Its a more upscale "chain" martini bar. Food was elevated bar fare, awesome selection of craft beer on tap, their martinis and sangrias are delicious, and they have an amazing happy hour til 7pm. Weve been to the space when it was Tilted Kilt, then frequented it when it became Fat Willys. We were bummed to see Fat Willys go (amazing sports bar), but perhaps the more upscale Bar Louie would be a better fit for the the collection of shops in the area. They stripped the space down and got rid of the pool table, shuffle board, games and all the TVs except for 8 wrapped around above the bar. They have high tables, low tables as well as groups of sofas next to a fireplace. It has dark wood tables, counter tops and trim, colorful tile accents and black leather type chairs all around. Lighting is soft and the space has a classy and casual vibe. They have an excellent selection of crafted drinks. My go to is a dirty martini - and their house dirty martini was perfect (5/5). I also ventured out of my comfort zone and tried their Sparklin Ruby Martini (Deep Eddy Ruby Red, St-Germain, La Marca Prosecco, fresh lemon juice) and their Cosmo. Both drinks were dangerously delicious (5/5). They also have a large selection of craft beers on tap. For food weve had the nachos (what you would expect - large portion and great for sharing 4/5), the ahi burger - tuna filet cooked a perfect seared rare (4/5), beef sliders - meh nothing special (3/5) and the strawberry shortcake/keylime pie (4/5) we requested extra keylime as it seemed to have a large proportion of cake to keylime. We also tried the bruschetta (very light and fresh but not flavorful) 3/5, their boneless wings (not overly breaded, juicy and tender but the sauce was just ok) 3/5, and chips and dip 2/5 (salsa was not great, the guacamole needed salt - queso was good). Service could have been a bit more prompt. But the atmosphere, the drinks and the happy hour specials make this place a 4 star in my book.

I came here with a girlfriend for dinner and drinks on a Friday night. Both the hostess and our server were very friendly. We could tell our server was either a little overwhelmed by the crowd or maybe new so still learning the ropes, but she remained sweet and upbeat the whole time. That being said, service was a little slow. But it was a girls night and we had drinks so we were fine. My favorite burger here is the blue Louie: blue cheese, bacon, spinach, buffalo sauce, and then I get a side of ranch to add to it. I get the turkey burger option but you can get regular, chicken breast, or a portabella too. It was cooked medium just like I requested and was dripping with saucy goodness. My friend got the roasted veggie flatbread. It had a nice combination of flavors. I prefer a super crispy crust (which this did not have) but she likes a softer crust so she enjoyed it. I splurged on dessert. And by dessert I mean the smores martini. Let me just say - oh em gee! I could have drank 5 of those things. Im normally not a huge sweets person but I do love me some Godiva liqueur. It was topped with marshmallows, chocolate syrup, and a graham cracker rim. Im salivating just reminiscing about it. They have $5 martinis during happy hour so Id like to go back to try some other of their other specialty drinks....or just have multiple smores martinis. Either way, there will be return visits.

Hour before closing they swept to the point where the broom literally touch my foot. Ordered by management. Than received no apologies when I voiced my issue and opinion besides being talked as if Im over reacting. I was offered free drinks only reason when I threatened to give a bad review on the corporate survey because free drinks means no receipt to give no review on the survey. She did that to protect her own job. When I offered to pay she refused and would not accept my credit card. Management created a very horrible customer service environment because they themselves dont care, probably lack of pay. In addition management is not knowledgeable of their own menu when you ask what IPA they have on tap. Food takes longer than acceptable and is hardly right. Customer service is horrible. The menu and drinks are good, but service is beyond bad. The environment established by management is beyond unprofessional. Which is sad because it could be a good restaurant if the right leadership was in place.

I usually enjoy this Bar Louie, but tonight was Valentines Day and was slow at the bar. Was 10 oclock at night and I got shown slow service while sitting at the bar. Unfortunately the two bartenders were more interested in talking to each other or the couples that were at the bar(maybe 2 other groups) than they were serving me. Bar Louie is really nothing special to me, I will most likely take my business to Baker Street (which is just where across the street) where service is prompt no matter where I am sitting. Thank you Bar Louie, I have tried to like you and I have in the past but your new bartenders are inattentive unless Im in a group

Cant say enough good things about this place. I was hesitant at first because I have not always had the best experiences at the southglenn location. However, this place is amazing and nothing like the other one. They have some of the best customer service that I have experienced at a restaurant in a long time. All the servers are very friendly and on top of it, and the manager has stopped by every time we have dined there since it opened! This is a new favorite and they have one of the best happy hours I have found in DTC, especially on Tuesdays! A must try for sure!!!

Terrible! We went here for lunch today...food took in excess of 40 minutes, server was nowhere to be found and when the food did come the salad order was wrong. They apologized and said the manager would come to the table, but the manager never came. Tuna burger was dry and salad was old-looking and wilted (I did eat a fair amount out of pure starvation)...to boot it wasnt even busy. I worked in a restaurant for 6 years and I know things can be difficult for servers, but this was UNACCEPTABLE. Will not be returning...ever.

Im not a person with high expectations and you certainly cant have them when you come here to bar Louie at DTC. The servers are just absolutely horrible the bartenders will walk by you five times look at you and not say one word we had two beers in the hour and a half we were here and to top it off the place smelled HORRIBLE!!!!! Dont waste your time or your money!!!!!!!! Overrated 4 sure! Instead of having a relaxing evening and enjoying a few drinks I am annoyed irritated and not intoxicated.

Im giving 4 stars, although would prefer to give 3.5 which is not an option, due to the variability of quality that we have experienced here. We love the location, happy hour specials, and outdoor seating. They have a great selection of wines, beers, and liquor. Unfortunately, their appetizers go from great to poor. During happy hours, it can be difficult to get help, and you may have to wait for refills or more apps.
