I waited a few days to write this review in order to allow myself to calm down and give an accurate account of my experience at Breakfast Inn. It did not work. I am still angry. Last Sunday, 8/26/12, myself and five friends were looking for a place to have breakfast. We generally like momnpop type places and thought wed give Breakfast Inn a try. I wish I had read these reviews first. The woman who served us could be described as "Spacey" "Careless" "Unattentive" or any number of things that mean "Bad Server", that is, I would describe her that way if every other table in her section didnt get impeccable service. Everyone at my table had to make their drink orders twice, except me. I had to ask for a glass of orange juice four times. The final time she snapped "I know!" and hurried away to return with my orange juice a full fifteen minutes later. We were finally allowed to order and, though we were the only people in our area when we first sat, everyone now seated near us was already eating. After a significant wait, our food arrived and mine was cold, over cooked in some areas and under cooked in others. My roommate, who had ordered the same thing, concurred that it wasnt good. (Veggie Benedict, if youre wondering.) We asked that the food be replaced and what we each ordered next was passable. Ultimately, the place was dirty and poorly taken care of. The service was really terrible and the even the good food wasnt that good. Avoid at all costs.

THIS PLACE IS A JOKE!!! Best breakfast in Denver??? Are you serious people? The food fits in with the likes of Dennys and Perkins. The service is comical..perhaps some of the most inept servers I have ever come across. Unless you are a "regular" (the idea of regulars at this place makes me laugh) they could care less about the quality of service they provide. The hostess was as friendly as a prison inmate and didnt ask how the food or service was. The reason she didnt ask was because she already knew the answer, HORRIBLE! A tip for management, the hostess is probably one of the most important people in the restaurant, if not the most important. They MUST BE FRIENDLY! I highly suggest you submit your "restaurant" as a candidate for Restaurant Impossible. You need help! You sell large portions of bland filler food such as potatoes and onions. No flavor, no style, no class, and dirtier than the bottom of your shoe! They even have the audacity to put a sign in the vestibule stating "Rate us on Yelp". After their 3rd and final strike we are most certainly rating this place. 1 star in every category I can think of except one, 0 for service. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Le Peep is miles above this place and thats saying something!

I got seated right away, but my waitress walked by me numerous times before allowing me to order. I ordered an early bird special, since I was seated before 8:30. It was very bland so I asked for salsa, and she never brought it. They were not very busy at the time. Free WiFi is nice, and the train is a fun touch. Sign says theyve been here 40 years, and I heard some patrons say, "Ill have my usual," and the coffee cups and silverware are probably that old, though the place itself has been updated some. A man cleaning of tables was very thorough, folding down the flaps and cleaning out the cracks, plus vigorously wiping the underside of each table. Bathroom was small, very dated, not very clean, and the stall door would not lock.

I dont know what people like about breakfast inn so much. I went to go eat here and there is a horrible kitchen burned food Grease smell as I walked in it made me turn right around and walk out. My wife however did end up ordering some food here. The wait staff will stay in the kitchen area and ignore youunless know you. We both ended up using the bathrooms at breakfast Inn. it was horrible I had to hold my breath in the mens room while I urinated and washed my hands. I literally lost my appetite. Womens restrooms and supposed to be better than men but my wife felt exactly the same when she came out of the womens restroom. The gravy on the food which was watery and tasteless had questionable unidentifiable meat in it.

In and out fast on a Saturday morning, it was all business once inside. Breakfast is often a fun memorable time. The service was quick, even while moderately busy. The menu was extensive. I had the biscuits and gravy, a side of bacon and rye toast. Standard biscuits and gravy. Nothing spectacular that made me faint in ecstasy. Rye toast wasnt very toasted and lacked butter. Bacon was bacon. Coffee was delicious. Good service but hardly verbal interaction between the staff occurred at all dining levels. Was sort of impersonal really. But I was in and out fast, yes yes, that was excellent. The prices were good and competitive. I like supporting local restaurants. Try it out. Youll be glad you did.

Ive probably been here about 30 times in the 5 years Ive lived here. So, let me give it to you straight. First off service CAN be spotty, about 1 in 5 visits we get a waitress that leaves us going "OK what the..." But most of the time, they kill it. When it comes to food, Id say if youre vegan, you might be disappointed, they give options, but its not exactly a pro vegan kind of place, so, speaking frankly save yourself the grief. The vegetarian green chili over tots however, is amazing. With that said, the better you know how the menu translates to plate, the happier youll be. The country skillet comes highly recommended from me and mine. The Mexican plates are surprisingly delicious as well.

This place is a joke. Walked in at 8 am and was told there was a 20 minute wait, pretty normal for a sunday however there where 8 empty tables in the restaurant. When we finally got seated a waitress ran up and screamed at us that we couldnt sit at that table because they were waiting on people that were coming in an hour. The waitress then proceeded to have an argument with the hostess in front of us. After 5 minutes of this going on we decided to leave. The waitress yelled at us that we were mad for no reason and that we should wait like we were told to.

Best breakfast burrito in the City! And let me give you a little insider info - ask them to make it with tater tots instead of hash browns. Youll thank me. The staff here couldnt be friendlier. Everyone who works here has a smile on their face and they make the place feel like home. If you go more than once, they will remember your name. Youll start noticing the same people and it is obvious to see why they keep coming back. I have never had to wait for a seat (maybe because we go very early) and the food and service is always great!

Weve never really had a bad experience here..this is actually one of our favorite places to take our kiddo to eat. Breakfast, lunch, dinner..anytime. It seems from the bad reviews posted about 4 years ago, things have turned around. Weve been going here about that long though.. the servers and hostesses are all very friendly and pretty prompt. The food is typical greasy spoon cuisine. The prices are okay..a little higher than some places like Dennys or IHOP. But that doesnt deter us from coming back.
