mexican food, do yourself a favor and stop here. The homemade taquitos from the appetizer menu (a full adult meal) are incredible...theyre more like mini chimichangas. The chicken and steak fajita seasoning and taste is maybe the best Ive ever had. The complimentary chips and homemade salsa too was unbelievably good. Service was great and I had a 16oz PBR right out of the can, lol, loved it! Be sure not to miss the "Cistern" in the rear bar area.

One of the best Mexican restaurants Ive ever been to. The salsa was fabulous. The carnitas burrito was amazing. The pork was tender and crispy, despite being in a burrito which usually makes it soggy. My wife had their mole and said it was the best shed had since visiting Mexico city. The service was very good as well. Everyone was very attentive despite being understaffed at the time. The flan was very sad though. Clearly frozen for too long, it was coarse and mealy. Terrible. Normally Id dock a star for that but everything else was so good Im gonna stick with a 5 star rating for them.

Stopped in here tonight to help replenish two of our group that had just completed the Leadville 100 MTB race. Having eaten elsewhere earlier that afternoon, I personally only ordered drinks and indulged in a plethora of complimentary chips and salsa. Both of my margaritas were very tasty, and I could have gone for a few more if not for the 100 mile drive back to Denver that layed ahead. Our server was personable, knowledgeable, and attentive. The food, although I can not vouch for taste wise, looked and smelled delicious and was reasonably priced.

Good food. The shredded pork was very good. We really liked the green salsa, too. Since we dont like raw onions, we didnt like the red salsa. The service was okay until after we got our food, then the waiter sat at the table right behind my husband, got on his phone, and never looked up again. We never got a tea refill during our meal. The food rates 5 stars, but the service gets 3 stars.

This place is epic!! I didnt figure Leadville would have any restaurant Worthy of five stars but I was wrong! Casa Sanchez is well worth the stop with amazing food, creative menu and great staff! Make sure to check out the entire place before you leave, there is a great part of Leadville history tucked away below the bar!!!

Mediocre service, low quality food; not even ice in the water! Food was bland and lacking flavor. Should be named Caca Sanchez. After reading Bat Man review I thoroughly agree,and will likely not be straying too far from a restroom for a while. Could be a good place if they got it together. Good luck.

Was really good food, fast service too. Or was rather empty when we were here. It has a small family run Mexican place feel. Only things I want a fan of was that it was kinda dim and that our waiter had a very thick Mexican ascent, which led to a couple awkward silences. Other than that it was great.

I was really surprised how much we liked this! The guacamole was fresh and my husbands pozole was great! I was even able to find a gluten free vegetarian option - spinach enchiladas on corn tortillas!! Our meals were so large, we couldnt finish them and we took them home for dinner. Delicious!

Sorry, what i had as Mexican food compared to Texas is night and day. Flavorless rice, frozen veggies mixed w sauce and ?microwaved? chicken? Bleh. My kids chimichanga was good, just adding green chilis and calling it tex mex or Mexican just didnt cut it. Beer was good though...

I came in after the lunch rush and it was still kinda busy. We were seated quickly and received excellent service. The meals will fill you up, perfect portion size. If you are in the mood for Mexican food and are in Leadville, this is the place to stop.

Best authentic mexican food I ever had for a reasonable price. It was a great surprise for a small town. Service was great. I would recommend this stop for anyone going from Aspen to South Colorado (Great Sand Dunes or Colorado Springs).

No bueno Mexican food. We wanted it to be good. We tried the tamales and enchiladas, food was not good. The sauce they used had a strange flavor. The rice and refried were okay. The Sangria was not good either. It was a disappointment.

Great food! Good prices, big portions. I live in Leadville and this is my FAVORITE place to send hard earned $ on eating out. If you like Tequila, their Family Made Tequila is awesome! Ask for the "Familia"!
