Horrible experience! It was mostly empty when we arrived at 11:30. Very rude when we asked if we could move 2 small tables together so our party of 6 could sit together. Told us we would all fit on one small table. Then we waited 10 minutes before walking up to bar and ordering our own drinks. 40 minutes after walking in we watched several other tables order and receive their food. Finally flagged down the waitress told us she had to get this other table that walked in way after us first then she would take our order. After 90 minutes from the time walked in we got our food. One in our party cannot have dairy everyone at the table heard him say no cheese no sour cream. Waitress argued with him about the sour cream on his chilli finally told him to just wipe it off! She never came back to our table the rest of the time. We even had to go up to the bar to get refills the whole time. Never in my live have i had a waitress argue with a customer! Staying here on vacation and love to try local restaurants but i will never spend another dollar in this place!

A great cowboy dive bar in a historic cowboy town. I love Fairplay, it is real Colorado. Its ranching country. Real Colorado, no sushi and big city nonsense, bison burgers, beef and local meat! The bison burger is perhaps the best bison burger Ive had. Sourced from local bison and cooked perfectly, that is juicy. The specials are good, lasagna, meatloaf and really anything that is special is house made. The staff is great, Melissa is very friendly, knowledgeable and good at her job. She gave my brother and I some good happy spots to hit in Breckenridge. I normally stop her to and from Breck. Its worth it. Im willing to bet that Fairplay hasnt changed a lot in the last 100 years, saved paved roads. And thats good in my book!

Worst place in FairPlay/SouthPark. We went in on a Monday which we knew was going to busy, and the woman behind the bar just stared at us expecting us to know what to do. We sat at the table for 15 minutes and then the waitress yelled at us from across the room and help up menus. When she came over to our table finally, everything we wanted to order, they were out of. Place is dirty, the only woman at the bar was terribly rude. Food was worst then carnival food. Terrible! Place should stick to serving alcohol and forget food service. Owner should seriously consider firing the nasty women behind the bar! Over priced and disgusting!

Owner is completely rude and entitled, patrons include perverts, drunks, people who the bar is aware are not supposed to drink for the safety of the community, and the mayor at 10 am at the bar. Dont worry though, the police will make sure he gets to his truck or corvette to drive to work drunk safely. Food is bad, service is bad, pool table is uneven, dead silent unless you pay for a jukebox surrounded by said patrons. Wait the 15 min and eat in Breckenridge.

Perfect in every sense of the word! Most places that serve food in Fairplay just serve frozen food that they reheated. Not this place. Made from scratch, priced insanely well, and with decor that caters to that "simple mountain humor" youll love this place. The food was amazing, the service great, and I have to say for food after dark, you cant go wrong here!! Why are you still reading this review? Go get their chili!
