My husband and I came here on our last night in Denver on a Tuesday. We made a reservation on OpenTable about an hour or so before we wanted to go with no trouble: there were lots of time options available. When we arrived, we saw that the restaurant was pretty empty. We cam at 6:15PM and there were a few tables filled but there was a huge back dining area available. The decor inside kind of made me think of old school Art Deco, which I suppose corresponds with the hotel it is attached to. My husband and I started with the crostini appetizer and asked if we could substitute burrata on 2 because I am a vegetarian. Our server said this would be no problem at all. He also warned me that the olive tempenade that was coming would not be vegetarian (sardines in it). So thoughtful a nice! Overall our server was just outstanding. Very caring and thoughtful and a pleasure to have come to our table. They also serve you Italian bread, bread made with curry powder, and bread with parmesan. They were excellent! I got the bucatini with pesto and mushrooms as my entire and my husband got the agnolotti with veal. My husband could not stop raving about his. He said it was one of the best pasta dishes he had ever had. He said the pasta was al dente and the filling was so delicious and he is not typically one to get veal but he just loved it. Mine was pretty good too although it was a little watery which was sort of odd. Still, the flavors were pretty good and the bucatini was cooked well. The service was impeccable. Our server, as I said before was excellent. He checked in to see if we were doing well and joked a lot with is. He made this experience great! We were too stuffed for dessert so we passed. The prices are higher, but the quality of food is high so its worth it.

Our most recent experience here was just in the bar for happy hour, but weve been to the restaurant side several times as well and ALWAYS been wildly impressed. But last night we wend to the bar for happy hour (come early, its fills up fast) and was very impressed with the happy hour drink and food specials. They are just as exquisite as the main menu, just smaller portions. They have $5/6/7 plates, and I couldnt have been happier with each and every one. We had a tuna tartare, a scallop dish, a couple of different flatbread pizzas (caprese and crescenza), fried eggplant, roasted brussel sprouts, knocchi, etc. EVERYTHING was amazing. And they had great drink specials as well. The staff is always very attentive and courteous. The manager often makes an appearance at every table as well. This place is a hidden gem in downtown Denver. For dinner or happy hour, its fantastic. I hear they have a brunch that cant be beat as well. And even further Im told that the main chef (apparently quite a notable chef in all of the Denver Metro area) puts on cooking classes that are pretty awesome. Weve come to LOVE this place, as well as the Monaco hotel...

My fiance and I went to dinner here for our nice (something we try to do periodically) dinner on a recent getaway to Denver, and it was fantastic! Even with a nearby table being unbelievably loud at times, it was a wonderful experience. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful, and the service was excellent! We always had full water glasses, and finished plates were removed promptly, without it feeling like they were hovering. We started by ordering a bottle of wine, from their iPad based wine and drinks menu, which was very cool, if a bit daunting due to the size of their wine list. Our waiter provided advice on a wine that ended up being great for both our tastes. I had the best smoked tomato puree soup I can imagine, and my fiance had a wonderful salad, and then we proceeded with our main courses, which were also great, as was dessert. The atmosphere in Panzano is very nice...it feels cozy and intimate, but also lively. We also had an excellent table in a corner near the street, which was very nice. We would definitely go back again!

My wife and I ate at Panzano last weekend, and after hearing and reading so much about it, left very disappointed. We both got the chefs tasting menu. Two dishes were good (sausage ravioli and tiramisu) but nothing special, two were throwaways (cheese plate, and green salad), and one was just plain bad (skirt steak special). Usually the tasting menu is when the chef gets to show off a little. Just the fact that these five dishes were what the chef chose to show off should have thrown up a red flag. Anyone can put three pieces of cheese on a plate, and the salad was nothing but greens with a very plain vinaigrette. The mashed potatoes in the steak special were incredibly bland and were served with baby greens on top. Since when do lettuce and mashed potatoes taste good together? And if they are to be eaten separately why pile them on top of each other. Really just a bad dish. Service was very good and it has a nice atmosphere. Maybe we just got the wrong things, but Im no hurry to go back and find out.

This restaurant was definitely an experience not good but not horrible either! we were seated by the window so very cold! Especially since it was snowing outside. our server was good and explained everything. However at the end he ruined it by a very obnoxious comment he made towards my husband, unnecessary and very unprofessional on his part. Back to the food the appetizers were very good. The different combinations did in fact go well with one another. As for dinner thats a whole different topic!!! "There is a saying keep it simple because it works." Thats what the chefs should have done. We had the creme brulee dessert that was pretty good. Most likely will not be going back... Oh and hostess needs to update ALL patrons that parking is free if you park at the hotel garage. was not aware of this until after a $10.00 parking fee!!!

My wife and I went here for a special 10th anniversary dinner, and the restaurant lived up to our very high hopes and expectations. The food was outstanding, the portions generous, the service perfect. But what we really, REALLY liked was how this restaurant cares for people with celiac disease and others who need gluten free alternatives. We had the best meal weve ever had, by far, in the ten years since my wife was diagnosed with CD. It brought tears to her eyes. In particular, she was just amazed at actually having complimentary bread at the table that was gluten free: that just doesnt happen in other places. And since I can eat both with or without gluten, I can say that there was absolutely no drop-off in quality with the gluten-free alternatives. We look forward to returning for another special occasion - as soon as possible.

My wife and I spent a few days in Denver in April 2017, staying at the Renaissance hotel across the street from Panzano restaurant. We saw that Panzano had good reviews so we went there for two meals, a breakfast and a dinner. We loved the food, especially the breakfast. The pineapple pancakes were fantastic, but not because of the pineapples. Its just that the large, perfect pancakes were incredible in every way. The steel cut oatmeal was super. Our breakfast cost $54 for two, including coffee, juice, and fruit. The dinner food is good, too. Pastas cost 26 to 30 dollars, and entrees range from $28 to $40-ish. Service is very good. You should be sure to sit for a few minutes in the lovely Monaco Hotel lobby next to the restaurant. The restaurant is pricey but it is outstanding.
