We have been here numerous times over the years. It has progressively gotten more inconsistent. We had forgot the last time we went we said would be our last time but we gave it another chance. Super slow service took 12 minutes to take our order. Ordered chili con queso with no beans however when it arrived it had beans which was obvious. Told our server she said she had to check with the kitchen and then came out to tell us what we already knew that they had put beans in it. By this time another 10 minutes had passed and she asked if we wanted a new order but we declined since our food would be out shortly. Our food arrived I ordered the crispy relleno with medium chilie. Chillie was very mild and halfway through relleno realized it was not fully cooked and the egg batter was raw. Told server, she was going to have them cook me a new order came out of kitchen to ask if I wanted something else because they were having several complaints about the rellenos . Ordered enchiladas instead also ask for coke refill and she brought me a diet had to waive her down for a new coke. After ordering enchiladas they came after about 20 minutes. Then another 20 minutes for a box and the check. Total time at restraurant 1 hour 40 minutes. This is the last time. Also a manager never came by which you would expect after so many mistakes.

Tonight is the first time I have ever gotten up and left a restaurant for poor service....went to El Jardin for dinner granted it was busy but we got seated pretty fast gave our order and was waiting on food....a couple came in sat across from us gave their order and the table behind us came in gave their order the wait person came out and told us that there was a back up in the kitchen so it would be a bit yet and then proceeded to serve the table across from us and the table behind us who had came a good 10 to 15 minutes behind us.....when we spoke to the manager she told us that it depended on what table we were at.....I told her no we were leaving and walked out ........

Yes I recommend this place. They have some awesome mexican food. I love love love Mexican food, and so far I have to say this is one of the best places I have been to. I tried a shrimp fajita grill mix or something like that, and a chicken quesedilla. The quesedilla was okay, but the shrimp was sooooo good! The prices are quite decent as well! The food was excellent. The service was also excellent. It was a lady and she was nice and made sure everything was good. The atmosphere was good. So overall, I recommend this place. Especially the yummy shrimp grill!

They charge for every little thing. When we ordered in I asked for extra onions which they charge for and there where very few so I asked side and they charged me for also. Needed a Togo box they brought me a paper plate and a piece of foil. When I asked about a box they said they had to charge me. Take out orders are just as bad charging you even for plastic forks. Wait staff act as if there doing you a favor just by being there. Most coupons are good for dine in only. They need to get with the times. Very out dated decor and attitude.

The staff was very friendly. So many restaurant owners underestimate the importance of a geniunely friendly staff. We felt welcomed and appreciated. The salsa was tasty. My shredded pork burrito came smothered (I asked for hot, and boy it was hot....loved it!). Tasty food, friendly staff, decent prices...what more do you need? They have $1.99 Margaritas, but I cant remember what day/hour for this special. Its a certain day of the week (hour of the day). Check it out if you want gooooood Mexican food.

The food is really reallygood. The salsa and chips that they give you is soo good that youll get full of of it. The waiters are soo nice and attentive its actually really surprising i have never been to a restaurant that treats their customers soo good its refreshing, definetly makes you want to go back again , and THEY HAVE COUPONS!!!! I would absolutely recommend it. The prices are great too. I had the mexican hamburger and it was really good.

My food was great but what spoiled the expirence was when we ordered quesadillas for our kids off the kids menu for $6 each. I understand the convenience but thats a lot of money for something that looks like I could have made in my microwave at home. The "meal" didnt even come with fries or any kind of side. I dont know if its their idea of keeping kids out but with 3 kids we will not be returning because that is outrageous.

I have been going here sense i was very little over 8 years. The food has always been good and great service. The only problem i have is they used to server burritos with cheese, lettuce ect ect and now when you order a burrito it is a plan burrito and to get cheese or lettuce you have to pay. So they have lost most of my business i have been going to La Casa Del Ray down the street. :(

They serve more of a TexMex menu and I have never ordered something and not liked it. The wait staff is almost always great, occasionally one will be having an off day, but it is very infrequent... we go a lot. They have a lot of room so they dont seen to often have long waits. If you get their membership card, you can often get free food which is awesome. Finally, their horchata is awesome.

The place is in little Mexico, which makes me feel at home (West Coast). My favorite kind of Mexican food is where all the ingredients are plopped on a plate and you can barely tell the difference between a burrito and a taco. You know that youre getting a meal here. Great place to take a gal out on a date if you want to know how her bowels operate later in the night. 5 stars El Jardin!

My husband and I really love going there for the fine food and service. Tonight I had two coupons I wanted to use. When I went there I did not realize that they had expired 5 days ago, I just remember I needed to use them in April. The manager would not honor them!! I was very disappointed in his decision which has left a very sour taste in my mouth:(

Great margaritas. Good service. But they REALLY need to take it easy on the cheese. Had seafood enchiladas for 15 dollars but is was a gloppy pile of cheese. The only thing that wasnt WASNT smothered in cheese was the rice and margarita. Lighten up. Maybe try queso fresco or less cheese. You could probally lower prices on money you would save.

This place is incredible. I am super picky about mexican food growing up in AZ and living in San Diego for college. Amazing food, fantastic service, legit and tasty margarita list. You cant go wrong! Chili con queso was impossible to stop eating. Fresh house made salsa with delicious chips. I could go on and on...
