Went to Venice for a special dinner with reservations. The restaurant was very crowded and so loud that you couldnt hear across the very small table for 6. My wife and I ordered tuna. My wifes plate came with some mystery meat, that was not tuna. Rather than tell us they did not have any more tuna they substituted some other unrecognizable meat. She was very sick immediately after dinner. We returned the mystery dish for salmon which arrived nearly 20 minutes after everyone else had been served. My daughters spaghetti bolognese arrived nearly 10 minutes after the rest of our partys dinner. They never offered the usual grated parmesan cheese to her or other party members that had pasta dishes. Despite bringing these items to the attention of our server, he was quite indifferent. He did not offer to discount my wifes dinner despite the mystery meat prep, rather than tuna. It was crowded and Venice staff and cooks seemed to be completed overwhelmed. Prior to this evening, we were frequent guests at Venice. We have no plans to return.

I made a reservation a few days before New Years Eve for 13 people on the night of New Years Eve at 8:30pm. We arrived a few minutes early and were told that we would have to wait so that they could combined a table for us. We waited for almost an hour watching people that arrived after us being sat. We didnt say much to the hostess but we were given glasses of champagne while we waited and as we continued to wait patiently, the owner greeted us in much apology. He said that he would take care of us and when we were sat we had bottles of wine waiting for us and plenty of food to munch on while we looked over the menu and ordered. Our server was not very accommodating with the checks at the end of the night, and never really paid attention to checking up with us. If it was not for the Owner of this restaurant this review would have probably not have been so forgiving. He knows how to host people as if they were in his own home a true business owner and passionate individual. I would return only for service like his.

Terrible experience on Mothers Day for 2:30 Open Table reservation. Waiter, Steve L was annoyed from the start. He told us there wasnt much left and walked away. The table wasnt prepared with utensils or bread plates. Steve didnt return, but another young waiter eventually asked us for our order Salads arrived, but no utensils. Steve pulled them from another table and tossed them on our table. Finished salads and Steve said our ord er was coming. He stopped by a 2nd time to say the order was coming. It was 20 minutes between salad and dinner. During meal, no additional water was offered. With the billvee left a 2 page note describing our dissatification. Called the manager over and he could care less about our experience and left.

The staff, service, ambiance are all top shelf. I read Annes review and am disturbed, I am a native Coloradoan and understand our number one industry is tourism. I was not there, however if I had been no one would be yelling racial slurs or insulting anyone, one universe, one world, one humanity, one God, one love, respect! On California, my grandma lived in Santa Monica and I love it, however the Cali laid back style of the 60,70,80 is completely gone so many people have moved there it has lost its great vib and in fact the people are rude, unfriendly and act superior, is it possible Anne brought that with her? Ill be dinning there tonight with my Daughter cheers

Excellent food and service. Its crowded (as others have stated), but thats authentic and its not that bad. Its also a bit loud when theyre busy, but its not bad. The food though... oh my! Its fantastic. Ive had about half the appetizers, about six different main courses (fish 2x, pork, sausage ravioli, veal, chicken parm), caesar salad, and three of the deserts (ice cream, chocolate mousse, tiramisu). Everything is always outstanding. Wait staff is very attentive.

I am a frequent diner at this restaurant. My most recent visit was extremely disappointing. It seems that the menu has changed which I completely understand, however the presentation of the appetizer and entree which I ordered was not appealing and very skimpy. The antipasti was very limited and the sea bass entree was served with processed or possibly frozen vegetables. I feel that this is unacceptable in this type of establishment.

Excellent service, excellent food. Lots of restaurants have both. That was enjoyable. What made it memorable was...I ordered the wide egg noodles with wild boar shanks and root vegetables off the daily menu, and it was to die for. I dont know what the spices were in it, they were delicious. Memorable flavor. I gave a taste to everyone at the table, they were of like mind. Nice atmosphere too. Visited it on travel. Ill be back!

Not a great first impression. Waited 20 minutes at the table before they even brought us menus. We had to have waited 45 minutes to an hour before they brought out our dinner. They brought my boyfriend the wrong food, and my food was cold and had to be sent back. For desert we ordered a chocolate lava cake, it was $7 and NOT worth it! For the size we got it should have cost $2.50. May never be back after this experience!

Delicious food! The protions are not too big or small, flavorful and they do not skimp on the seafood in the seafood pastas. We started with the calamari and each got a type of seafood pasta (dont remember the names). All 3 were incredible! The owner walks around and talks to each table which I thought was cool. Our server, Suzanne, was so nice, helpful and down-to-earth. She could not have been any better

Crowded seating, no room out our table. I paid $12 for a glass of wine that was barely half a glass. Very loud, the waiter ignored me and only talked to my boyfriend. I was trying to treat us out to a nice night as I never get the chance to do so, and the waiter kept assuming I didnt have the money to cover the tab. My pasta was wayyyy to buttery and cold. Overpriced. Not happy, wont go back.

Great, romantic atmosphere. The entire meal, from the salad to the desert was beyond our expectations in every way! The hand rolled ravioli was cooked perfectly and the pasta sauce was authentic and delicious. Its rare to find Italian food that brings me back to my youth, but this absolutely did. Expect a fine dining experience with top notch service.

The food was much better with the previous chef in place last year. I get the same dish and the consistency of what to expect from it is all over the place now. This used to be one of my favorite places and we would drive out of the way to dine here. It just isnt worth the extra drive now. Very disappointed.

The rest of my family absolutely loved their autentico antipasto italiano. I did not love mine, however it was full of flavor (just not one i expected to over power the meal) and cooked to perfection. It was very loud but gorgeous decore and excellent service.

I made a reservation for 7:00 oclock for five people and when we showed up for our meal, They didnt seat us for 40 minutes. I am really disappointed because they said they would have a table ready.
