I tried to eat here at 6:30 pm on a Saturday evening. It was so busy, they ran out of pagers and took my name assuring me they would find me when a table was available. My party found seats at the bar. We, ordered drinks and an appetizer. I immediately informed the hostess I was seated at the bar and was not given a pager. She assured me they would come get me when the table was ready. Fifty minutes later, I checked with the hostess on the table status. They said they paged me several times with no response (acting like this was somehow my fault). They tried to seat me at a table next to the kitchen entrance. It was noisy, dark and with no tables settings; an obvious last resort table. I said I did not want to sit there after spending $85 at the bar - waiting 50 minutes for my table, and telling the hostess where I was sitting, but they never bothered to write it down. I asked the hostesses for their names; instead they sent me the young arrogant non-apologetic manager who offered nothing but excuses. He tried to make me feel bad they were busy, and ran out of pagers. He then proceeded to tell me that he had placed people at the kitchen table "all night long." I no longer wanted to stay or spend another $120+ to order dinner and expressed a desire to leave. He did get me a better table in just 2 minutes, but I wanted to leave. It only only then that he showed any interest in dealing with my NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE. Go to a nice restaurant with good service...it will not be that much more. HOWEVER, I totally need to say that the bartender was excellent. He was attentive, helpful, and efficient. I shouldve just ate there. So - if you need to throw money at this establishment...spend it in the bar!

Last nights experience with our to-go food from Outback was the last experience with Outback Ill ever have... at least at the Golden, CO location. We ordered two burgers, a shrimp ceasar salad, and an extra side of asparagus. First, I waited outside for 20 minutes beyond the quoted "ready time" after being told when I got there that it would be "A couple more minutes." Rushing home with the food (we only live 4 minutes away) led me rushing home to disappointment. The bun on both burgers was inedible. I took a bite and the bun BROKE and CRUMBLED; luckily we had our own burger buns at hand so we could swap them out. The lettuce looked like it was left almost near a fridge for the past week and was brown and wilted. The tomato was still a bit green and also not worth eating. I ordered the "Aged Cheddar Bacon Burger" that I received without bacon on it... Bacon is in the name of the **** burger! They didnt bother trimming the inedible crunchy white part off the asparagus before cooking it and I didnt even take a full bite before throwing it away; it was dry, wilted and horrendously disgusting. Oh, and we paid for cheesy bacon fries with one of the burgers that came without cheese or bacon. So all in all, the order wasnt right, the food we got wasnt good, and I wish we had gone to taco bell... it would have been quicker, cheaper and higher quality. I heard that the salad wasnt bad, and the bread was good too. The guy who was working the to-go orders was friendly and polite.

Its been years since I ate at Outback, and I remember it being loads better. The blue cheese wedge salad was delicious, but it was swimming in dressing. My husband had the house salad, which looks very basic in comparison. I was happy we asked for bread because there was a bit of a wait for our food, but even for a Wednesday, it was busy. I ordered Aussie cheese fries, which were severely disappointing: overly salty, bad presentation, and the bacon looked weird. The blooming burger was also disappointing, because the cheese tasted like something from Jack In The Box, the blooming petals tasted old, and very little lettuce/tomato on the bottom. Overall, the combination of flavors on the burger wasnt special, so I definitely believe the allure to Outback is to order anything that isnt a burger. My husband ordered prime rib, so his entire dish was done just right and melted in our mouths. The servers were very attentive, although extremely busy, but we were taken care of. After my experience, I probably would hesitate to go back to Outback, but if I needed a steak, I may give them another go.

Our family thought it would be fun to eat at a suburban chain restaurant and saw the outback steakhouse near the mall. The layout seemed very typical for this type of establishment with seating on the parameter and a bar in the middle. A television was within view no matter where you sat showing some sports program that no one should care about. the table we were sat at was sticky and food was scattered about our feet making it feel as if we were dining in the middle of a Mexican fair. We ordered appetizers including the artichoke spinach dip and a couple of steaks for the adults and ribs for our daughter. the appetizer was inedible and was left untouched. the steaks were also very disappointing and we decided that the meat was only good enough for our dogs. How suburbanites are able to entertain themselves with this atrocious food and environment amazes me. We will stick to local places in the city for now on and avoid the suburbs as much as possible. Yuck!!!!
